1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Favorite Doll Company and Why

May 5, 2012

    1. Right now, I'd say that there are two companies that are my 'favorites'. And they would have to be DollLeaves, and Mystic kids. I favor DollLeaves for sentimental reasons, since they were the company I got my very first bjd from. So while I'm not so keen on all of their dolls, the few that I do like are definitely worth the wait. Another reason they made the list is due to less costly prices that they provide, plus the dolls are very good at posing and standing.

Mystic Kids is another favorite because, while they are slightly more pricey then the DollLeaves dolls, MK dolls are really pretty. And the are an absolute dream to work with when posing for pictures.

    2. At the moment I like Doll Chateau the most. Their head sculpts are so special to me. When I first saw some of their Dolls I told my husband how creepy they look because of their really skinny bodies. But now they are so unique for me and I'm happy to own two heads^^

    3. Ooh I'm super happy to hear that about Mystic Kids Kyavi - I have MK Eileen on my short list for a first doll and I plan to do a lot of things with them that would be helped with good posing.

    4. So far, I still don't have my absolute favorite company. But the company with beautiful mold (head) must be Migidoll. I just like their style :) Even though body and their resin aren't the best.

    5. I'm a big fan of Doll Zone because the first few dolls I liked came from their company.

However, I think overall I love Doll Chateau because of the odd dolls. Even if I do prefer their Male doll, I just love the longer necks, and skeleton-like features in the arms and legs.

    6. I have to say Iplehouse, even though I'm fairly new to this hobby and I don't own any of their dolls (yet, I'm planning to order S.I.D. Aria). I love so many of their sculpts, their bodies look amazing and they make faces look personal. I've heard about their good quality and their website is pretty. :)

    7. My favourite company is probably Doll Chateau. I'm in love with their body and some sculpts (especially kid dolls). I like their joints. I like the outlines. The quality. Gives the feeling of very special, hand-made-with-love dolls. I own two dolls from their company and would not mind to have more.

    8. My favorite company so far is Fairyland. I first fell in love with their dolls because I fell in love with the perfect proportions of their Littlefee and Pukifee bodies. I had been looking into getting some smaller BJD's and after looking at several different companies - I kept getting pulled back in to Fairyland because they had the best looking bodies sculpt-wise, posing-wise, and proportion-wise. That and the fact that I love the wide variety of gorgeous sculpts and how easy it is to change faces.

    9. Currently I really love both Souldoll and Supia for their asthetics. Soulkids in particular really have me chomping at the bit to buy one, and Supia's SD's are absolutely breathtaking! I can't wait to order from either!

    10. I have to say Volks and Soom. I've owned dolls from many companies, but for financial reasons decided to limit myself to two companies and keep a similar aesthetic. Volks and Soom are just the right mix of realism and fantasy for me. That said, I admire bluefairy dolls and have always wanted a Tommy.

    11. Im starting to fall in love with Volks, more specifically Dollfie dreams. I love the anime style doll. As well as the lightness and ease of carrying a vinyl over resin. Its soo lightweight. I just have a hard time deciding how to dress a doll once I do get it.

    12. Mystic kids is my current fave, I love their sculpts and their resin is beautiful! Not to mention their dolls are by far my best standers! That being said different companies can be a favorite for different reasons, I have friends that order differentlt based on what quality they are most looking for at the time!

    13. My favorite doll company is Souldoll. I prefer male dolls and so many of their male dolls appeal to me. I have two of their dolls - a Vito Sharics and a Vito Lester - and they pose like a dream. After Souldoll I really like Mystic Kids. I bought a MK Gene and I was really impressed with the quality and he also poses really well.

    14. My favourite doll company is Iplehouse. I prefer realistic-looking dolls, and Iplehouse has the most beautiful realistic sculpts. After Iplehouse I like Naraes best.

    15. I was planning to purchase a VOLK doll at a LA store, but they closed it beginning of this year. Anyway, VOLKS staff were so wonderful whenever I called them. I used to like LUTS, but their dolls tend to have more of anime look, but I guess it is no more or less than any other BJD manufacturers. I still really like LUTS, but I now prefer Dollmore dolls. They are more in aligned with my aesthetics and preferences.

    16. Luts is my favorite company for several reasons. I love their sculpts and big variety of wigs and outfits. I also love how well their bodies pose, I have a delf, kid delf, senior delf and a senior65 body and both of them pose super well, the only one I had to hot glue sued was my senior delf and only because the string was old and I didn't have any new one. They have wonderful costumer service and a really nice team. On top of that their bjd have an amazing price for what you get, sure FL CP might have left and they are popular but overpriced and their quality is crap now and their costumer service is awful, so I would rather stick to the good old luts that still hasn't sky rocket their prices just because of their popularity while lowering quality standards. Over all I just can't think of anything to complain when it comes to them.

    17. Dream of Doll by far. They were one of the first companies I found out about and I love pretty much all their sculpts and have the best face ups. One of the few companies I would always get the face up and they're pretty reasonably priced. Usually I don't pay to much attention to the bodies but all of them are so well made. If I had the money I would buy so many of them.

    18. Sculpt-wise: Iplehouse (for the heads) and Fairyland (for the bodies). I just find them aesthetically pleasing I guess ^^;

Customer service-wise: Resinsoul! I can't stress enough how awesome their service is ^^ Their dolls are not half-bad either!

    19. I'm just so in love with Migidoll sculpts! And I like their new bodies, just haven't been lucky enough to buy a whole doll lol, but if I could I would own pretty much all their SD head sculpts :love they were really nice too and even though I got everything from an event, they shipped my babies real fast :3nodding: lots of goodies and cute things came with them, I totes love Migidoll :aheartbea

Hm... haven't bought from them but I might say Soom too, dear lord I love all the super gem line, my grail doll is from Soom, so yeah. And I don't even plan on buying from this one but I must say: Volks, all their dolls are outright gorgeous, specially the big ones <3

    20. Iplehouse. Their faces have so much character, and their bodies are gorgeous. Also, I prefer realistic looks and most companies' dolls are more stylized than I like.
