Your Ciel is very beautiful, that doll is on my short list of choices for a first resin BJD for me. This moves her much higher on the list now.

I have a question, since you said you were worried about Fairyland’s faceup, do they usually not do as good of a job as their product photos?

Sometimes Fairyland's eyebrows are a bit of a surprise, they sometimes end up being "sad looking" (which I personally don't like) or have some weird upward hooks at the end. I think some Feeple65 Angelas had those eyebrows. (You can check out PaeoniaDrop's unboxing here to see what I mean).

Plus sometimes Fairyland overdoes it with the colour layering. My Sirin for example had some heavy blue colours under her eyes and an overall darker faceup than on the promo pictures:

I ended up sending her to an artist to get a new faceup for her.
My latest dolls from them (Phoeb and Ciel) both had lovely faceups that looked like the promo pictures, so no complaints there. I suggest looking at owner pictures of already released sculpts to see if you really like the faceup.

got my very first minifee flam today! i'm a bit stumped on which size eyes to get her though. any recommendations?

 

Either 14mm or 16mm eyes should work! You'll see more of the whites with 14mm, while 16mm tend to give a more innocent look, so it depends on what kind of look you're going for.

 

@sinervium these are OLD pictures but here are my human and elf Flam girls with 14mm eyes in the first picture and 12mm eyes in the second picture. For me personally I felt like the 14mm ones made them look too “surprised.” The 12mm are more of my preference but there is a bit of a gap. The best fit would probably be 14mm eyes with a smaller iris size but I like my 12s enough not to order new ones.

I like to use 14mm in most of my MNFs, though a few of mine have 12mm eyes.

 

thank you for the photos! i am going for the more innocent but still mature look, if you catch my drift, but I have to say the 14mm ones look a bit silly, and surprised in a way I'm not really looking for lol. The 12mm looks nice though!!

 

You can always adjust the position of the eyes to look less "surprised" like this:

 

I need to stop falling in love with old event heads
first it was mnf sarang 2022 which i found but recently I fell in love with mnf juri 2020 and he's been so hard to track down i gave up but I'm back at it again. Does anyone here own a juri 2020, i feel like i don't see them often.

Congrats! He's on my wishlist too. I start looking back at older event heads and think "ooh I like this one, ooh I like that one..." and next thing you know I've got 5 more heads on my to-buy

 

I ordered Raven yesterday and DDE announced today they had extended the sale until the 6th. I get the feeling that she isn't as popular as they would have hoped.

I have a question about the Motion line boy body. The one I bought a few years ago does not have magnets in the back for wing attachment, or for a tail. Do the more recent ones have them? If not, do the Fairyline boys have them?
