Feedback for Animemom

I've thought about posting anything negative for a long time--but I'd like to continue to sell dolls and clothes, so I think I need to post this. Unfortunately, I bought a DIM body from Marie, and it wasn't the new body as listed. It wasn't even a new body. I asked her about this and she told me it was my fault for not asking the right questions--she told me it was a doll she had gotten in a trade and she didn't know that much about it. I wish I had known this was how she does business. At the time she had many dolls listed for sale on DoA and stated that she needed to make a sale so she could pay her credit card bills and pay for incoming dolls.

Another thing that bothered me about this transaction was that she sent a message telling me that she would appreciate it if I paid the doll off early--I had done a layaway with the 30th of each month as the payment date--the reason she gave me was that her husband was working nights and was going to sleep in the room where she stores all the 'for sale dolls' and she didn't want to disturb him. She could easily have moved the doll to another room or was her DH never going to leave the doll room? I thought that was a completely lame reason to ask for early payment. Why couldn't she have just said she was in a pinch? I would have helped her out. I really do respond well to honesty. That's when I looked up all her sales threads and found her rather desperate posts. I paid her off a day before the agreed upon due date. I was already irritated before I even received the body.

I asked her for a refund since the doll I received was not what was described at all. She refused. I filed a claim with paypal and got only 100.00 of the 400.00 I paid for this body refunded to me.

I see that she now offers refunds. Live and learn, I guess.

This is the only bad transaction I've had here or on any other doll board in the past ten years--well, since I've been collecting dolls.

 

and see her quite often on ZOZ. Luckily she sold me my first BJD so knows what sizes fit him. This time I bought two shirts for a very low price and as always they were of the best quality and fit perfect, and shipping was very fast. I would not hesitate to keep on doing business with her!

 

I sold a Dollshe Saint head to Animemom recently, and she is a wonderful buyer. She was very communicative and even paid earlier than expected. When he arrived, she let me know right away. It was a very good transaction, thank you!

 

Purchased two DoA shirts from animemom, and the transaction went wonderfully from start to finish -- her PMs were fast and friendly, shipping was lightning-quick, and the shirts arrived in great condition. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to do business again!
