1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Favorite Doll Company and Why

May 5, 2012

    1. deff Doll Chateau, i prefer artistic than realistic dolls....when collecting dolls i rather feel like paying for the art thing, and DC is worthed to buy.
beside DC, the asian bjd company that attract me is Dollzone (they're making beautiful and gorgeous dolls!! and who would thought they are DC sisters company XD)
and DIM doll (i love their lips!!! you can tell its a DIM just by lookin at the lips)
but now i have planning to buy Soom Chesire Cat Fantasy head from my friend...the smile sculpt is just so hard to resist

for non asian company.... i think i love them all!!! Cerisedolls and Irrealdol Enyo is so cutee

    2. I've replied to this thread at some point but I want to add to what I said back then! Luts is still my favorite company hands down because of their customer service and their prices and their superb quality and amazing faceups and... I seriously have nothing but praise for them.

Recently Withdoll has shot to the very top of my favorite companies for many many many reasons. Their sculpts are amazing, their quality as well, their poseability is off the charts, their amazing range of resin color options is simply mindblowing and they top it off with insanely wonderful events at that. Can't say I have the right to complain about anything at all with them; I just wish to add more and more of their dolls in my family as soon as possible!

    3. Gosh! there are so many great dollmakers out there. But my most favorite has to be the doll artists from ANother Secret. I just adore all of their sculpts. They are all just so unique! I love to see the little differences and styles from the different artists.
I get so excited hearing new things from them^^ Yep, they are my most favorite!

    4. DollZone for me! I love their sculpts. :) They all have character and tend to be faces I just like. Every DZ sculpt is very androgynous and works well for a doll of any gender. Their bodies are really lovely, too, and they have a good range of body sculpts. They even have really lovely clothing and shoes! DZ just hits all of my dolly sweet spots.

I also like Bobobie/Resinsoul a lot, because they have really interesting sculpts and fantasy parts for really affordable prices.

    5. Well, I have a lot of favorites but the one I am clinging to is Luts, because of their beautiful and amazing sculpts fitting into my character and attitude. They are highly assured so no worries when there is a damage by. They are very excellent in customer service.

Fairyland, I love their posing and their minifees are really great. But there are a lot of heads or sculpts to choose from. I haven't bought from them yet but I heard they have wonderful service. I honestly prefer feeple60 than a Minifee

Doll-love because of they're amazing and beautiful bjd and yet they are very affordable, they have a good communication and service

    6. As of now, Iplehouse and Fairyland. I love the relistic sculpts of Iplehouse and I like the cuteness/prettiness of the Fairyland dolls. I love many companies though...to throw in a few others: Migidoll, Soul Doll, Luts...

    7. I'm a Volks fan. ♥ I love their products and the way they do business.

I love that I can buy a "standard" doll, and it ships right away. I don't have to wait for it to be made; it's already available. I like that the standards come with the eyes and wigs pictured. I don't care if I don't like those eyes or wigs, I appreciate knowing they'll be there. Same for the underwear. I think the prices for standard dolls are fair.

I like the way that Volks doll bodies are sculpted. I think they're very pretty, and there are always plenty of details in the sculpts, like folds of skin or hints of ribs or other bones. Other companies make dolls with joints that are significantly more elaborate. Other companies design their dolls with joints that are engineered to work in specific fashion. I'm okay with that not being a top concern for Volks. I think their doll bodies are beautiful. I'm a huge fan of the SD girl one-piece torso. It can't bend at the waist or the hips, but the curve of the back is gorgeous. The high heeled legs on the Graffiti girl and the SD16 girl are beautiful. The boy bodies have similar details.

I adore the quality of Volks outfits. *_* They're so well made. Many of them are constructed better than my own casual clothing. XD

I think it's awesome that Volks hosts events and operates so many physical stores. When I see pictures of Dolls' Parties I wish I could be at one!

I get excited learning about new limited dolls. The lottery system makes it nerve-wracking, but even though I don't enjoy the lottery system at least I understand the lottery system. I think the lottery prices for the limited dolls is generally fair for the total package that is being offered.

I have so much fun reading the various Volks blogs. They are updated constantly! Same with Twitter! There are always pictures to see and content to read.

Also, I love that they take such terrible pictures! XD It makes receiving the actual doll, or seeing owner pictures, a pleasant surprise. I don't worry about misleading photo editing. (Of course, it's always misleading crappy promotional pictures... but I feel misled in a different direction, at least.)

I'm sure I could keep going, but these are a few reasons why that company is my favourite company.

    8. Iplehouse because their dolls are just so beautiful and realiatic looking I love them so much my grail doll is an Iple

    9. Iplehouse and Volks. But Volks are quite hard to get in my opinion though, Iplehouse is very realistic and amazing!

    10. Fairyland is at the top of my list! I love their sculpts and size range for dolls. Plus the poseability for them is amazing! I like Iplehouse for the beauty of their sculpts.

    11. Doll Chateau is my favorite! I love how weird and elegant they are.

    12. In the last year, my taste has changed a bit.

So my new list would be:

Iplehouse, Crobidoll, Elfdoll, Migidoll, Napidoll and Volks.

    13. So far I'm fond of Volks and Luts the most, but that may change later.

    14. I have to say my favourite has always been VOLKS. The dolls just always look so elegant, and it matches perfectly with how a doll modeling Lolita fashion should look. It also seems like they really treasure their dolls, really out work into making the dolls and the company as a whole so much bigger than what's necessary. They have this sort of impression that "every doll is important to us, and we're gonna go out there and make the best dolls ever" type of thing.

    15. I love the Migidoll heads, but can't stand the body! The torso is just too long for my taste. But the heads are more than beautiful enough to make up for it. I once took an inventory of all my favorite dolls from all my favorite photographers on deviantart and all but one were Migidolls! I was kind of surprised. :)

    16. My favorites are:
Doll Chateau: I absolutely love this company because it produces dolls that look out of norm. It's such a strange beauty that these dolls exude! I am completely drawn to them and their looks, though I know a lot of people find them creepy. Ahaha!

Soom: I am in love with their fantasy dolls. Complete, utter love for these dolls.

Doll Zone: I love the fact that they offer Tan Skin(because many companies I find amazing do not), and their dolls are just beautiful. They are more of the realistic beauty that I find endearing.

I feel like the list can go on, so I'll stop here. Haha!

    17. I'd have to say I am most partial to the sculpts of Fairyland (including my grail.)
There's a lot of companies in this thread I haven't heard of, though. I'll have to check them out.

    18. My favorite is Fairyland :3 I love the amazing posability that they have and the amazing detail that goes into them.

    19. My favourite is Volks. I know it's biased since I never owned any dolls from any other companies. I like Volks because of the way the dolls look. They look very "doll like" to me. Not too realistic looking but that very dreamy and cute doll look. I don't really know how to describe it but that's what I define as a very appealing doll. I tried looking at other dolls sites but at the end of the day I still go back to Volks. I also really like the quality of Volks. The texture of the dolls are very smooth and silky, they also seem very durable. I also love the faceups of Volks dolls, they are so detailed. Their stock pictures are junk, when I got my doll in person, I was so surprised at how detailed it was. I am very new to this hobby so maybe in the future I would like dolls from other companies.

    20. I'm not familiar with many doll companies, but my favorite right now is Bobobie. I love the style of their faces, the affordable price, and how light the SDs are. My friends with Bobobies have all had really great experience with them. Their dolls come in so many colors, I've heard great reviews about them all over the place, and there is a bit of a sentimental factor I suppose. The first two dolls I ever saw were Bobobies, and my first was a Bobobie.
