1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 68

Dec 18, 2019

    1. That’s me! I indeed put my Mnf Alicia on the Impldoll body, and she’s still on it too. Personally I love the proportions and it adds a nice bit of variety in my bodies.

Here’s a whole google album of my hybrid.

I sadly do not own any fairyland dolls in ebony, but I do have an Impldoll in dark tan. From pictures it might be a good match!

    2. Hello all - I am very unfamiliar with Fairyland. Now I am thinking of ordering a A la carte Serenia. Does Fairyland normally do Christmas Events? Maybe it would be worth the wait then. Thanks :)

    3. They usually have an event once a season. Though lately they’ve been a bit late with announcing their events. You can follow Kim Sunhwa on fb for early info.

Likely a winter event will be coming! :celebrate

    4. I don't know how to feel about Fairyland right now - I definitely want to buy more dolls from them, but with yet another Minifee elf head incoming for the winter event it feels like they're stagnating creatively. Idk I could be way wrong, it's just the feeling I get. It doesn't seem like it's been a smooth year for them : (

    5. I’ve have been second guessing buying from them lately due to all the mentions of poor quality resin or casting. :pout: Which is a real shame since I really do admire their dolls. But considering a Minifee costs about $100+ more than lots of beautiful MSD dolls by other companies without quality control issues, it’s hard to justify paying so much for shoddy work. It feels like a gamble on whether you will receive a great doll or a disappointment after waiting several months *_*

Though where did you see the sneak peek at the winter event? I tried looking but couldn’t find it. :sweat

    6. Cant wait for the Event. :D

      Fairyline Items Sounds interesting

    7. I feel the same way and we're not alone. I've been a Fairyland super fan all 12 years I've been here, but I think I'm finally moving on. Quality issues and some other things that rubbed me wrong and I think I would rather reconsider or consider more carefully.

I was very excited for Serenia's more "classic" Fairyland whimsy look and different elf shape ears, but then the new minifee head has the same elf ears as all the other recent ones yet again. I'm disappointed there's no fullset, but I know that's out of Fairyland's control. I can't imagine how difficult it is for doll companies right now with supply issues :/

The teaser at the bottom of their announcement post saying other fairyline items makes me curious? I wonder if they're going to finally listen to us and do a parts release lol! Like a mix and match. At this point there's only maybe two things I'd want, but I'd still be happy to buy them. Ultimately though I think they're a little creatively stagnant. I wonder why, though, they have always had such good and unique ideas. I hope they can figure out supply issues and maybe get their spark back.

    8. I wish they'd bring back the moe boy body, I'm forever sad I missed out on one :...(

    9. Oh my… Is it the whole line or just recent dolls where the resin is poorer quality?

    10. I’ve been mainly hearing about Minifees have thin resin on their heads and warped limbs. Not sure about their other sizes. It’s been this year and I think the previous, that I’ve hearrd of defective dolls frequently, unfortunately.

    11. If it helps any I recently received three Realpukis from them in three different resin colours (blue, tan and ns) ordered at the beginning of October the day before they temporarily suspended production on everything except minifee and fairyline. They were all absolutely fine.

That’s why they did the suspension I think, so that they didn’t end up overwhelmed and could pay more attention to quality control after all the complaints. Hopefully it will help.
