Fantasy Doll tiny dolls discussion part 1

Well, they gave mecthe tracking number but USPS's tracking website is not working now for some reason. But I do have some good news! Liam will be sent out to recieve a proper faceup on the 26th along with Cora. They'll be so pretty and they will be one step closer to being completed.

 

I seem to have gotten one of the numbers that do not update, assuming she was sent out in the same shipment as the otherone she is probably in town or in Toledo now. Weather is nice and sunny today so I am going to try and get some pictures.

Edit: Or not. Looks like she just finally got to New York today. If she doesn't get here by the convention I will most likely not order directly from a company again for a while. Guess I will go work on some clothes for her. It ended up being too rainy here for pictures sadly.

I discovered the rare Yuumasaurous today, it's super friendly.

 

I just want her here by this tuesday as my Grammie is having surgery then and Kairi would cheer us both up. The eye and wig combo I got her works great though (I was bored on Thursday so I dressed up Liam in her stuff to see how it would look). I love the artistique eyes I got her, even if they are a wee bit too small and I will be getting her a brown pair for her odd eye soon, I just bought them a second ago, it will either be artistiques LD-09 or LDB-09 which are their light brown or their hazel brown. After buying those eyes She will be pretty much complete when I get her. I just need to finish up on the little shirts to go under her dresses and I need to grab some gloves at the dollar store tomorrow to turn into leggings. I've gotten really impatient waiting for her with no real update though, I am happy she is so close.

Everyone: I'm looking to do a mod and decided a Fantasy Doll tiny would be PERFECT for the job! The only problem is, there aren't a lot of photos of dolls other than Amber and Glen. I have an Amber (named Pepper), so those were helpful then, but now I'm looking at Rafe, Rowan and Kemi and I can't find very many pictures of them anywhere!

Anyone have pictures of them, especially Rafe?

 

I would love to see a Rafe too, as he was my second choice!

Oh, gee, it's snowing today -I guess it's appropriate for the last day of winter...

My real shipping number seems to be one of the ones that doesn't update. I will be calling the post office in town tomorrow to see whats up.

Edit: apparently it took her five days just to reach the country and now customs has her. This is the last time I get something shipped using EMS.

 

Snow: Customs is always hard to pass through. How long have you been waiting on the doll?

 

A week today. Looks like they were just being lazybthough as shenis now in the next town over. I'm just abit stressed now as my Grammie is having major surgery today and the convention planning is not helping either.

 

It's okay, Snow, some dolls can take MONTHS to clear customs - a week is plenty enough to wait though, I'm sure.

I hate to tell you this snow, but every doll you order unless you order instock from a dealer or through the MP is shipped EMS.

 

I know. I think I may hav eover reacted a bit, mainly because it is my first doll I have ever ordered direct from customs (don't think my anxiety issues helped matters either). And JessiFlakes, the surgery is for her multiple hernias. Last time they tried to fix them it didn't take.

 

My boy was an impulse buy. If MoC hadn't had him instock and on sale he wouldn't have come home.

 

I hope her surgery helps this time! I'm sure she'll be fine. C: ♥ Surgeons are pretty good these days. My grandfather went though enough of them for me to know. xwx;;

It's okay. Whenever I get to order direct from a company, I'll probably do the same thing. xD IT sounds like you've got a lot going on, so I think you're entitled to overreact a little.

I ordered a ns pamela on the girl body. I have a ns Glenn and she is his older twin sister. Up until I got her all of my dolls were pretty much impulse buys. Cora had a name before hand but I didn't exactly plan on getting her yet but she was in stock at Denver Dolls. With Liam I had wanted a tiny for a long time and I decided on him when I saw him instock at MOC. My next two dolls I will likely order through dealers to save on shipping.

She actually might get here today as she got here before they sent out the mail. I hate the way my University runs the mail system. Just incase she gets here I have Liam, Cora and all of Kairi's stuff packed in my makeshift doll bag with my camera. She probably won't get her until tomorrow though.

 

Pamela is so cute! ^_^ I have a NS Amber, named Pepper, who was an impulse buy off the Marketplace here. I absolutely love her. ^_^ Pamela and Glen would make really cute twins! C:

I hope she makes it soon. I don't imagine the waiting is any fun when you KNOW she's so close!

 

JessiFlakes -My first choice is Glen. I have one in WS and he is way more adorable than I thought he would be! I also like the smaller size compared to my 5Star yosd. I (mistakenly) thought all yosd sized dolls had similar sized bodies. I'm discovering 'yosd' is relative to each company! I'm thinking of just going with FD for my yo's and selling the other brand. Next up would be a Pamela or Amber as I don't have any girls.

 

​Kurogane: All sizes are relative terms. They tend to cover a range of size, not just one. C: I have an Amber, she's very cute. ^_^ I want my next YO to be a Rafe, I think. I plan to do a steampunk mod on him, but I want to see more pictures of his face. They seem to be quite rare. xwx;

 

I have a question about the molds Amber, Glen, and Pamela. Aren't they all the same face sculpt? It's been puzzling me for a while because while I can understand having an Amber and a Glen for the different genders, Pamela is just a big ???. I've stared at her sculpt a lot to see any difference, and it looks the same!

I love Amber/Glen/Pamela the most, but I've also taken a shine to Rowan too. I think that might be a nice face for my 'Silver' character one day =D . But I'm reeeeally set on my next doll being a boy and a tan doll (CC's adopted brother), so I'm crossing my fingers FDoll comes out with more sculpts; other than those two, I don't really like the other sculpts right now ^^' .

I went to Joann's and bought a bunch of stuff for sewing CC new clothes, and I finally finished a little dress for her! Those wigs also came in and I managed to make a passable split wig. Far from perfect though, so my next attempt will have to be more careful XD .



I based the dress loosely off a BtSSB dress, here, though they don't look the same at all XD . And next up is the blouse!

Oh, and since shoes are kind of a pain point for these fellas, here's a little something:



A-S is the only brand I've found so far with 'fitting' shoes, so I'm going to try making my own sandals for her someday. Most other brands' shoes seem to have 4.5cm inner length -sigh- .
