1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Feedback for Azukiredbean

Jul 27, 2010

    1. On Thursday, 6/23/11, Azukiredbean messaged me asking if he could purchase my Bobobie/Resinsoul Sprite hybrid with a money order, even though I had not listed money orders as an acceptable form of payment in my sale thread. I agreed to this transaction, and he shipped it the next day using USPS Priority Mail, with tracking. During this very short waiting period, he inquired as to how long it would take me to ship the doll after I received the money order, even though it stated in the sale thread that I would ship 1-3 days after receiving payment. The money order arrived on Tuesday, 6/28/11, and I cashed it the same day.

I very much appreciated the tracking, and the prompt mailing and arrival on the money order! That was super awesome of him to put the tracking on there and the money order arrived flawlessly. :')

      --

On Wednesday, 6/29/11, I mailed the doll. When Azukiredbean asked if I had purchased a tracking number, I told him that I had not because I believed that I had put it in my sale thread that delivery confirmation would cost extra. Turns out, I had not said I would, nor had I said I would not include this service. When he asked what method of shipping I had used, I told him I shipped her via First Class as that is what I requested at the post office.

I received 5 PMs from him on this date involving this transaction, some of which he sent back-to-back without waiting for a reply from me. I assumed this was because he was excited about his new dollieh, which is something I can definitely identify with!

      --

On Saturday, 7/2/11, three days after I shipped the doll, Azukiredbean gave me an update. The package had not arrived yet.

      --

On Wednesday, 7/6/11, exactly one week after shipping, I received another update. The doll still had not arrived, even though I had guesstimated the arrival date for First Class shipping to fall upon the previous day. For the record, my post office closed early at noon on 7/1 (Friday), and was closed for the entire day on 7/2 (Saturday) for the upcoming holiday; on 7/3 the post office was closed as it was a Sunday; and on 7/4 (Monday) the post office was closed as it was a holiday. I thought that perhaps the doll was just trapped in standard holiday backlog.

Again without waiting for a reply from me, it was at this point Azukiredbean asked to see a scanned copy of the receipt, to which I was offended as the only reasoning I personally could comprehend behind this request was that he did not believe I had shipped the doll.

Then he researched USPS First Class shipping to discover that it is reserved for packages under 13oz and immediately PMed me this new-found information, before I got a chance to reply to the other PM. This fact was news to me.

I responded in a friendly manner with the requested receipt and did not voice my feelings on this matter because I understood that he had just spent a large sum of money on a doll, and that he was nervous that the doll may have gotten lost in shipping or that I had scammed him. Both are legitimate reasons to be wary, and with internet transactions it's hard not to be suspicious of everybody. As a side note, I am also well aware that my feelings are not as important as cold hard facts in a business transaction, but I believe that they are worth mentioning in a feedback thread regardless.

When I received the new-found information about First Class shipping, I was confused, as I had specifically asked the post office worker to mail the package via First Class. When I took a look at the receipt, I was horrified to learn that she had rang the package up as Parcel Post and not First Class shipping, without informing me that she had not done as I had requested.

Parcel Post is very slow, as both Azukiredbean and I would learn over the course of the next few days.

Also on this date, Azukiredbean reiterated the fact in more PMs (two more of which he shot off before I had a chance to reply...again, lol) that being stuck without a tracking number is not fun (to which I wholeheartedly agree), and that the doll was taking a little while to arrive. Regardless of the lack of tracking number and the speed of shipping, however, my thread clearly listed that shipping was free to United States buyers. Azukiredbean was a buyer who did not inquire as to which service would be used until after the transaction took place, and he assumed that I would provide delivery confirmation when I had not mentioned anything about it whatsoever in my thread. Again, I understood at this point that he was just nervous about the package getting lost in the mail, even though it had been exactly a week since I had shipped the doll, a week during which Independence Day and unavoidable holiday mail backlog took place.

I received 7 PMs from him on this date, a couple of which he sent back-to-back before I could reply.

