Oh that's a fancy Hallowe'en outfit @pepperonipizza ! You have skills. My tan Toki is home and I think I have her colour palette picked out but still not sure what the end result will be. Toki's costume fitting on Flickr I love the green eyes she came with.
@nancy_schroeder_ca and @InkNLionsTeeth = thank you! @Aether Coffee thank you! Congrats on your tan Toki! I can't wait to see what you make for her! And here's Turnip's second outfit. The pants and shirt are the same pattern as his Halloween outfit - I just added the ruff and hat because, why not? I had a wee but of trouble with the ruff at first, and had to take out what I had done and started over. It's been many years since I made a ruff. But I love it. He's just so much fun to sew for. I can't wait to make him another outfit! 20240526_204702 by PepperoniPizza 13BlackCats, on Flickr
@pepperonipizza Great outfits and great job sewing! ACK! I forgot: those 3 Realpuki patterns (dress, pants, sweater) are also in DoA's Workshop: Patterns: Knitting! Concerning free patterns: when I first started with BJDs, VERY generous people posted free clothing patterns on DoA and I was so grateful. Now I post free knitting patterns to give back and I'm having a lot of fun doing it! Here's a pic from my knit pants trials:
Wow….such darling outfits @pepperonipizza Adorable knits @Answer42 . How kind of you to share your patterns!
@pepperonipizza You've done a great job, both outfits are really cute and quite different from what we usually see on the RP's. @Answer42 OMG they look so cute all lined up there. I bet you had fun trying to get them all to stand.
Oh I love Turnip, @pepperonipizza , what an adorable pierro in that outfitt! @Answer42 you're making knitting look tempting I have to say.
@pepperonipizza I love, love, love your sewing for these little ones. These two outfits are pure adorableness!
@Xanadu Dolls Yes, trying to get Realpukis to pose together is like herding cats! Without their magnetic feet and a big metal plate under the paper they're standing on, we'd be looking at a pile of prone Pukis!
@Answer42 @Jonlyn @Xanadu Dolls @PoeticSoul - thank you everyone! Now I have to figure out what to sew for Turnip next! Of course, he does have a friend in the mail..... My NS Obi should be here early next week! I'm really excited to see him in person since I ended up falling in fall with the sculpt thanks to all of you Obi owners who shared pics!
Great job, @pepperonipizza - I'll go look for those patterns. I already have small needles, as I used to knit for my dollhouse dolls - but that was a long time ago, before reading glasses... I'll have to see how it goes now. My blue-grey Obi should be in the mail as well. I'm so excited to finally have him home. I never liked Obi when he was available, and then by the time you all made me change my mind about him I could not longer find one. I'm also excited about the colour. I don't have these little guys in fantasy colours yet, and I love the grey.
If it helps, I have a VERY simple Realpuki felt vest in DoA's Workshop: Patterns: Sewing. It's a one-page PDF with 5 different styles to choose from. It took 8 tries to get the fit right!
Thank you so much for sharing. I have downloaded the pattern but whether I make it is anyone’s guess. Sewing is not my forte but my little Soso, Bee, needs something to wear!
@pepperonipizza @Fairy Milliner So pleased you are bringing an Obi home, he's such a sweetheart and I look forward to seeing pictures soon. @Answer42 Thanks for the waistcoat pattern, it will come in handy when my guys need a change of clothes.
My Obi is home. He doesn't have a name yet, and no wig or shoes - but he did find an outfit. And then there were five... I told myself "no more". And then I told myself "well, maybe one more..."
@Fairy Milliner - OMG how cute is your lineup! I now have to have an Obi in the blue grey skin. I totally did the same thing. I got my NS Obi. And then I ended up with a WS Soso on layaway. Add them to my NS Soso at home and my WS Toki that has FINALLY shipped from DDE and that gives me 4!!! They are addicting. And so much fun to sew for.
I was in Michael’s today and they have undecorated miniature rooms you can put together now! I’m not 100% sure because I don’t have her yet, but I think they’re going to be the perfect size for a realpuki.
Oh Obi is really cute in blue! I had time to get photos of my tan Toki in her kelp sprite costume. Meet Kelpy! I used scrap wool and the gold edging to give her a seaweed looking wig/hat combo.
