1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Favorite Doll Company and Why

May 5, 2012

    1. Fairyland. I love almost all the sculpts and from what I hear, their posing is awesome. I also like the EID's at Iplehouse. They are more mature looking.

    2. Soom- their fantasy dolls have been raping my wallet for the past 4 years, particularly the past three. They were the first Yo size dolls I ever bought. And I'm waiting on a Feamon Isaac right now

Rosette- Soom's neglected little sister! These twig girls just look great and pose great and they are long and amazing.

Cerisedolls- Holy COW I LOVE her so much! I have Eugenie and I'm waiting on two more! I love the play of proportions. I love how far removed from human they are, the cartoon proportions and the skill of sculpting is like nothing else out there. Eugenie has THE ONLY SEAMLESS face-plate I've ever seen.

Volks- Their sculpts just do it for it me! Unfortunately... They break my heart more than I'd like... le sigh...

Doll Chateau- Amazing and artistic dolls that are still accessible! I don't have any but there are so many on my wishlist!

    3. Fairyland- I love almost all of their sculpts, and their posing is the easiest for me. Plus they're just so cute.

Doll Chateau- So surreal and lovely. Unusual, but beautiful. They definitely grow on you, and grow on your wallet.

Iplehouse- Beautiful sculpts, so realistic looking.

Crobidoll- They were a delight to order from. Nicest customer service.

    4. On this moment my favorite firm - Souldoll. I like everything: sculpt, make-up, outfit.
      Also I like: Fairyland, Iplehouse.

    5. Wow! I emailed Impldoll just 10 minutes ago to ask about the doll I ordered (being a first-time BJD mom) They already got back to me and said she will be on her way in three days!!!! *Squeee!!!!* So excited! So for ease of communication, I'd have to say Impldoll! And I love how their dolls are so realistic looking.

    6. Yes, there are such) And not one) most of all I like:
Iplehouse - their dolls me for a long time have already conquered, and when there was the Sam... Now I want all the lines from the JID and below))
Doll Chateau - when I was given hold Alberta... then you can not continue. Want to make a boy MSD)

    7. Great thread!

My favorite is Iplehouse :aheartbea When I first became really interested in bjds, I was so frustrated that many companies (like Soom) had beautiful dolls which I had missed because they were limited. Iplehouse has great availability, a wide selection, and beautiful realistic sculpts. And they are a pleasure to deal with!

    8. I could have sworn I've posted in this thread before...but I can't find it XD

Dollmore is my favorite. I've ordered from them so many times I've lost count, and each time has been a wonderful experience. My first and favorite dolls are from them, and I would own every one they put out if I was a gazillionare and could afford them along with the entire house I'd have to buy just to put them in. They're all just so pretty and unique!
Their customer service has always been fabulous and they make it a joy for me to order!

Migidoll is another favorite of mine, all the sculpts are so gorgeous, and even though I always seem to go back to Miho and Ryu, I love them all.

Dollzone and Doll Chateau have moved up there on my list as well. They both keep coming up with the most amazing sculpts! Each new release is so exciting! Dollzone especially keeps impressing me just in terms of the quality of their products... not just the dolls (though the new one I recently got from DZ is perfect and as beautiful as can be) but the clothes! The amount of improvement I think they've made in a short time is astounding to me. And it doesn't help that I want about 75% of their fullsets and all their event dolls.

    9. I've over 3 dolls from DikaDoll; Soom; Dollzone so I must really like those companies :D However since I keep ordering more & more from Iplehouse gotta say they have my fav sculpts.
I do have 2 Volks dolls which are very good quality but the utter stupidity of their marketing which basically makes it incredibly difficult to get the dolls I really want from them (the SD 17 ones etc) just infuriates me and dampens my desire to bother with them. Soom & Iplehouse dolls are equally wonderful dolls and DO NOT play these obstructionist elitist games with their customers.

    10. I would have to say Luts, Crobidoll, and Supia. Surprisingly, my first doll is going to be from Doll Leaves, because I found a sculpt from them that fits my OC perfectly, however I'm not too crazy about the majority of dolls they have for sale. They do have good customer service, however. My second one is going to be Supia, just because I love the girls they produce.

    11. doll chateau because their dolls are fantastics! I love the body shape and the strange looking of the dolls!:)

    12. Souldoll and Soom. Soom because fantasy parts are amazing, and Souldoll because their face sculpts are so lovely.

    13. doll chateau hands down

    14. well, I this is so true. But I'm just not entirely sure if I'd ever buy a doll from them...? :s
They're so poetic. TT_TT makes me wanna cry
I am IN LOVE with Soom's iMda set though, otherwise~

    15. Soom, because of their amazing fantasy line. I honestly haven't seen any other company with such a grasp for iconic, minimalistic, striking fantasy sculpture. Even Soom doesn't hit the mark every time, but dolls like the original Sard and Beryl still take my breath away.

    16. Ever since I've started this hobby, I've always had the hugest crush on Iplehouse dolls. I don't own one, and may never own one....but I just adore this company. I love them because of how beautiful and refined their dolls are. I tend to favour more mature sculpts and Iplehouse has that in spades. I'd really love to own an Iple one day...

    17. I would say Fairyland only because I don't think I would've gotten into BJDs without them as they made the first BJD that really got my attention and made me want to want one.

    18. It's between Resinsoul and Fairyland for me. Most of my favorite sculpts come from those two companies.

    19. There's many companies I love the browse but really, money talks:

SOOM - Soom piqued my interest before I even liked BJDs, starting with Godo. But after Euclase drew me in, I ordered 16+ of their MDs and also a used Godo. Look at them now! Dolls of every shape and size, including anthros and eggs, and largely done incredibly well. Some of their head sculpts are spectacular, and gotta love their various fantasy parts. Like it or not, they set the bar. Some things I don't like, but they dominate my collection.

Pipos - They pretty much started the anthro BJDs, and their classic sculpts hold up incredibly well. I really don't like their recent stuff, but I have my oldies I still adore (baha, cheshires, bao). Lovely faceups as well.

Dollzone - I didn't realize I was a fan until I counted how many DZs I own! They are very hit or miss, but I love their Anson and several anthros. They also have some neat event dolls. Can be really artistic.

Supia - I browsed em forever, and finally got a couple heads with no regrets. Their classic sculpts are popular for good reason! And her newer sculpts are pretty as well. She's very talented so its good to see her business grow.

My last few companies are DIM minimee heads (very hit or miss), and luts anthros (but I often have trouble bonding).

Other companies have some nice product, but not enough enticement or encouragement to pay forth. Migidoll doesn't offer very good or any faceups. Iplehouse seems too pricey for what you get or doesn't offer their best asset (the heads). Elfdoll doesn't quite get it. And so on.

    20. Fairyland ALL THE WAY.
Their sculpts are so alive looking and they are ALL beautiful!
Their bodies are super easy to pose and they stay strong and dont loosen like resinsoul.
Fairyland has yet to disapoint me :D
