1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Feedback for Bellforge

Jan 25, 2011

    1. Proceed with Caution

I concur with what Sanctioned posted as it is very similar to my experience. During the initial GO, Bellforge never replied to a couple of PM questions I sent her other than to send me a Paypal invoice. She did respond to my PM about the delay in receiving the package, but only to tell me mine was one of the last packages she shipped and to give it more time (even though she's in AL and I'm in GA).

I also joined a GO that was paid and sent to Leekeworld at about the one month mark for this GO. About a week later, Bellforge comes in claiming Leekeworld was running behind and it would be a couple more weeks before the orders arrived. In the meantime, the other GO was shipped and I received my items in 5 weeks. Bellforge then claimed she mailed out all but one or two missing orders on the 10th and 12th of Sept. I find it .... unsettling that the orders didn't arrive until after Paypal's 45 day dispute limit passed. The order was supposedly placed on July 17. She claimed she didn't get a shipping confirmation from Leeke until 8/30 - 45 days after I (along with probably most participants) paid my invoice. She then said the orders arrived on 9/6 (certainly a reasonable shipping time). Then she claimed she sent all the orders she received on the 10th and 12th. The 15th was the last day she posted to the GO thread. I believe the 18th was the last time she visited DOA until she received a phone call from one of the members here on the 26th. She claimed that the main post office had a system problem and that they assured her the packages would go out asap. Every person who has received their package so far has noted that the stamp date was the 26th. There was no indication that the packages were received in the PO facility two weeks earlier. Bellforge also has not posted in either the GO, Paging or Feedback thread since the 27th although she has been on the forum as late as this afternoon that I know of.

As for my own order - I am very unhappy. I had wanted them sent in a box and they were sent loose in a large priority envelope. That even though I paid $6.49 when the receipt showed the cost was only $5.10 with no out of pocket expenses to Bellforge. There was no Fragile stamp on the envelope anywhere. All the wigs were flattened. One wig (with banana curls) is terribly flat with strands sticking out all over. I'm hoping a friend who is pretty good with wigs can salvage it because it's unusable at this point.

I don't like to think badly about people. I tend to take them at face value until they do something to make me think otherwise. I wouldn't have had any concern at all if there weren't so many inconsistencies. However, I can't let this go with a "thankfully". I'm unhappy. Unless it can be proven LeekeWorld was running behind and there was a problem with the post office (I'm going to ask a friend in Birmingham to check on it for me) I will never have any dealings with Bellforge again.

    2. As I can't edit my previous comment I'll just have to make a new one.

Like the myriad others listed above me, I was in the Leeke Preorder GO Bellforge ran. At first things were fine, a little spotty on keeping lists up to date, but these things happen. Then the post issues, mine arrived earlier today, also post marked for Sept. 26...certainly not the 12th and prior she had told us.

The others above me have said it well enough (Sanctioned especially), while yes I am glad I got my items, I'm not pleased with how this GO went. I don't think I'd do business with Bellforge again either unfortunately.

    3. I, too, was in the Leeke Preorder GO run by Bellforge. As everyone else has said, communication was just fine at the beginning, but almost immediately after the package arrived from Leeke, communication crumbled. Bellforge was unreachable and seemed to be avoiding the forums and the GO members. She claims to have been sick (which is perfectly reasonable), but instead of getting on the forums and just writing a short note "Sorry guys, ate bad cantaloupe and will be laid low for two weeks. The package is here and everything is accounted for, but it will take me another two weeks to get everything out, please hold on!" would have been fine. Instead, we were left to wonder if she had ordered just a few wigs and had taken the rest of us for fools.

When she did get back on the forums, Bellforge assured us that the packages were all sent on September 12, and one person's package arrived right away. Like many others, my package came today (Sept 28) and was postmarked Sept 26.

Although everyone is being charitable by leaving neutral feedback or "proceed with caution" feedbacks, I have to mark this as bad feedback for Bellforge. The delay in shipping was not the problem, the wrong shipping container wasn't really that much of a problem, but the blatant dishonesty regarding shipping, and the refusal to communicate does not instill me with confidence. I can understand a first time GO running a little bumpy, but this was unacceptable to me.

