Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 67

I know I am alone in loving the blue tone on their face ups, but honestly I love the look of it. I wish I had the skill to do face ups like Fairyland's. I am super sad I can't get the Lami pout heads with face ups from them, it's heartbreaking.

 

Yes, exactly. I fell in love with Sirin because of the soft faceup on her promo pictures, but what I got just looks so different.
Well, it is what it is, I guess, keeping fingers crossed for the faceup slot.

But I don't want to complain too much though, she's still a beautiful doll, the body can hold almost every pose, the sculpting of the face and hands is gorgeous and I was pleasantly suprised that there were no prominent seamlines on her. So, overall I'm still happy with my first Minifee.

 

@Amadiel oh that is a lot of blue. Usually it's much lighter. I'm glad you are still happy with her. A new face-up may be a good idea but I think she's still very pretty. So take lots of pics so you can remember it. Maybe some in a bit of moody light.

 

It kind of makes you wonder if there is something wrong with the lighting in the room where they are doing the face-ups.

I do like the face up on Lami though and am just trying to make up my mind as to how it want to order her - basic? Full set? Basic with heel feet, hands and event head? I am definitely getting the extra elf expression head though! (However, I kinda wish it was just a plain elf head.) I think her face up is really beautiful in the pictures.

Does anyone know how long this event will last? How long do I have to make up my mind?

Dollquest, if you are thinking about the elf head, then you need to make your decision quickly - the sale period for it will end on January 13th.

 

There does seem to have been a lot of variation with the Sirin face ups. Some have really heavy brows, or dark lips, or a lot of blue shadowing. I think I fell lucky with my girl. The only part I disliked was the dark gap between her lips, so I put a bit of white in there to try to give the illusion of teeth. If I were more skilled I would attempt a tooth line, but I don’t want to tinker with it too much. I am not sure what can be done to remove the blue shading without damaging a face up

Yeah, not a minifee, but I just got my Miwa Fairyline 60 and I feel like there was more blue in her face than I expected. It's not as extreme as some examples I've seen now, but I didn't get the feeling that there would be as much blue from the sample pictures. (Btw, full set wasn't available anymore for her when I ordered. Where should I go for clothes for this size?)

I'm going to have to get one at some point, although Lami tempts me, but she's close enough to Chloe that I might be safe for a while.

 

Lami is def on my wishlist! But I'll hold off buying her this event. I want her blank anyways. I agree she looks similar to Chloe. They look like sisters. Which when I do get her one day she will be my Chloe's sister I hope to see her in tan once people start getting them in a few months.

 

ppl would have reccs for clothes for Fairyland's 60cm dolls in the large doll forum but try etsy i guess? just check that theyre for SD or 60cm dolls.

 

Pretty sure they have an option to get her blank unlike with past releases. Not to tempt you or anything

I think I saw your pictures on Insta when I was looking for owner pictures of Sirin. Your faceup is nice and soft like the one on the promo pictures, mine happened to be more on the dark side, I guess.

But I actually managed to get a faceup slot with Pauliannedolls for my Sirin, so I couldn't be happier right now.
I sent her off on her journey today, so curious what she will look like when she returns.

@vanori @lully.lullers Lami does look a bit like Chloe! I knew I liked her for some reason! Chloe is my favorite of the ones I own. I just ordered Lami with the face-up. I really like it in the pictures, although I ordered her in ns.
