1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland Pukifee discussion part 28

Mar 24, 2020

    1. I already had these, so didn't need any more. Yours look so cute in their borrowed clothes, especially Cupid. :love One can never really have enough Pukifees.

    2. So excited, my Ena and Vanilla have arrived. Still got to pay the ransom fee in order to collect them but they’re here! First time ordering directly from Fairyland as I normally go through dealers.

    3. Congratulations, @Blodeuwedd - can't wait to see your new arrivals!

I was tempted, but I decided against it, because I already ordered both RP and a PP... I decided to be sensible and finish dressing the dolls I have.

So here's a picture of my PKF family at the moment. I cheated and made a composite picture:

The boys all have headbacks that I bought on the MP, and Lati yellow bodies.
      - Nix - Spring 17 event faceplate (his headback is blue, because that's all I had)
      - Shiloh - Duck event faceplate
      - Rampion - RA event faceplate

      The girls are:
      - Shanti - Duck event faceplate on the only PKF body I was ever able to find second-hand
      - Mimosa (Mimi for short), who is of course an Ante, and my very first PKF
      - Moana, a tan Cony

A few of them could use a better face-up, but at least they all have shoes and wigs. My plan for this year was to get all my dolls wigs, shoes and clothing, and I'm actually almost there. (With 70+ dolls in total, that's quite a task, but it's a labour of love!)

    4. They are all very cute. I don't remember seeing those duck plates before. Were they made long ago?

    5. Thank you! If I remember correctly, the duck plates were from a summer event - it must have been somewhere around 2009-2011 or so? They were fairly new and easy to find on the MP when I was new to DoA but it's been years since I last saw one...

    6. I just purchased my Pukifee Mio and I feel like I'm reliving my younger self's dream. Would you recommend purchasing directly from Fairyland? I've only used DenverDoll as it felt easier to get to Ireland.

    7. Congratulations on Mio, I have one and I love the sculpt. I prefer Denver Doll myself because I’m in the US. Also when I order direct from companies in Korea my post office makes delivery difficult.

    8. Aww thank you! I thought it might’ve just been because I’m in Ireland and anytime I’ve bought anything from Asia, it’s been such a process to receive it- thought it was just an ‘us’ problem, it's so sad . So grateful for DenverDoll!

    9. I found the experience to be much the same as ordering through DDE with the exception of there being less temptations for add ons. Fairyland’s own website doesn’t really have a great selection of clothing, etc for their tinies so I just ordered the two dolls, plus extra hands and a sleeping plate for Vanilla. Shipping was not too different price wise. What was different however was the customs fee, it was about half of what I’d expected. I’d certainly order directly again if it’s just the doll I’m wanting.
My main reason for using dealers in the past, apart from selling additional items such as clothing, is that they (should) pre-check the stock when they get it and then ship to you hopefully catching any breakages, casting flaws or problems in the process. There’s always a risk something will happen during shipment from them but should that occur it’s easier to solve, hopefully, without a language barrier. However as my tastes changed I got braver and recently began ordering directly.

Oh I forgot to add I live in the Highlands of Scotland which actually gets lumped in with Ireland as far as certain courier companies are concerned. Even though where I am is quite clearly attached to the mainland and not even in a rural area, had they bothered their arse to look at a map, we still get treated as though they had to get NASA to send up a shuttle in order to deliver anything and charge us extra for the privilege too!

    10. :XD:
Hahahaha yeah that sounds about right! Thank you so much for the info, was really helpful! Like you say, following progression of the hobby, I will grow the courage to go direct (and maybe once I move too!)
      :XD:

    11. @spih - congrats on your dolls! I LOVE Cupid as a PKF - I have a Pukipuki Cupid, but now I think I need a PKF size, lol!

@Fairy Milliner - your doll family of PKF is fantastic! I love your ducks. I had forgotten they had the faceplate in this size! I have one in LTF size that someone would have to pry out of my cold dead hands, who finally has a body. The PKF duck face is just as cute as the LTF! Good luck dressing all your dolls! :kitty1 I am literally in the same exact boat - my army of naked dolls daily haunts me. :huh?:

@xPinkFeathersDollsx - congrats on your dollie purchase! :XD:

    13. Hi friends! I'm new around here and wanted to share my little mini-me, marley! We're both so excited to join the party! :)

    14. How adorable! Such a cute photo. Yes, welcome indeed!:)

    15. Thank you so much!! Just a quick pic since I haven't had a chance to get a proper photo shoot yet! :D

Aw thank you!! She's just like me, likes the vintage style (:

Thank you both for being so welcoming!! ♡

    16. Welcome!! She's very cute. :love

    17. She is very cute. I love her outfit and the photo.

    18. Me too! Marley is such a wee cutie <3

    19. @eclectic.doll oh my goodness, such a cutie! You know until I never really liked that sculpt until I saw this photo. What you've done has changed my mind completely!

@NineOneThree once again thank you soooo much for suggesting Ena as a replacement for my LTF Rendia. They're so alike sculpt wise, absolutely perfect. Haven't started on her yet as I have other dolls that need their faces finished but I will eventually get around to doing hers quite soon, she's kind of jumped the queue a bit. Meantime here's a photo I took yesterday of the two of them so you can see how similar they are.
