1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland Multihead Discussion part 2

Jul 29, 2011

    1. You DO have to use the neck adapter piece... There's a F on the inside of the neck adapter piece (the hollowed out side) and that tells you which direction to put the neck piece on. The F goes in front, the direction of the body's chest. That will help her pose her head and keep it from falling off.

Edit: I do want to say the longer side is the front side, in case there isn't an F engraved into the piece anywhere. I mean, really, just put it on. If it doesn't seem to be working, try it the other way? The other thing is, you can drop the piece into the head (turn the head upside down, obviously) and see which direction it seems to fit in the groove best. :)

    2. Edit: oops didn't see Shlee's post :)

    3. Thanks a lot, Shlee! It's amazingly difficult to find this information...I really appreciate the response.

      Thanks to you too anthrogirl.:)

    4. I feel like a complete dummy...I still can't get the head on.:( It seems like the hook is too short...if that makes sense. If I put the neck adapter piece in place, the hook is too short to go through the adapter and the head. Does anyone know if there is a video or tutorial with pictures I can look at? My girl has been headless for almost a month now and I'm getting frustrated.

    5. hmm, I'm going to go find my Multihead for reference.

    6. You have to pull the s-hook up through both pieces. It's not going to break your doll. Find a length of ribbon or something like that, even a solid keyring, put the neck adapter on, then slide the head on, then lift the s-hook and stretch the elastic in the body taut and twist the s-hook so it fits in her head. It will keep her head on better and offer a bit of support for posing in the torso of the doll body.

    7. Ohhhh...it's confirmed...I am a dummy.:) I had no idea that I had to pull on the hook! I was afraid to do that...thought it might cause damage or break the elastic.

Thank you so much...I will give this a try!:)

    8. you also might want to double check that the neck piece you're using is the PKF neck piece instead of the Multihead neck piece (the MH one is a bit smaller)

      edit: oops did it again.

    9. I had no idea there was more than one size of adapter. I purchased the head and neck adapter here on DOA, but I don't know how to determine whether the adapter if for a Pukifee or a Multihead. Is there a way to tell the difference?

    10. The PKF adapter will be too long/large to fit in the multihead groove.

    11. I've managed to get the head on..thanks for the advise. New problem...I can't pose the head without the adapter slipping forward and pushing the head back.:( So frustrated.:(

    12. Are you sure it's on the right direction?

    13. Seem like it's on in the correct direction...with the "F" at the front. Tried it the other way too and it was definitely wrong. I really don't know what is wrong.:(

    14. The only other thing I'd offer to you is to hot glue suede the neck piece so that it kinda grips a little better. There's plenty of tutorials here on DoA for how to do that if you're not sure. That will help keep everything kind of where it needs to be. Also, just make sure you've twisted the s-hook so it's not falling through the head or neck piece or anything. :)

    15. maybe if you took a video or some pictures showing the problem that might help, it's sort of hard to picture/troubleshoot.

    16. Have not visited the forum. Greetings from Beneris. She had a new dress)

    17. I wish I could...but I can't seem to figure out how to post a picture here.:( Thanks for your offer of help, I really appreciate it.

    18. She's gorgeous...I love the blonde wig...it's perfect on her.:)

    19. Thanks, Shlee.:) I would like to avoid hot glue, if I possibly can. The hook in my doll's head is not shaped like an "S". It's more like a cup hook...shaped like a "C". Do you think that's right?
