1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. I couldn’t resist any longer and bought one of the last special skin *boy minifees in stock at DDE :3 I got El, and I’m SO FREAKIN EXCITED. He’s going to be so much fun to paint!!!

    3. Please post pictures when you've done the faceup!! I am so interested to see what people have done with blue or grey skin but haven't seen anything so far.

    4. I’ll do my best! I’m not good at posting pics on DOA, but they will absolutely be on my Instagram! :) I am also curious. My friend just purchased a grey El with a GORGEOUS faceup (you can find him I believe on stardrifted’s Instagram page). But I haven’t seen much else other than him!

    5. Oh wow! I just looked on Instagram! Your friend's El Elf is really cool!

    6. Right? We had both been admiring him since stardrifted posted him, and we can’t believe he made his way to one of us :) Sometimes things just work out in funny ways! I saw him in person yesterday and he is just absolutely awesome.

On another note, I really like the Fairyline body. Granted, I don’t have any experience with the other fairyland boy bodies so I’m not sure of the differences, but I really like how it handles. Does anyone have any thoughts on how they compare?

And my boy was just delivered to my house today eeps! I’m hoping for good humidity soon so I can do his faceup, but I’m not crossing my fingers. The weather here is terrible xD

On topic of the differences in the male bodies, there are folks out there with side by side images. However I own many Motion Line males, a few Fairyline males, a Moe-line and two Active Line Muscle Males. There are minor posing differences, mostly it's look and style of body.

A Line boys are a bit thicker, and stockier in a good way the muscle body has abs for days and I miss that body being an option.

The male Moe body is thinner the A-line and softer, it comes off to me as trying to look younger too, I have made mine a character that is 14, but honestly could see that body used for even younger characters.

The Motion Line or Motion body is the many default male MNF body these days and I love it, but it is not for everyone. (and as said I miss options for others) It's thin, yet fit like a gymnast or dancer build. I think it poses very well.

The Fairyline male is very close to the Motion line body, it is only slightly smaller/thinner and the legs come off so it's strong differently so it can change out legs/Mer-tails/horse-bodies. The ways it is made to interchange option parts is really the main difference between it and the Motion body. They are extremely close in looks when side by side, the locking mech in the legs of fairyline boys is another diff, but again that has to do with swapping options and stabilizing things for that to work.

I know I do not have photo refs here, but I hope my thoughts on them help you some. As I said I know a few people (on Flickr and maybe other now) have actually side by side refs out there that can be found linked in a few threads around here if you hunt for em.

    8. No Fairyland doll is a star pretzeler, but the boy Fairyline bodies are amazing. I have a special place of hatred in my heart reserved for the motion line boy legs and that stupid little piece that always catches the string when you sit/stand them. :XD: The Fairyline body has a totally different mechanism inside the legs than the motion, though. I don't full believe it's only due to the "swapping options" because the girl bodies are pretty much the same inside, it's just them who's different, but the locking mechanism is amazing and makes them so much easier to play with. I personally swap all my motion line boys with Fairyline bodies just so I don't have to deal with the motion line body - it's honestly one of the most frustrating bodies I've ever handled (and I've handled a lot). The locking mechanism makes them soooo much better. As for the older bodies, I like them enough, but I gave all mine up because they were too "slidey" even after wiring/suede. Pretty basic posers, but they look really nice.

    9. Totally agree with this! Many of my friends who own fairyland boy also said the same about the motion line body. I had try handle them once and not like the legs too. My boy stick to A-Line body until I can grab him a fairyline body last year via Akis release.

I also pretty much like A-line body more than the motion one... even he's not a great poser like fairyline body.

    11. @Tippetarius @Littlebirdzoom and @xxxsaturnxxx — thanks for your thoughts! I opened my Fairyline El last night and I reaaaalllly like the locking mechanism in the legs, a LOT. It feels so much more sturdy than a lot of my other dolls (and I like the noise haha). I was able to get him into some really interesting and dynamic poses too! The body definitely does everything I need it to ^.^

    12. Wait, the Fairyline bodies don't have the little catchy bit? I've been hybridding all of my motion line boys to avoid it. Granted, doing so has given me a nice variety of heights for my boys, which helps character wise, but I guess I just hadn't noticed that my Klaus and Akis didn't have the same issue! I love the aesthetics of Fairyland bodies, but the issues with the leg joint in the male motion line body makes me want to yeet it out a window sometimes.

On another note, my Akis seems to want to disconnect his bottom from his top pretty easily when I have him sit compared to my other Fairyline boy, am I just doing something wrong?

    13. No it totally doesn't have that devil piece of resin lol. The mechanism is completely different and you can sit/stand them without any fuss and they hold poses too. A locking mechanism and the rubber pieces are installed in the Fairyline boys and no one else for some reason xD Fairyland REALLY needs to sell these bodies separately :( I think we should all let them know we'd want it. They usually listen.

I've noticed that not all the Fairyline resin hooks are carved the same, so it might just be more shallow than the others. If you have a file you can fix it super quickly and easily by just making the hook part a little deeper. My Feeple60 Miwa had that issue really bad.

    14. Best news I've heard today. I've mostly replaced the bodies of my non Fairyline boys with other options that look nice, but I'll make sure to try and get Fairyline going forward for my next ones. It would be nice if the bodies were sold separately.

Thanks for the tip! I'll track down a file and try to make it a bit deeper. I adore my Akis, he just scared the heck out of me the first time I tried to get him to sit and his legs popped right off! I was visiting family when I picked him up too, so I didn't have any of my typical restringing tools either. My mom, bless her, gave me a dental hook to grab his elastic and pull it back down to the groove so I could get his bottom back on!

    19. Does anyone have recommendations for Minifee motion line boy clothes? When I search on Etsy, I can really only find female clothes. I just wanted some modern casual boy clothes, but it’s proven difficult!

    20. Hi everyone,

I have a quick question. Do recent event heads come with certificates? I know older ones don't.
