1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fantasy Doll tiny dolls discussion part 1

Sep 12, 2007

    1. Taima Oh hi there. I'd be more then happy to answer any question's you have. Umm, I have no clue why the new bodies aren't on the Fdoll site, but if you're getting a BJD for your friend that's never had a BJD before i'd defiantly get the new body. The old bodies don't have S-hooks, but I've heard the new ones do. I've never actually seen a new body in person, but I've heard from people that have gotten them that they're a lot better then the old bodies. Also the old bodies are kind of hard to pose, I had to suede my boy before I could really get him to pose right. Now i'm not trying to scare you off of getting one, they are incredible cute, I'm just telling you my experiences with my boy. Even with his faults I'd never sell my boy. Oh one other thing is clothes. It's really hard to find BJD clothes for these guys. My boy mostly wears Ken doll clothes. In the below picture he's wearing a Narsha hoodie from dollmore, and you can see it's a tad baggy on him and the sleeves are too long, but I'm thinking short sleeved items from that section should fit fine.

    2. I see, thank you for your answere!
The thing is, as I live in Sweden, buying from Mint on Card would most probably mean lots of custom fees... I'd like to get the new body, as I know, I myself am a pose-nerd and like good posing dolls... :/ So it would be nice if I could buy directly from the company and still get it... I guess I might still run into custom fees, but I can't find any other places to buy f-dolls from. >.<
(Btw, I saw your boy on Deviantart when searching for some owner pics! He really is adoreable!)

    3. Taima: Of course always happy to help. :) Umm, I'd try e-mailing Fdoll and seeing what's up with the new bodies. I know there are people out there that have gotten the new body, I'm just not sure if they bought from MoC or Fdoll directly. My boy's over a year old so he has the old body as that was the only option when I got him. and haha yup I post pretty regularly on DA with all my dolls lol.

    4. I see... :/ I should ask them then!

    5. I'm been hurting for a little bright eyed and happy yo that poses well, and Amber fits the bill pretty nicely. She reminds me of my first doll, whom I miss but sold because of how difficult she was to find clothing for and how badly she posed. I also happen to be a terrible tight-wad in this pricey hobby, so Amber's $100 price-tag makes her all the more enticing.

Equine, if you don't mind me asking, since you've had your boy a while, has he held up well? What kind of clothing have you been getting him?

    6. Ellanie: No I don't mind at all, umm he was really loose when I first got him, but once I tightened him and hot glue sueded him he poses great. Let's see in the past 15 months of owning him he's been restrung 4 times and sueded twice. I redid his sueded right around his birthday cause he was getting floppy again. As for clothes, that's the hard part, ken clothes fit and short sleeved things from the Narsha clothes section on dollmore fit. That's all I've found so far that fit them, oh and those cell phone jackets from claires work great.

    7. That reminds me that I really badly need some new elastic for my AE girl. :sweat

      Thanks Equine!

    8. No problem :) happy to help.

    9. My goodness. It's taken my forever, but I finaly took some pictures of the new body Fdoll girl.
Here's my Amber with the new body and my Charlotte with the old body. I purchased both from MoC, not directly from FDoll.

Forgive the nudity, just wanted to show the differences between the two, the new body is so lovely and much more posable.
Nearly everything has been adjusted <3 <3

    10. Hey everyone, I asked Fantasydoll about the new body some days ago and they say ALL bodies are changed to the duble jointed ones. They just have not switched the photos on F-doll's site yet. c:
(Wich means I won't have to buy from MoC who doesn't accept paypal, wuut!)

    11. PetiteChair: what's with the little balls on all the joints of the new body? that's kind of weird.

(sorry it's so big, photobucket is glitching right now)

    13. Hello!

I'm new in BJD... Can I ask your opinions if fdoll glen would be okey to be my first doll... I'm really clueless about tightening him up or the thing called suede... would it be fine if I get fdoll glen even without those knowledge? or should I get another brand? please guide me! I think I really love to have glen as my first doll :(

    14. equine-aurora :Those are little half pearls I'v attached to her. Sorry if they are distracting!

hiesna: I think a Glen would be very sweet as your first doll.
My first doll was a FDoll Charlotte and even with her now 'old' style body, she is a joy.
Then new bodies pose very easily, so I don't think you'd really need to worry about restringing him, or sueding him. <3

    15. @PetiteChair thanks! oh I also check fdoll site and they have new face-up for glen! and he looks so sweet! yay! wanted him more! :)) and also the default face-up is free! so cool! :D

    16. PetiteChair ; oh ok, that makes sense. lol .

    17. Hello once again!

I wanted to ask if what is the wig size that will fit fdoll glen? 5-6 or 6-7? his head circumference is 15cm so it will be approx. 5.91 :(

      Hoping for your replies!
      Thanks!

    18. they wear 5-6.

    20. Thinking of getting one of these little guys...okay, well girls as an upcoming doll. Have to admit Asenva's Umi had a lot to do with it ;)

Keeping my fingers crossed for this, but I was wondering if anyone had an Ono and a Charlotte? Since both their pics on MoC have faceups it's a little hard to see the definite differences. Leaning towards Charlotte but Ono's so darn cute too. Decisions, decisions, lol.

      equine-aurora:
Your boy is adorable. It's been cool to see how he's changed, even just through the few pages of the thread.
