Fantasy Doll tiny dolls discussion part 1

I ordered a Glen doll at the end of October, but the status of my order has not been changed to 'shipped' yet. I'm just wondering if that is normal, and I will know that he has been shipped when he arrives at my door, or if it's just taking longer than the time period of 20-25 days that they give to actually get him shipped.

I can't wait for his arrival and it seems to be getting harder every day, so if anybody knows what I can expect, that information would be much appreciated!

 

My boy was in stock so I have no clue what the normal waiting period is for FD.

 

I bought my girl second hand (well, third hand, really, lol) so I have NO idea what the wait times from the company are like. Sorry...

 

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Yuuma's 2nd birthday was Monday, here's some spam of the birthday boy.

 

He arrived! And he is absolutely sweet, but my terrible little point and shoot hasn't let me get a decent picture, so I'm just waiting until I can use my mother's (much better) camera before I upload a picture.

 

Congratulations Clue117, and do post some pics! I want to be reassured that I'm not getting scammed or something XD . Eheh... I feel like all I've been reading or hearing about in the BJD circles lately is scams, scandals, quality issues, or bad customer service. It's just depressing me and agitating my paranoia buttons ^^' .

I have been spending a lot of time recently researching up on all the doll companies, to update my mental databanks after a long break from DoA XD . And wow, I've been finding some doll companies with amazing prices to go with some fabulous dolls and options!

Specifically, when I looked at Fdolls through MoC, I had something of the opposite of sticker shock XD . It seemed way too good to be true, to find a doll with a great looking body, some adorable faces just my type, so many cool skin options, and with one of the lowest prices I've ever seen on a BJD. So I looked up all I could on DoA (what little there is -sigh- ), it all seemed legit, aaand now I've finally ordered my second doll!

She'll be a pale normal skinned Amber. I had a clear concept in mind before looking for a doll to fit, but it'll be a bit tricky to pull off ^^' . I want her to be themed after cotton candy, one of my favorite fair foods as a kid, so the key element I need is a blue and pink split wig!!

almyki: the reason they have such low prices is they're a fairly new company so they're still trying to get their name out there and they had issue with the posing on their old body so they're keeping the price cheap even with the new bodies to try and get people to come back.

 

Sorry to double post but it has been two days. I downsized Yuuma's eyes today. he looks so much better in 12s, might even go down one more size some day.

 

Hi all. My Pamela is shipping here to arrive Monday. Yay! I just fell for her hard and she was in stock. I love MoC. She is white skinned and will be a companion for Syrio my Impldoll Cyril. Syr has been pestering me for a friend his own size for a few months. I will post photos next week. Your fdolls are all stunning. I can't wait!

 

I just ordered a Glen in white skin today from the company, so I have a bit of a wait ahead of me, but I'm glad to have found this thread! It's been very helpful, so thank you everyone!

I do have a specific character planned for my Glen: a mischievous joker named Rio. I will have to make his outfit myself, but that is the most fun part!

Thanks equine-aurora for the warm welcome! I was re-reading one of my favorite manga books MAR, and came across a cute joker character and thought I have to do a doll of him! I went looking for a suitable sculpt and Fdoll Glen was the best fit by far. I could have gotten a natural skin one sooner, but wanted white so I'll have to wait. I hate waiting! I want to start sewing his outfit now!

 

hi everyone , im new to this thread!
i recieved my order from fanatsy doll at the end of jan and they were wonderful to buy from! i have a rafe on a female body in normal skin. wow she poses like dream and looks so cute. i did get the free make up but when she arrived i tried to add to the make up but that didnt work very well so ive wipped off her make up and re-done the face up. i adore her! they are a company i will be returning back to!

its not the best photo as she is borrowing my other girls wig and clothes which were a bit too big for her but i have a new blonde wig for her which arrived today and a new set of colthes and shoes which i will post a photo of soon! as they only arrived today

Congratulations ragdollkitty on your beautiful girl! I'm still waiting on my Glen but I expect him to be delayed a little due to the Chinese New Year's break. I have his wig and outfit all ready for him. I do hope they fit, lol! I can't wait to post pics here!
