Saaame, I really want those wings! I love the idea of a centaur body but its way too expensive for me right now. The horse head is so goofy looking though

 

The horse head looks a little out of proportion to me. A little small? It looks off. Though I think the sculpt itself looks beautiful.

I want little minifee unicorn I'll wait until Denver Doll mentions something about it or posts their listing. I can't buy the body + horn in one go lol. Def gonna do layaway through DDE.

 

Same about the wings, I probably could outright buy them but I'm going to see if DDE will let me layaway them and ship them with my Rames, I haven't ordered Rames yet so I'm going to see if I can order the wings with him through DDE

 

I also think the horse head is too small. With a longer neck and bigger head it would look better, and I'd be more interested in it. I'm excited to get a pair of wings! I sold the ones I got with my Sircca and regretted it. Now I have a winged character that they'd be perfect for! The only worry I have is Fairyland said they've changed the magnet position on the wings; hopefully they can still be used on human backs and not just the horse body. I'm excited to see the black grey color, I might even replace my Sircca's centaur body with one in black grey.

 

I'm probably going to spend a bit digging through to see if someone might have asked this, but I'll ask here too.

I have an older a-line that I would love to be able to use the hands from DDE and magnetic ankles. Does anyone know if the wrist/ankle connectors fit alright with the older bodies?

I've tried using the hands from my newer girls and they're sliiiightly off on the internal sanding but I don't really want to sand away anything. I'm getting a Niella head for it on monday and want to try finding the more masculine hand options for the character.

 

In addition to the question @Peneyofdeath asked- which I'd like to know the answer to also - Is there anywhere on this site that compares the old a-line bodies (pre-magnetic feet) with the new one? I've looked but can't find this.

I don't believe that FL sells separate magnetic wrist joints like they sell the ankle joints. Also, the color might be quite a bit off due to yellowing, but I think the ankle joints would work because that's why they sell them.

 

I actually have both those if you want me to take a picture. (today is my friend's birthday...so it'd probably be tomorrow). And Denver Doll Emporium actually has both wrist and ankle joints. They're $31 each (Edit to add...you were correct, there's only the ankle joints there. I'll ask if they can get them in.). There is a subtle difference in the red tones, but that's because the red in resin is the first to go first. Ironically that also happened to some parts I dyed for someone else too. I'm already aware that there'd be a slight color difference, already dealing with that with the head I'm getting. Right now I have to use this body instead of getting a new boy body because even though it's legit, and bought from a legit-only person, I can't find any of my conversation with the person and wasn't sold with a CoA. So I have to deal with making it the best I can.

 

Mine is actually female a-line and almost the same story. At first I noticed some differences and was worried but as I’ve begun researching, I’ve discovered that the differences were actually legit differences with the older bodies. For instance, the leg mechanisms have changed a bit. My female body is slightly yellowed but I needed that for an older head that I love and this one matches perfectly. Both the body and the head predate COAs, but both were bought through reputable non-recast people - the head here at the marketplace. I was just surprised I couldn’t find detailed pictorial posts of the changes through the years. That would be a cool thing for someone who has been collecting minifees for a long time to do. Although I did find a post complaining about the new hands not quite fitting the older bodies. If I got the ankle and wrist joints, I would probably try to blush them a bit.

 

Yeah, I messaged DDE and Fairyland doesn't sell the wrists separately. Looks like I get to mod them to get the hands to fit. At least it's easier to blush hands to match than the wrist joint.

 

I have a first release F-line (Sia Mermaid) and she can't share hands with any of my new A-line dolls. Definitely makes me sad because I had gotten a manicure on newer hands that I would love to see with the fin arms.

On a side note: Is anyone getting Ramses' designer set? I got Iset's and F60 Alan's but then I saw some unpainted versions and loved that too. Decisions decisions.

 

Hello! I've also been looking at the new unicorn that was just released! I was thinking of buying a head in order to shell out a centaur character. My question is has anyone here ever attempted to do an anime faceup on a fairyland head? With the exaggerated eyes and makeup? I've been trying to see which head sculpt would look the best, but am having a hard time finding images, and was wondering if I could get some feedback on whether it could work or any images? I was thinking of the Honoka head sculpt.

 

@Nymui I have one MNF that is anime styled, my MNF Kyle is made to be Ciel Pantomhive from Black Butler. One of my friends did his face up and the brand mark on his back. Anyway his face up was styled to be as close to anime and manga as would look good on the mold.

Thank you! The sculpt and faceup really fits the character well! I guess I'll just have to be very careful on the faceup and compromise with the sculpt I choose. Hopefully it'll look as great as your Ciel!

 

I'm for sure getting the Rames fullset unpainted! Mainly because I don't want to pay extra for painting haha! But yeah, definitely getting his fullset because he looks so cool, getting him in tan as well

 

Does anyone know or has anyone asked what the black resin looks like?

 

I wonder if it will be like the black resin they used when they made the extra faceplate (they called it a mask) that went with the real puki they released last Dec. Picture below

It says on the blog post that it's dark grey with a purple shine? I asked them for pictures, I hope they can provide one. It's a little silly to be expected to go in blind for a purchase like this. they also said that woosoo is being sold at Adoll and I REALLY hope they give us the option because that's the one head I've been waiting for to return

Sorry if this has been asked before! I'm looking into getting a couple of MiniFees straight from FairyLand; how does the "beautiful white" hold up? I was eyeing the two vampire sculpts available and thought they'd look good in WS, but I'm not sure how it yellows I've tried searching around but everything seems to be from 2010-2013 so I'm not sure if there's been any change since then...

 

Interesting! Here's what they said. I also asked them if Fairyline would continue past the event:


"1. Videos are taken by our sculpting team and we will pass on your suggestion to have a video released. For reference, the black grey is the colour of the painted Anubis mask, that was featured with Rames packages.


2. FairyLine will be temporarily available until September 5th but we cannot confirm this as the line may still be available for sale if our processing schedule can manage. "

So I guess it is the Anubis color. Cool. I don't see the purple, but XD
