Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 21

May 17, 2023

    1. Key word here @Klaw is ‘tiny’, always room for another tiny especially when they’re this stinking cute!

What a delightful little group @JinCIncy, the grey resin looks to be much nicer than I thought.

Got my email, my trio of trouble are on their way!

    2. Blimey that was fast! Fairyland sent the email last Thursday to say the order was complete and my dolls had been shipped and I got them this morning!

Oh my goodness, why did no one warn me of the perils regarding laying eyes on and picking up my first Realpuki?!
I just stood there, a middle aged woman, grinning like an idiot and making little squeaking noises as I held this tiny blue buck-toothed resin being in my hand. I was equally delighted with the other two as well. They’re just so utterly adorable I’m totally smitten. :love

    3. I finally got around to crocheting McFly tiny booties to keep his tiny toesies warm ans cozy. And now he keeps admiring himself in a mirror:

    4. Oh my goodness @spih , those are SO cute! I can see why he keeps admiring them!

    5. Those boots are wonderful as is the rest of his wee outfit. Is it hard to crochet things that tiny? I have zero skills but keep meaning to give it a go.

    6. It's not too hard, but then I have a lot of experience. Those boots are made of number 20 crochet cotton with a 1.0 mm hook. Generally crocheting small things from tightly would cotton is easier than from soft woolen or synthetic yarn. i've seen some people crocheting tiny amigurumi from sewing thread, but to do that you have to have very good eyesight and nimble fingers.

    7. Thank you so much @spih, it gives me somewhere to start. Nimble fingers I have, good eyesight…..well at my age that depends on spectacles but being very artistic I do have an eye for fine detail. I think these wee darlings are going to be the kick up the butt I’ve been needing to stop talking about learning and actually learn!

@Blodeuwedd i know the feeling…and I still do a happy dance with each arrival!
@spih , your McFly is just darling in his awesome outfit!

Here’s hoping 2026 brings at least one new sculpt.

    10. I can hand on heart honestly say @Jonlyn that in all my years in this hobby these Realpuki have brought me the biggest feeling of joy when I unboxed them….why did I resist them for so long?! I’m going to have so much fun with them.

It would be nice to see more sculpts released or even new ones but I’m not going to hold my breath. I’d like to see Obi released in Realfee size too as I do love that size.

    12. Oh my! That mushroom cap - and the shoes! So very adorable!!!

    13. My Soso finally arrived! I'm not the best at hair-cutting, but the wig was just so long I had to take scissors to it.

    14. I think the bright color of that wig compliments its perhaps imperfect cut, making for a wonderfully character-driven look that’s full of impish attitude…so perfect for a Realpuki! Well done, I say!:thumbup

    15. I finally had a chance to take a picture of all my Realpukis. They are posing in the snow we got yesterday on East coast.[IMG]

    16. What an amazing collection you have! Each one of them is utterly adorable and dressed perfectly for the weather. Together they’re positively epic!:D

    17. Thank you so much for your kind words, PoeticSoul!
I'm glad that Fairyland is releasing old sculpts again. All of them are adorable. Now we're waiting for Aki to join us. Hopefully Fairyland starts shipping them soon :3nodding:
