1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fantasy Doll tiny dolls discussion part 1

Sep 12, 2007

    1. No problem. There will be more pictures up soon now that he has more boyish clothes. The girl clothes I got were a bit big but it's an easy enough fix, I just have to add another snap over a bit from the first one. I think I might buy a girl Rafe and a boy Ono this summer or fall, after I buy a DearMine Irene.

      Edit:
I was playing around with Liam a bit while studying for my physics class, just messing around with his posing. I was wondering if I could get him to stand on one foot, though I was not sure if I could because of how kicky he is. He could! I was able to get him to balance on one foot. The pictures I got were terrible because I'm using an older Kodak point-and-shoot and indoor lighting is awefull but I was able to get some pictures. I will post them tomorrow, as well as a little photo shoot with him getting his clothes and finding out his twin sister, whose name has been tweeked to be Kairi so I get the pronunciation I want, is coming home. I'm on business day three, normal day five, of my wait.

    2. hi everyone

    3. Thank you. Ugh, I seem to have caught the cold that is going around campus so I've been too tired to work on doll stuff very much. Even so, these two are getting spoiled. Liam has three complete outfits right now with plans for some extra peices and Kairi has two complete outfits with plans on finisjing up two more. The wicked Stitchery clothing fit pretty good, I will just make some shirts to go under the dresses so they fit better.

    4. Today I got my tracking number! Rio is on his way home!!!!!!!!!:)

    5. Yay! Congrats!

    6. Yay! I can't wait to see him. I have a while left, only just finished business day 9 of my wait.

    7. I'm thinking he will arrive next week, maybe on Leap Day? That would be cool!

    8. Wow. It's nice to see this thread more active than when I last checked it out!

My Amber doll also just shipped, and the anticipation has slowly built up so now I'm really antsy for her to come XD . I bought her a cute white Fairyland wig, eyes, shoes, even socks and new elastic; I heard that the elastic they come with was bad, or at least it was once, so I decided better safe than sorry =P . I'm mostly afraid that this stuff won't end up fitting her though. I think I got the right sizes, but I screw up details like this like crazy.

Unfortunately, I don't have actual clothes yet for my Amber, which does at least have a name, CC. I'm no seamstress, and yet I know I won't likely find what I want for her in the market, so I guess I'll have to wing it with some old clothes and thread once I get her!

    9. almyki: Go check out like Wal-mart or something similar and hit up the barbie aisle, Ken clothes work fantsticly And I know right? I remember when it used to be like just me posting from time to time trying to get people to post. And I have no clue why this is bold, DoA won't let me unbold it for some strange reason

    10. I wish I could help Almyki, but I like my little ones to have baggier clothes. I have found, however that Wicked Stitcheries dresses fit better with tbe addition of a small shirt underneath knit or chrochet with size 10 thread.

    11. Congrats on shipping notices! I can't wait to have my new camera, hopefully next weekend, so I can take my girl out for some photos again! Which I am suddenly wanting to do far more than I was before. She FINALLY told me her name! She's Andromeda, Andi for short. So now that I know her name, I want to spend some time playing with her.

    12. Yay. Things are moving along here XD . And there now people to ask questions about! Liiike...

So, where do you guys buy your shoes for these babies? I mean, I read their feet are 3.5cm, which seems tiny? Whenever I look for shoes online, almost all of them seem to be 4.5cm (inside) or roundabouts. I went ahead and bought a pair of Angell-Studio shoes, which are 3.9 on the inside, which I'm hoping will fit well.

Aaand how I said before that I probably wouldn't find any clothes on the market that I would buy for CC? That was a lie. A big one. I am greedily eyeing some super-cute Angell-Studio outfits and a couple Amber Academy clothes, and I have no idea if they would fit CC or not. The only sizing the pages give is that it's for 1/6-size dolls. I remember reading that Fdoll's tinies had a slightly unusual size, being on the slimmer side or something? I'm wondering if I should take a chance with one or two outfits and see if they fit, or if there's a way to check before buying @_@ .

      Any help?

    13. I'd recommend comparing the measurements of the tinies from those companies to that of the fantasy doll tinies. They are a bit skinier than most tinies, I think the waist is 10 cm instead of the usual 12 cm for instance. I hope you have good luck in your search for clothes :)

    14. I'm about halfway through my wait and was just wondering if anybody know of a place besides fairyland and leekeworld that I can find wigs to fit these little guys. A fur wig will work for the first few weeks, but I want to find them each their own wigs.

    15. Snow072291: If you like them, Liv wigs fit these kids wonderfully. My girl wears one. It wasn't what I planned for her, but I put it on her meaning for it to be a temp wig, and she decided it was hers, and she didn't want anything else.

    16. My Glen arrived today! Wow, he is so small compared to my 5Star yosd! The shoes I got based on yosd size are way too big, darn! I love those shoes, oh well. The Dollheart outfit fits, but I'll have to take in the waist quite a bit. He (Rio) is way cuter than the company pics and I love his default face up. They even sent me a pair of yellow glass eyes, just the color I wanted!

Only question is about his stringing. He won't straighten out his legs or arms. Do I need to tighten his elastics or loosen them? I'll have to remove his head and experiment. Other than that, excellent!

    17. Congrats Kurogane :) Judging by how kicky my little guy is, he might need loosened. Does he just want to curl up in the fetal position? I think they might also need thicker elastic, but I'm not sure.

Also, thanks Ayas. I might end up buying one of the dolls and trying the eyes in her too. Little one is being a pain in the rear and I won't be able to afford her real eyes till at least Easter as she has informed me that she is hetero-chromatic. Now just to find one of the dolls with looser clothes and less mature hair.

    18. Thanks for the tip snow072291. He does want to curl up. Sitting he's fine, but trying to stand, a struggle! Love him though! I also really like the smaller size!

    19. Kurogane: He'll also loosen up the more you play with him. It's not umcommon for dolls to be to tight fresh from the box. it is also partly his strings, Fdoll uses really thin strings, I've been meaning to upgrade Yuuma for over a year now to thicker strings to see if it helps his posing, he's also on the old body which is part of the problem.

    20. I had to replace the elastic in mine. I tried loosening, then tightening but replacing was the only solution. Congrats on your new cuties! I looooovvvveee my Brooke and I bring her to work with me nearly every day.
