ok so i tested and my motionline boy body does have the magnets in the back for wings. they're closer to the neck than in the center of the back. i didnt check the tail magnet tho.

 

Thank you! I tested my boy again but no magnets. I think he's one of the early bodies from that line. I guess I'll be ordering a new body after all.

 

you could always buy magnets and tape the, inside but that would require unstringing....

 

I had considered what you've suggested but his back is too thick for the magnets to work through. I had already planned to buy a new body for the character, I just need to make sure whichever one I get has back magnets for his wings. My new A-Line girls have them but my older Moe and Motion line boys do not.

 

the newer motion line bodies should have them! i got my bodies last year and they both have the magnets

 

What company is a good match for a Minifee normal skin head (slightly mellowed I guess)? I'm not too happy with the Minifee body somehow so I'm thinking of hybriding

It's a Sircca if that makes a difference

 

@Hikari-chanXx the old Dollzone NS pink used to be a reasonable match but they changed it a several years ago and I think it’s a lot paler now.
This is a Sircca head on a DZ older NS pink body. I got the head a few years ago too from the mp so it may well be a similar age to yours.

I have a wee question that has probably been asked before loads of times and sorry if it has, do the female hands and feet fit the male body at all? I really don’t need any more dolls but want one of the Ciel Therian heads and would prefer either a male body or one of smaller proportions. Just whatever suits and fits. As some of the female hands have longer fingernails I feel they’d look better and if heeled female feet fit (that’s a lot of ‘f’s) then I may try doing addition mods to make them look a bit less human.

Yes the female heads fit the male bodys and other way round. I have a few mixed like that. A female Klaus and a male vampire Ingrid and Alans on both male and female bodies.

The feet answer is a tricky sometimes, depending on a casting factors and time of parts made. I have motion line males that can wear/use the normal high heel feet from Aline females. I also have a male Moe in normal default flat feet from that small bit of time when they first started magnet feet on Aline boys and you could order just the male feet.
That said it's been reported that sometimes female feet do not work on the boys and there is gapping or they just wont go onto the pegs. So where as I have dolls that can, it's not a universal prefect fit. However I do want to point out that more often then not the feet and hands work for both gendered bodies. (Moe being smaller might have more issues) And also in bigger scale I have had ill fitting head backs come with face plates made for them by fairyland sometimes casting is off on part sizes.

 

@Tippetarius thank you for that. Although I’ve been collecting BJD off and on for over 16 years I’m still fairly new to Minifee so that’s wonderful and incredibly helpful!

Same here, last time I checked I think I had 14 (full dolls at least). I'll have to recount them to be sure.
