Favorite Doll Company and Why

May 5, 2012

    1. My favorite doll company is Fairyland, that's the majority of my dolls. I like Fairyland for their sculpts and the poseability of their dolls and for the quality of resin. Did I mention that I like Fairyland?

    2. Well, I'll say it's Dreaming Doll, but Resinsoul deserves an honorable mention.

Dreaming Doll has fabulous communication, a quick turnaround time, face-ups from Estebebe, and molds that really appeal to me. They give free wigs, chocolate, really high quality glass eyes, eye putty, a journal, and an ID card with their dolls, maybe something else I am forgetting. My girl from them, is honestly one of the best posing dolls I've ever owned. But really, the biggest reason I intend to keep coming back to them is they gave me their first MSD boy as a gift. If that doesn't win you a customer for life I don't know what will.

I'm also mentioning RS because they've really nice communication, many resin colors, are affordable, sand their seams, and really listen to their customers.

    3. Iplehouse, it is difficult to explain. Love at first sight, I think. :)

    4. Probably Dollmore for their ample choice, but SOOM iMda for their aesthetics...

    5. At the moment I am loving the Dollstown sculpts. I have just sent a DT Amy for her faceup and want to buy pretty much all of the DT girls. I'm also still very fond of D.I.M. Thats where my first doll was from and I have one more full doll and two more heads on the way from them :)

    6. My favorite doll company is dollshe craft. They have they best looking male sculpts(well at least that's what I believe). Soom is probably my second favorite with good looking mature looking males. Switch, luts, migidoll and Crobidoll have more adorable looking boys. Bluefairy has they best looking kid sculpts. Fairyland and iplehouse have the pretties girl sculpts.

    7. Couldn't have said it better myself. <3 iplehouse

    8. My first doll was Dream of Doll but I just ordered Iplehouse and am about to order from Doll Chateau. Overall I would say Doll Chateau is the company that has the largest number of sculpts that I want. Which could be considered the criterion for "favorite".

    9. I love Doll Chateau for their unique kid dolls and bigger (the smaller are a little creepy lol), Dreamhigh Studio for their unique fairy like dolls, and I love Fairyland’s Realpuki dolls!

    10. Hrm... I have a few!

Crobidoll, for their amazing service and lightning-speed shipping,

Volks for their communication and culture,

      Fairyland for my favorite sculpts.

    11. I'm a fairyland addict! I have two MiniFee's (Chloe and Nanuri), one LittleFee (Luna Rose fullset), and two PukiPuki's (Pipi and Polar Bear).
Anytime I have ever owned a BJD that was not from Fairyland I have been disappointed. I do own one Lati Yellow and I love her but I don't pose her much as it does get on my nerves.

    12. I have more than one favorite: Lumedoll and Dollzone.

I really like Lumedoll because of the excellent customer service and the beautiful sculpts. As for DZ, I have five of their yosd's -which are about 90% of my collection.

    13. I am a huge fan of Soul doll. But lately, a friend introduced me to Iple House and I completely fell in love...

    14. Dream of Doll is the best to me. They have a great look to them. Its a hybrid of anime and realistic human. Short and sweet.

    15. I'm starting to really dig some French manufacturers that I've seen recently, Lillycat Cerisedoll and Dark Tales Dolls. To me they have a flavor of old school BJD that harks back to Hans Bellmer....not that Iplehouse dolls don't make me throw my wallet at the screen......

    16. I'm between Immortality of Soul and Spirit Doll.

I felt in love right away with Spirit Doll's sculpts since the very first time I looked into their store and there was nothing I could do about it. The details are so well made, it poses so beautifully and the touch of the resin is so soft I just couldn't stop loving it more and more and more. It started as a platonic love and developed to a real one very fast.

Immortality of Soul was a bit different. I've never really looked close at their sculpts because it has never really got my attention, but there was a girl on the local community selling a brand new IoS M for a reasonable price and I just thought he could be a good sculpt for one of my characters, so I took a chance. I regret nothing at all. It's so detailed, the resin feels amazing to the skin and it poses so nicely that I can't stop playing around with it.

    17. For an over all comprehensive favourite I would have to say Granado. I love my Switch and IOS boys beyond measure but Granado is a bit different. The company has a very intimate feel to it. I like their over all concept plus the resin quality, sculpting and company face-ups are amazing. The posing is natural and fluid. The customer service is awesome...There is something organic about Granado dolls, every angle illicits a different personality. And in that vein every one of their dolls is exquisitely unique.

    18. Overall volks is my fav doll company. I prefer their service and quality of resin. I like their style of face up a lot too.
Though I prefer Leeke, luts and a few other korean company for their wig.

    19. When I was first getting into the hobby, the first company I really loved was Dreaming Doll. I knew right away that I liked the MSD size in general, though not so much the more immature looking ones (those are cute too, they're just not for me!). DD has a mature looking body and some really lovely sculpts (fell in love with Misora and Airi immediately), and pretty reasonable prices (appealing to a first doll buyer). Although in the end I didn't end up purchasing any dolls from them. xD;

Now my heart goes out to Iplehouse, hands down, for their head sculps. Their cute little noses and lips, eeee and that little dimple above the upper lip that is so often overlooked. I also really like the JID body. It's so hard to find mature looking MSDs, even if it isn't the greatest poser. I have one and I think she poses very naturally, even if she can't do everything.

For bodies, my favourite has to be Fairyland. I love minifees. (Who doesn't?) You just can't beat that posability (well, arguably the DoC body can), and they have such cute proportions. x3 I'm attempting a JID-minifee hybrid soon, squeeee~~

I'm also very fond of Soulldoll and Withdoll for their unique, mature sculpts. Also Doll Chateau... I love their super stylized look, though sadly I think it might look odd against the rest of my collection. Still, they're so pretty and delicate. :c Alas!

    20. Volks hands down is my favorite company! I like Super Dollfie and Dollfie Dreams!

I really love how they make licensed character doll releases! I don't mind paying extra for something that is official!
