It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Feedback for Caro

May 1, 2007

    1. I recently had a transaction with Caro. While it certainly wasn't a negative deal, I do feel that there were some factors that just aren't quite up to par with my personal standards for leaving positive feedback.

      Good Points:
-My doll was packaged pretty well. I'd give it a 9/10.
-The doll herself was in very good condition minus a few details mentioned below. The box and cushions were in very good condition as well.
-Good shipping time (minus communication details mentioned below).

      Needs Work:
-Communication: After some choppy, impersonal sticky caps PMs, Caro originally promised to ship my doll on a certain date and contact me with a tracking number. When she failed to do so, I contacted her to see what was up since I noticed she was online and posting. I clicked the box to notify me when she read the PMs. She read them and continued to browse DoA for at least an hour but did not respond. I didn't get a response until the next day saying the shipping was a day late but that it had been sent with a tracking number. Normally, I don't mind if certain circumstances make someone unable to ship something by the promised day (I myself have a busy schedule which sometimes causes shipping delays)... but when they're online, posting, casually shopping, have read my PM requesting a response and ignore me after I've paypal'ed over $650 to their account, I find it a bit rude. I hope I made it quite clear in my PMs that I am very understanding and wouldn't mind if there was a delay, I'd just like a response to make sure there were no problems with the shipping.

-Shipping: I requested that my package be shipped via EMS. After a few days, I noticed the tracking hadn't been updated and was starting to get worried. I checked the tracking on the Canada post website and noticed it said "expedited". I looked it up and realized that this method is considerably cheaper and slower than EMS. I contacted Caro to verify the method by which she send my doll. She confirmed that "EMS was too expensive" so she sent it expedited. Ok, fine. But why wasn't I told this when she sent me shipping notification? In my case, the change of shipping wasn't a huge deal, a little unsatisfying, but it was ok. I feel there is a certain responsibility of the seller to keep the buyer informed of changes like this. I shouldn't have to be the one catching all the small details. Some people might be going out of town and therefore will not be home to accept a package arriving at a date later than expected.

-Charges: When the package arrived I noticed a nearly $10 discrepancy in the actual shipping charge and the price I paid. Instead of Caro notifying me of this (and there was a gaping 2 week period in which she could have done so), I had to go to her and ask her for a refund. Luckily, she was kind and completed the refund quickly... had I not noticed though, she would have pocketed the $10. I found this slightly less than honest. I can understand missing a price difference of a dollar or two... but $10 is pretty big.

      -As described:
a.) The wig was an utter mess. I do not believe this to be completely her fault as it is quite long and therefore prone to tangle, but there was no note mentioning the condition of this. The sloppiness of the wig was such that I really feel this is something that should have been mentioned in the original sales post. Again, it's not big deal... it can be combed out... I'd just prefer to know I'm receiving a knotted, tangled item beforehand.
b.) There's a small blue mark under her chin that was not mentioned in the sales post (it's very faint so I can understand if it was simply missed, but it is a seller's duty to look over items very carefully for imperfections), and she arrived with some... I'm not quite sure... it's not quite dust or dirt... just debris I guess. I've owned a DoT before so I am more inclined to believe said debris came from her home and handling rather than from the DoD packaging.

Again, none of these things are huge deals and are very easily remedied. I'm not trying to make mountains out of mole-hills - I just feel that they need a little bit of improvement. I'm leaving this feedback with high hopes and the genuine intentions of leaving positive, constructive feedback. Peace of mind is a very important part of any transaction that involves so much money and emotional investment :).

Thanks again, Caro for selling me this lovely girl <3. She's just gorgeous I can't stop playing with her! :fangirl::aheartbea

    2. Caro bought my 2006 Elf Lishe & El and paid very quickly. She was so prompt with PMs & kept in touch during the entire process. Thank you so much! :D

    3. I bought a limhwa human from Caro on layaway, and it was a very pleasant transaction. Caro agreed to sending the face-plate and body seperately (face-plate directly to the face-up artist), which was a huge help to me, and a big plus.
Caro kept in touch, and let me know when my girl was posted. The package seemed to drop off the map for a little while, during which Caro did everything she could her end to try and find it (it turned up ok though, silly postal service!). The doll was well packaged, and exactly as described.
      Would happily reccomend to others.
      Thanks again!

    4. Caro buys a ElfDoll June from me. Nice PMs, super fast payment! Thanks you!

    5. I bought an doll from Caro and everything went very smoothly. She always responded quickly to my PMs and was a wonderful person to deal with. :)

    6. NEGATIVE

she committed to buy the FCS Volks body I am selling, asked me to wait days for the deposit because she said she was awaiting some payments. After one week I emailed her to ask when she'd start sending the money (after I agreed on making the layaway of 2 months to help her instead of one as stated in my thread).
she wrote back heckling about the price saying she found another body for less and that if i would lower my price she'd buy mine.

i have proof for what i'm saying, i always keep all my emails.

