1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Favorite Doll Company and Why

May 5, 2012

    1. A definite clash between Luts and Crobidoll for me.

I like most of Luts' dolls from their honey delves to SSDFs and they populate most of my list of owned dolls (with one remaining in my tiny wishlist) 4 + 1. It's their faces, their expressive eyes, the versatility of the molds, the beauty and poseability of the bodies... everything is about perfect.

As for Crobi I like all of their sculpt, no exceptions. There are some that don't enchant me enough, but if I could I'd own most of them readily. While the poseability of their bodies isn't as great they're definitely beautiful bodies at the very least.

    2. D-d-d-DOLLZONE. This may only be because my first was a Dollzone, but--I just love their faces and their creative molds and unique look and HNGH.

      ...so yeah, Dollzone. XD

    3. I guess the dolls of Iplehouse beautiful, very realistic, if I had money would have six of them. I also like the boys in the house Souldoll and DOD.

At home, Erick (Don Ringdoll), Hwang Lee (Luke # 1 Dream Of Doll) Hana Kiori (Cherie Iplehouse) Kalishi (head or Eris Doll / impldoll body) and head of Tae (souldoll)

    4. I cannot pick out one company that is my favorite. After so many years in the hobby, I'm very fond of a number of them!

Cerberus Project - not a company, in the strict sense, but a wonderful sculpting team, whose dolls dominate my collection. I have 10 CP dolls (Delfs, MNFs, LTF and PKF) with 11th on the way. I love their sculpting style, posing ability and the overall expressiveness of the sculpts. I've been buying their dolls since 2003 and don't plan to stop anytime soon.

Dear Mine - I love everything about this company - sculpts, quality, resin, attention to detail and outstanding customer service. I have 5 Dear Mine dolls so far and I've been very impressed with the care and craftsmanship involved in each one of them. I cannot say enough about this company's customer service - if there was such a thing as 'perfect', they would be it. As a customer, I feel special and important, even after my doll has arrived, which cannot be said for many popular companies out there. I respect this company and the way it does business, so I will continue prioritizing my dolly spending in such a way that will support Dear Mine's artists.

Volks - even though I do not have many dolls from this company (one at home and one on the way), it is definitely on the top of my list. The resin feels amazing - it's probably the best quality resin in my collection. The engineering, even if not extremely innovative, is very solid and the doll is able to achieve basic poses with no problems. I like this company's business practices and I will certainly be adding more of their dolls to my collection when I'm lucky enough to win their lotteries.

I enjoy other companies' dolls as well, but the ones that I didn't mention directly I feel have certain areas that they must improve in - customer service, casting quality and engineering are things that are very important to me and some companies that I've dealt with have problems in one or multiple of these areas.

    5. For me it is a tie between Soom and Luts, I really do love both despite the fact that I only have Soom on all of my lists. Luts has a really nice aesthetic that I love, but it unfortunately doesnt match up with the dolls I have. I have 3 more sooms on my list before my characters are shelled, maybe after i will start on luts XD

    6. Right now it's probably Luts. I just love their sculpts, and the feel of their resin. Also their customer service has always been the best in my experience. :)

    7. Let me see:

Favorite Company to buy from Volks. 2/3 of my crews were adopted from Volks. They are a mighty fine company with good products and excellent service. Love their outfits - cannot get my hands on any at time but still lovely

FAVORITE COMPANY to Drool over - Simply Divine because Liz's work is SIMPLY AWESOME

Favorite Company to get dolls and wish he makes new head molds - Dollshe. I love buying and giving them to my dearest face up artist to create Super Hawt Men

Favorite company to look at - Soom LOL

Favorite Doll outfit company - Sadol, Soul Doll, Dolls Heart etc

    8. Well... I love Luts & Crobidoll because their dolls are lovely, their customer service is great, their resin is nice, and they have beautiful doll stuffs as well. ^^

    9. Id have to say Fairyland because omg i haven't seen any scults i like as much as them ;-; i also love bluefairy but i would love to see some other company's >W<!!! but the ones iv seen so far dont tickle my fancy as much as them ;O;.

    10. Migidoll!

I'm not sure why exactly, but their sculpts really seem so much like many of my OCs and I can't help but want to get every sculpt there is, haha. I think it's how they always have a certain glare, and that their lips and eyes are sculpted in a way such that it is both realistic and yet a bit stylised. I can't really fit very realistic looking sculpts into my crew (iplehouse has wonderful dolls, but somehow I never could imagine owning them) but I don't like extremely stylised sculpts, so to me, Migi is a wonderful "in-between".

    11. That's a toughie....I'm torn because a lot of beautiful dolls come from different companies...I really like RS mainly because the dolls really are gorgeous and are affordable....

    12. So far, HZ and Angel of Dream. Mainly due to the fact that those are the only two lines I currently own. You will find that HZ has some of the moodiest sculpts out there, which for me is a bonus. HZ is also known for their amazing outfits. Now onto Angel of Dream; they are decent for their price and have great possibility. My dear "Jiasha" is how I discovered them. <3

    13. Migidoll, Crobidoll and SOOM. Migi and Crobi make gorgeous boys and SOOM because I love theirs MD :)

    14. I am and always will be a ShinyDoll fangirl, for many reasons. The sculpts are really unique and range from cute anime inspired faces, to beautiful elves, to realistic, delicate Asian faces. The resin quality is simply superb. It's heavy and rich and very, very stable and consistent from batch to batch. The engineering of the bodies is amazing. The jointing system is elegant, no gaping knee or elbow joints, and the posability is second to none. Shin-san (the single person behind ShinyDoll) is constantly improving the jointing, body line, and balance of the bodies he creates. He listens to his fans and takes into consideration our input. He encourages the use of ShinyDoll bodies in hybrids, and even expertly modded a head for me so I could put it on one of his bodies (how's that for customer service?!). There's even a hybrid photo gallery on the ShinyDoll website! And instead of waiting several weeks or months for your new doll to arrive, you'll wait maybe 2 weeks, tops.

      tl;dr: ShinyDoll is awesome. :)

    15. Leeke World, Luts, Volks and Marchen Waltz is my favorite company. They have the most adorable girl doll ever!

    16. It used to be AoD. I loved their mature mini bodies and nice faces, but their newest stuff just killed it for me. The bodies are less mature and it appears that their sculpts have been changed or not filled as much or...something is off.

Now, my favorite without question is Blue Blood Doll. I have every single sculpt they've produced and want more. The service is amazing, they pose well, the resin is the best to look at and touch (enviro and just barely translucent enough to glow) and Medusa's communication is the best I've ever dealt with. She does faceups herself and I've never seen one that isn't perfect. Not to mention dolls are usually in stock and home within a week, and a preorder is usually done in a month or two. The joints are great, as string never shows and they have great hands and feet (huge deal for me, I hate "thick" feet or tiny hands or sausage fingers on dolls). Most also come with your choice of an extra (My Valentine came with my choice of an outfit, my Draven and Silver came with my choice of shoes and wig) and their boxes are sturdy and have that nice foam cut out to protect them. I'm just totally in love with BBD!

    17. Zaoll /Dollmore/, Supia and Unoa - my favorites.....now...)

    18. I really love Migidoll. I only have hybrids though but I adore the head sculpts so I can't say anything about their posing. I also love Dollzone Megi's and would like to adopt one of each skintone. <3

    19. I forget - I like Zaoll for they individual face, Supia for amazing torso and Unoa for beautiful legs and cute face

    20. There are individual sculpts that I like from a lot of different companies, honestly... but when it comes to an over-all line of dolls taken as a collective group, my first love will always be for Cerberus Project. Their Delfs in particular.
