Family opinions on bjds

I don't know if there is a thread like this anywhere, but i have been wondering...
Has your family ever gave you a lecture for owning a doll? or multiple of dolls? any opnions of theirs that offended you? Made you feel like you're doing the wrong thing? What's the your story?


I have been given lectures for over 11 months on my first doll, my second doll is bought and im getting more lectures. My floating head is bought and im given a small lecture surely ill be buying another and i was given a big lecture of how much dolls ill be owning how unhealthy and wasteful they are. A sentence that my mother keeps telling me that surely gets me offended is this line. "You are spending way too much money on something that is useless. You don't need this, it's too expensive and you better save money for what you really need" thing is, my brother collects guns..and they are super expensive not to mention dangerous but she says nothing to him at all. Which gets me all offended at the thought that my harmless hobby is working my mother out.

Makes me feel like im not doing the right thing and it bothers me, but that doesnt stop me from what i do. Bjd is healthy for me in many ways it got me to open my self to new skils such as crafts, sewing, knitting, it's amzing and not to mention kept my sanity as when i left for uk for 6 months (4 months in now) without my doll i would have gone crazy since im all alone here...