    4. This is neutral feedback with a warning to proceed with caution. I do not want to leave negative feedback due to the fact that, in the end, I received my item in great condition.

I was a part of the Leekeworld G.O. that Bellforge ran. Communication was terrible to start with, and I had a gut feeling to remove my order, but I felt that would be flaky, so I stuck it out (now I almost wish I hadn't.) I got no confirmation that my order would be placed other than having to check the thread to make sure my name was on the list.

I really wanted to give Bellforge the benefit of the doubt in the beginning; I knew that since there were many pre-orders, there would be a delay in shipping from Leeke to her. However, after the order arrived to her, she said she sent the items out... then disappeared for quite a while with no word. It took a member of the G.O. calling her repeatedly for the items to finally reach us.

My item arrived postmarked the 29th. I was told it was sent out on the 12th. I do not appreciate being lied to; I would have forgiven shipping delays had she kept in contact with us and showed she was making an effort to get things straightened out. I understand that things come up in life, but the lack of communication made this a highly stressful experience, and I can only be happy that I had only ordered one wig so I wasn't nearly as stressed as some of the other members who had ordered much more. Overall, I will not be dealing with Bellforge again.

I will say, however, that my wig arrived safely packed in a box as I requested, so it was ultimately in good condition when it arrived to me.

    5. NEGATIVE FEEDBACK

I was part of the Leekeworld GO run by Bellforge. Here is the Paging thread we were forced to establish to get her attention when our parcels were not sent out:

      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?474679-Paging-Bellforge

My package did arrive, three days after I instituted a Paypal claim against her for postage only ( the time limit for a claim against the value of the goods had expired) and weeks after she said she'd sent the parcel by Priority Mail.

The reason I leave negative feedback is not due to the lateness of the parcel or the time wasted trying to contact her about it. My problem with Bellforge is that she ignored me even though she was not only online but logged into DOA. I sent polite emails, PMs and even contacted her on her LJ to try to get an answer about my order. She blew me off. I would have met her halfway and mitigated this feedback, but she gave me no reply at all

I caution anyone considering a transaction with Bellforge to avoid her, just as she avoided those who trusted her with this GO.

    6. I think all the details have been covered here, and in Bellforge's paging thread, so there's no need to say much else. Suffice it to say that, although in the end I received my items, Bellforge ignored us, lied to us, delayed our items by a month, and failed to deliver some people's items (not just those who are still waiting, but some people received only part of their order). Whatever her reasons may be, she clearly isn't fit to run future GOs, and I'm sure she will get a Marketplace Ban for this.

    7. I was also in this group order, and would like to echo what everyone else has already said here. Though my items were received in the end, communication with Bellforge was non-existant after the point where the order arrived at her house.

I would not deal a second time with an individual who will not respond to simple questions about an order.

    8. I too participated in this recent GO with Bellforge as the leader. I cannot really add to what has already been already said. I DID receive my items and they were in good shape.

Due to the lapse in communication and what seemed like blatant disrespect, I would NOT recommend or deal with Bellforge again.

    9. I also participated in the recent GO with Bellforge. I'm not able to add anything new to what is already said. I received my item in good condition, but because of how she lied and blew us off I would not recommend ever dealing with Bellforge.

    10. i have not been on DOA lately, so sorry for the late feedback!

but i participated in bellforge's leeke go, and got all of my items in a timely manner, and well packaged.

      thanks~

    11. I bought a pair of horns from Bellforge and and everything went perfectly. Communication was excellent, and Bellforge shipped them out quickly and extremely well packaged. I would definitely buy from Bellforge again. Thanks! :D

    12. NEGATIVE FEEDBACK

I was patient and tried to give Bellforge the benefit of the doubt on numerous occasions; but in the end, the manner in which she handled my purchase was wholly unacceptable. I paid swiftly in full but never received the item I purchased (or any proof that it was ever sent). Bellforge ignored multiple PMs and e-mails for over a month. In the end, I received a full refund under PayPal's Buyer Protection Policy.

Please see link below for the details of my highly disappointing transaction with Bellforge as the seller of a Volks SD16 girl body:
