1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 67

Oct 15, 2021

    1. I have a Lishe boy, but haven't had the time to paint his face and get him clothes. All the dolly buying last year exhausted my brain and wallet. :sweat

    2. Haha, fair enough! I was just wondering since I'd like to make my Lishe winking elf a boy, trying to shell a character who's blind in one eye.

    3. I finally finished Roon's shield, it has been waiting for 2 years at least. I finished the sword long ago.

    5. I saw discussion about turning girl sculpts into boys and I am a big fan of this! I have a Sircca boy, and my best friend has a Mirwen boy (I have an F60 Mirwen boy as well but hers is minifee). I also think some of the other available sculpts could be great boys. The new girl Iset, for example, I think could make an awesome boy! Sylvia I also think could be a great boy!

But, since the only girl head turned minifee boy I have is Sircca, he's all I can share but I again, love Sircca as a boy!

    6. @malvinas Yay, Sircca boy, and absolutely adorable!!! I really love his eyes :D

It didn't even occur to me to share my Sircca boy :doh He stole Alan's outfit as soon as he had arrived, and hasn't relinquished it since. The hat is technically a little much for my alchemist but... I like it too much to put it away LOL

    7. Nooo! Don't tempt me with a Sircca boy!

But for girl sculpts as boys spam, Lukas, my Shushu boy, is always happy to make an appearance here.

    8. It's always seemed to me that most, if not all, MNF sculpts could be either gender. My Alan girl doesn't seem at all masculine, and makes a charming girl. Admittedly, Alan is designed to be a pretty boy. The thing is, that these dolls are young adults or older teens, and by then, the testosterone has kicked in. Men usually have heavier brow lines, bigger jaws, bigger noses, too. I recently saw a kpop show where the all male group were in drag, and they made ugly women! Since they were all Korean, you can't say that Asian men, even the cute and somewhat androgynous members of a boy band, look like women. Maybe they just prefer not to make really masculine sculpts.

    11. Maya & Risse[IMG]
Excited to share my first new minifee purchase Maya! My Risse was a secondary market purchase. Risse is currently on a moe body, but I want to switch her to an A line. Problem is, her head does not seem to fit on Maya’s neck connector! Is this a common issue? I don’t want to spend the money on a body only to find that it does not fit. Very frustrating!
Can someone please explain how to post a pic from Flickr on here? It won’t work for me

    12. Next to your photo, there's an arrow, click on that, select "BBCode" then choose the size, I normally have mine set to medium, then copy and paste the entire thing in the box! (I hope that makes sense!)

    13. @AnnC They're so pretty!!!!
I think Risse is one of the heads that are a little smaller than the other heads (mika/mir being the other one?). It shouldn’t affect her being able to be put on the other body, but i have noticed that my much older ruth’s head is bigger on my newer bodies’ neck mechanism than my sircca or dina heads, or even my retirement karsh heads, and it would have needed to be sanded just a little bit to fit if i had wanted to put her on one of my newer bodies (i can’t remember if it was a moe body or A line, but it was probably the moe body since i tend to pop her on any of my spare alines).

Is the neck hole too tight or too big?

    14. The neck hole on the A line is too small so her head won’t slide down properly into the mechanism so I cannot turn the key.

Can it be done on a phone or do you have to use a PC?

    15. @AnnC Do you mean the hole in her head is too small or the neck of the body is too small? hopefully if it’s the hole in her head you can just sand it a little bigger! i had an issue with new extra hands not fitting properly on a new body earlier the year.. hm.

Anyway, i looked around to fact check Risse and Mika/Mir being “small” - Risse and Mika/Mir can’t fit on the Fairyline bodies apparently according to FL. Someone on the forum apparently got their Risse on a Fairyline body fine though. So I think her going on Activeline should be just fine, unless her head’s hole is too small?

    16. For Flickr, I believe it has to be done on PC.

For the neck thing: Fairyland is horribly inconsistent with their neck keys. I have dolls straight from FL that have loose heads, and some that the key is dang near impossible to turn! It could be the key part itself, it could be the neck hole in the head, or it could be both.

    17. It is the head hole that appears to be too small. She fits fine on the Moe body that I have though, so it appears the neck connector on that body must be slightly smaller. I did speak to a couple of people who have had a similar experience with Risse. Someone said that they bought a Risse direct from FL and they could see that FL had done some sanding inside the dolls neck hole to make it fit.

    18. If you don’t want to mod anything you should be able to swap the neck connectors. My friend and I did that with our newest girls (she has a moe girl, I got the active line).

    19. Is it easy to do? I can do it without restringing, right?