    7. Bought a ninodoll momo from caro. she was very kind to accept me sending concealed cash ^_^ and was very patient. thanks so much! the head arrived safely and quick! :3

    8. I bought a wig from Caro. Arrived quickly and in great condition. Thanks!

    9. I've bought a mohair wig to Caro, good communication, fast shipping. Item in good condition.
      Thanks !

    10. Caro contacted me about a doll I was selling on 11/29. She said she needed layaway (which I reluctantly agreed to) and also asked if I would include express shipping to Canada which amounts to giving her a $60 discount (which I did not agree to). She agreed and said she would send me a deposit of $150 as soon as she received the funds in her paypal. I never heard from her again. After a week of waiting with no response from Caro I sold the doll to someone else but that behavior is unacceptable.

I decided to post this after finding out that during the week that I was waiting for Caro to pay/respond she had PM'd two other members asking to buy their dolls. She even told one she would pay cash up front even when she had convinced me she needed layaway. Also, neither of those members ever heard back from her again either as far as I know.

This is bad business. Stringing people along like that is unfair and I will never transact with this member again.

    11. I'm one of the others who dealt with caro. After my experience, I find her to be very flaky. It may not seem like a serious incident on it's own, but naranjita and another DOA member had similar experiences with her. This should be a warning sign to other sellers. Caro may not be serious if she expresses interest in your doll.

Caro seemed very excited about buying my Ducan. She even said she could pay me in a few days, in full. She seemed happy and eager to buy my doll, and I was happy to have a potential buyer.

On my thread, I stated clearly that he was damaged. The damage could be seen in a couple of the pictures I posted. She asked for a close-up photo, I gave it to her, and she suddenly changed tone. She said "I don't want him anymore because of his neck." I don't understand why (since it was clearly documented in my thread) she would react so suddenly, with only one line of text.

With that, the sale was off.

She did similar things to other people at the same time, however. Expressed serious interest, and backed out after talking about payment. I'm starting to wonder if she's serious about buying anyone's dolls. I think she should think harder about PMing someone before she does. It gets people's hopes up, and it's rude.

    12. Neutral/Flake
I was third member she contacted.
She contacted me about buying my Juri'05 and told me she'd require a two month layaway but didn't get back to me again after I provided a shipping quote. I wouldn't usually mention this in a feedback thread but as she did it to two other members at the exact same time I thought it would be worth mentioning as it's clearly a very bad buying habit.

      Negative
I appologise for taking so long to post this negative but frankly there was too much of a bad taste in my mouth at the time.

I bought an Elf El from Caro in June and paid for what I was told would be express shipping only to find out a month later that it had been sent via surface mail. Needless to say I was very unimpressed with having being told I was expecting a 7 day wait but instead waiting 7 weeks for my doll to arrive.
Communication was lacking to say the least.

The paging thread from that transaction (and one from another member who she did the same too) that details what happened, can be found here: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=218867&highlight=Caro

I seriously advise avoiding any form of transaction with Caro

    13. I'm horribly late to this, but I'll state my case as concisely as I can.

On 5/21/2008, I PM'd Caro to purchase two pair of shoes from her. I paid immediately, and was told that the shoes would ship right away.

Early June, a paging thread goes up and I reference my purchase, being that my purchase was 10 days old at the time. I know Canada to US is slower, but this was the first worrying flag to come up.

Caro is adamant to others that things have shipped, ignoring my request for confirmation and any other information.

I finally get an email from her, with photos of the receipt... but after I had opened a Paypal dispute. She'd shipped 8 days after I paid, and had overcharged me on the shipping.

Those are my words from the paging thread. She continued to ignore my requests to refund the difference for shipping, and vehemently told me she was 'done with DoA' and 'wasn't returning.'

I never got my $4.97US back, but did get a few excuses: She didn't have a job, she had to drive an hour each way to the post office, this whole thing was stressing her out and everything was just unbearable... the usual old hat. (I don't need a life story in email. Just a ship date and a refund.)

      tl;dr?

I bought something from Caro, and 15 days from payment, it arrived with me overcharged and her full of excuses.

    14. Negative

Well after promising to buy my Mnf Chiwoo, giving her my Paypal address and her word that she'd send the money the next night, I got a pm that same night from her with some wishy-washy excuse for not wanting to buy him. Pretty much was a wishy washy "I changed my mind" sort of pm. I kindly asked her if she could give me a definate answer soon because I wasn't going to hold him without some sort of payment, but here it is almost a week later and 2 pms later and she has totally left me hanging. Seeing her recent feedback, easy to guess what happened. :sigh