The next day, Thursday, 7/7/11, I PMed Azukiredbean to see if the package had arrived yet. It had not. I shared with him my research on Parcel Post and the reasoning behind why it's very slow (which I will not go into detail here - it is unnecessary to say more than Parcel Post has proven to be very, very slow to MANY more people than just us) to reassure him (and myself) that the doll was not lost. I also resolved in a PM to him that I would go to the post office the next chance I could, which was on Monday, 7/11, to find out just what the heck was going on with the shipping.

      --

On Friday, 7/8/11, I received another update; she had still not arrived.

      --

On Saturday, 7/9/11, I received another update; she had still not arrived. This was now 10 days after I shipped her off, and 3 of those days were closed because of the holiday. I again stated that I would stop in on Monday to see what the holdup was. Azukiredbean repeated that he hoped the doll was not lost in the mail, with which I was in total agreement.

Please continue to next post, I ran into the 10000 character maximum.

    2. On Monday, 7/11/11, Azukiredbean messaged me asking if I was going to the post office that day even though I had already stated twice that I would be doing so. He told me that he was starting to get really worried; I was too. I could not understand why USPS was taking so long. Without waiting for a reply, he asked me what I would do if the package was lost, less than two weeks after shipping.

True to my word, I popped into the post office and asked about Parcel Post. They told me that it could take up to 14 business days to arrive. Today was business day 9. I asked about lost packages of my own accord (had not checked today's PMs yet), and was told to wait until next week to file a Lost Package claim - claims cannot be made before business day 14, which would have been the Monday of next week, 7/18.

Then, without waiting for a reply again, he sent me another PM double-checking that I had sent it to the correct address. This was affirmative; I had mailed her to the correct address. Then I relayed to him all of the information I received from my trip to the post office.

I received a total of 7 PMs from him on this date, three of which were sent before I had a chance to reply.

      --

On Wednesday, 7/13/11, exactly two weeks (including Sundays/holidays) since I shipped the doll, I received another 8 PMs from him, 5 of which he sent before I could reply. This was business day 11.

To start, I got PM at 15:04 stating that he still had not received the package. Then I got another PM at 16:31 with some great news - "they had her sitting there in the post office for a few days"! I was so glad she was found at last, even though she was strangely not delivered to his doorstep a few days prior. Silly, silly USPS. Regardless, yay! We now knew that she was not lost in the mail but was randomly sitting around his post office because USPS fails to deliver. Hoorah!

Then I got another PM at 16:54 PM before I could reply to any of the ones he had sent me so far that day:
Azukiredbean opened the box to find that one of the doll's fingers had broken during transit. It was at this point he told me in another PM (without waiting for my reply) at 17:10 PM that he would have to put this in my feedback, and that he hoped I could compensate him for the broken hand so he could get her a new one.

As expected, he left me neutral feedback stating roughly everything that I have mentioned in this post up to this point. He said in the feedback that he wished tracking would have been included, even though shipping was free for him. He said that the shipping speed was slow, even though it was of free for him, and he had not inquired as to what shipping method I would be using before he entered a transaction with me. Then he said that he had "just" received her on business day 11 even though she had been "sitting there in the post office for a few days" - I cannot and do not control when the postal service delivers Azukiredbean's packages.

Then he sent another PM at 17:49 PM giving me another option, that I could perhaps get him a new hand altogether. I still had not responded to any of his messages at all that day,

He sent me another PM 15 minutes later at 18:04 PM asking if I had received any of his messages. By this point, I felt that Azukiredbean was borderline pestering me with an excessive amount of PMs - I was not on Den of Angels for an entire three hours and had already received six PMs from him.

It was around this juncture that finally checked my phone at work to see that I had a bunch of DOA notifications, so I visited DOA on my cell to read and reply to these PMs. In my response to him, I stated that I would cover the cost for one hand, not the shipping for the hand also. Azukiredbean had not purchased insurance on the package, and he argued that I did not put enough padding in the box even though she had her yellow pillow and a bunch of packing peanuts in the box. He argued I did not bubble-wrap her hands, and hence the broken finger.

