@Amet Thank you so much. Rin was my first Fairyland doll (Edit: excuse me said that twice now.) She started my love for bjd's.

OMG I can't wait to see your blue Serenia. Saw one in gray which also looks gorgeous.
I love her in any skin tone.

 

Same! I’ve seen other blue minifee’s and they always look so cool! We’re gonna have a tiny army when they all come in!

I have lots of doll "twins"/"clones"/same mold but not at all relateds in my dolls.
With just the doubles from fairlyland out of my dolls and mostly mnfs I have a lot of two or mores thanks to event heads. Starting with the twins I have an Ingrid and her twin brother that is the vampire event Ingrid (no good pix of them sadly)
I also own a few like 3 pouting Lami event heads two elves and one human all on bodies, I just gave the human one a face up so he is due photos soon.
I have two Erda MNFs (one male and one non-binary) and one Erda f60 boy I have photos of them, but not of them together on my flickr.
Than I have like 3 different Alans in mnf size two are male one is female, one of the boys has unicorn legs. I also have 4 Alans in f60 size. I should do a big photo with all 7 of my Alans at some point. Some of them are on the flickr some are not.
My only side my side of any of my FL Alans is one of my f60 event Alan's next to my MNF event Alan to show how different their face ups make them even though both FL faces ups, though wigs and eyes also make them look different.
We're nothing alike

Anyway it's totally normal to have two of the same doll and there are tons of ways to justify it, from twins to clones to shape shifters.

Edited to take out typos and add I have two f60 Sia dolls and a Sia mnf seahorse boy, so even more same molds from Fairyland then first recalled.

 

You guys are making me feel so much better and less weird! I have a mnf Erda and an F60 Erda but they look so different to me that I don’t even think of them as the same sculpt! I’ve got the same bodies for my Little Monica boys and my two fairyland boys but this is the first time ever having the exact same sculpt/body so I’m glad I’m not alone in wanting two of the same doll!

 

Oooh, that actually reminds me I should add getting a shot of Koray and Iris together to my to do list. Potentially with the other three sizes of Shiwoo I have. Bias what bias.

 

@Pen-Pen Oh, you are most certainly not weird for having twins! I have two Dinas and two Phoebs (though one is the vampire head).

With my bigger dolls I have like... 4 of one sculpture and twins of another too. You like what you like? Lol.

I think the reason I like her so much is she’s so similar to Phoeb and I love that sculpt!

I didn’t want to double post so here’s a quick photo of the new dress I’ve made the new girl coming in! This started out as a let’s see if I can make some pants, that turned into shorts, that ended up being set aside to make a dress. It’s not the best ever but I think it’s kind of cute!

I see people have started receiving their mnf valeries.. Does anyone have a comparison between that sculpt and phoeb? I know it’s based on phoeb but I can’t tell what’s different.

 

Well, I just went to look at the minifee a la cart to compare Valerie and Phoeb and found there are four more heads available: Ruth, Carl, Kyle, and Maya.

@Foxxi gajaada on Instagram took some very detailed comparison photos and videos when her Valeries arrived. It looks to me like basically Phoeb’s lower face with bigger eyes if that’s your thing. (I think they did list out some of the changes when they announced Valerie if you did through the news posts on CP FL but I can’t remember beyond the eye shape.)

Blue Serenia arrived and I spent the weekend working on giving her a faceup. This is Viola, a Serenia A. I don’t think she’s that much more heavy lidded than OE Serenia (not pictured bc she’s still blank), just slightly different in how her eyelids are shaped? She does have some really cute sculpted teeth in her mouth I didn’t notice until she was in hand though.



I will never be over how nice the blue skin is.

 

@Amet Hm.. I don't see any, just a video of them beside each other on a turn table. Maybe she took them down?

Aw that’s too bad, it was probably a story and not a reel so it disappeared. ETA Oh wait, I thought you were saying they were all gone. Idk, I figured two Valeries in two different colors next to a Phoeb is a pretty good comparison, but ymmv.

Oh my GOD she’s so gorgeous!! That blue color is so nice!! I’m absolutely in love! Her lips are the perfect color for her skin tone! I can’t wait to see more of her!

@Amet - I can’t blame you! You’ve really pushed me to want a blue minifee now! Maybe I’ll get lucky and be able to snag one during the spring event!