Long story short, we conversed via PM and when we could not come to a resolution, Azukiredbean seemed to jump at the chance to open a Problem Transaction thread about me, located here: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?459543

What miffed me about that thread was not the argument that ensued, however; it was because he openly admitted that he did not pay for the optional shipping insurance I had listed in my sale thread because the price I had quoted for it, $3.00, was "a lot for insurance to be honest." According to the USPS website, insurance on packages worth $100.01 to $200 (doll was $160 even) costs $2.85. I would have wound up using the remaining $0.15 for the pricey packaging costs, but I digress.

I eventually decided to just bite the bullet and pay for the hand plus the shipping from the company because I was emotionally exhausted, and me paying for the hand + shipping was the only resolution Azukiredbean would accept. I tried to talk things out with him on numerous occasions, and I gave him many options, but he was strongly unwilling to compromise under any circumstances. I felt defeated. So, I contacted a United States Resinsoul dealer of my own accord, worked out a plan for payment, and paid for the hand + shipping as Azukiredbean had requested all along.

And thus our Problem Transaction was resolved.

      --

      ULTIMATELY...

I do not think I would do business with Azukiredbean again simply because of how things were handled as a whole. As of this moment, the hand + shipping have just been paid for within the last few hours, and the thread is at last resolved; Sprite's finger got damaged in transit, in part because of the lack of bubble wrap and in part because USPS was not as gentle with the doll like they should have been. But, for the umpteenth time, I digress - things could have unfolded much better than they did. Hindsight is 20/20.

I have dealt with Azukiredbean on a small number of occasions before we entered an official transaction together, and he was kind to me back then. In this same light, he was understanding in the beginning of this transaction (and trigger-happy about hitting the send button). I will say things got unnecessarily messy in the middle, yes.

All of what I have written here today is why I am giving him neutral feedback for this.

      --

Thank you for your understanding, Azukiredbean.

    3. I traded a BBB March for his RS Li Trade when smooth, would love to do business with again

    4. I am so late in posting this feedback that I sincerely apologize. I didn't realize I hadn't feedbacked at the time!

Back in March I purchased a couple of handmade wigs from Azukiredbean. I was a little surprised by the way they were constructed, but I am overall content with my purchases. I especially love the tibetan orange lambs fur wig. Thank you for a smooth transaction.

    5. Azukiredbean sold me a Resinsoul Sprite/Rong hybrid and he was a pleasure to work with! I asked for extra pictures of the doll for sale and was sent them within a day after my request. I mailed a money order (which I was a little nervous about) and he told me when it arrived. Communication was great and I even received a tracking number for my package! The doll arrived wrapped in bubble paper and also a pillow bag for double protection. My new doll was in perfect condition and better than described! I would definitely do business with him again. Thank you so much! :)

    6. POSITIVE FEEDBACK

I bought a pink Dollzone wig from Azukiredbean. The communication was great and the wig arrived well-packaged. :aheartbea

      mabo~

    7. I sold a pair of spectacles to Azukiredbean, payment was prompt and communication was friendly. The overall transaction was smooth and fuss-free, Azuki is recommended as a buyer and I'd be pleased to do business with them again :)

    8. Great seller. Fast shipping, well packed. Thanks =]

    9. Azukiredbean ordered two more custom shirts from me and was once again, a great buyer! Thank you so much!

    10. Very nice seller, answered my questions very quickly and the doll arrived just as described. I am very satisfied, thanks ^^

    11. Flakey> Negitive feedback

      Azukiredbean
started a vocaloid swap not too long ago. Only a few members joined (around 10?) but all was fine, there were enough people and everything continued. The day after the parteners were assigned, Azukiredbean suddenly canceled the swap WITHOUT letting any of the members know. No warning or reason was given, and he attempted to delete the thread before another swap member noticed and caught him. In the end, I was made aware of the cancelation by another member all together.

Azukiredbean, I'm sorry but I would NOT recomend this member as someone to do business with. I wouldn't join another one of his swaps (this was suppose to me my first, but now I'm rather weary!), nor would I buy from him.
However, comunication in the beginning was friendly.
