    1. [SIZE="-10"]I participated in a Fairyland group order run by Candy ( Pegapup ) to do a split with another participant and as always, the order went through smoothly and wonderfully. My Sleeping Seorin head was accidentally forgotten and she let me know right away, quick to fix the situation and she kept me updated all the way. My heads came well packaged and very quickly!

      She's very helpful and so friendly and I appreciate all the encouraging chats and helpful advice she gives me.

    16. I joined a Group Order for Cool Cat with Pegapup and was extremely displeased.

      Firstly, in Pegapup's defense, Cool Cat does not offer shipping rates before you place your order and pay for it, unless you request one, so she couldn't have known the shipping rates before hand, and I realize that. That is not the problem I had with the group order.

      Problem 1: She did NOT put up a Group participant list (I checked her other Group Order threads and found that she doesn't have a participant list in ANY of them) so none of us had any way of knowing how many people were in the group order, and when I (and one other person) requested in the thread to put up a list of participants (they weren't demands, they were polite nudges of reccommendation that she should put up a list) we were ignored and no list was put up. So there could have been five people, which would have made the shipping very expensive, or there could have been fifty people, which would mave made the shipping very cheap, but none of us had any idea, so we went into it having no idea what the shipping would be (something she mentioned in the thread, so we were all aware that we wouldn't know shipping until after we paid, and we couldn't back out). I purchased 34 dollars worth of items, a few pieces of stringing, a few Kips, and a few S-hooks.

      Problem 2: She did NOT confirm our orders. No 'Hey, I'm going to order tonight/tomorrow, is this the stuff you want? Do you need to change anything?'. Nothing like that, she simply invoiced us on Paypal. She PAID for the order through Cool Cat, then invoiced us, instead of confirming first, so if anyone wanted to change anything, we were completely unable, as the order was already made and paid for. She did offer to try to get someone else to cover my items, but I didn't want to make any problems, and figured I could just resell them, so I assured her it was no big deal that I had the extra items, but made it clear I was displeased that a Confirmation had not been sent out before she placed the order and paid for it.

      Problem 3: She picked the shipping from Cool Cat to her without consulting the group. EMS ($105) or Airmail ($75), and she decided, without consulting us, that she wanted the EMS shipping for $30 more. I paid about $8 for shipping (not sure of the exact amount, so I could be off) from Cool Cat to her. So by my calculations, there should have been about fourteen people in the group order, including Pegapup. That's taking into account Paypal fees, of course. But without a participant list, there's no way to know how many people were in the group order. There could have been 20 of us -- I plan to go back and count how many people in the thread sent her PMs and try to figure it out to see if she charged us appropriately for shipping, because it seemed shady to me that we had to pay so much.

      Problem 4: She did not let us choose if we wanted Priority or First Class when she sent out the items to us.
      "I've sent shipping invoices. I apologize for not getting them out to you sooner. I was not feeling very well on Friday and Saturday, so I was unable to get the packages finished!

      If you did not receive an invoice, please let me know. All packages will either go First Class package w/insurance and confirmation OR Priority w/insurance and confirmation.

      According to the weight and type of package (some items had to go in a box verses a padded envelope), I chose the least expensive way of shipping. If it was close (with in about $0.50), I chose priority on the boxes.

      Every package that has the shipping paid between now and Tuesday will go out on Wednesday. I have had last minute arrangements to be away all day Monday and returning some time on Tuesday. I will label all paid packages on Tuesday and get them in the mail first thing on Wednesday." -- straight from the Group Order.

      She charged me $6.50 to ship my package Priority Mail to me. Taking into account Paypal fees, that means my package should have cost about $5.50 to ship from her to me. She never sent me a PM to tell me that she was shipping it, only sent me an invoice, without letting me choose if I wanted Priority or First Class, but the Invoice said on it that she was sending it Priority Mail. I was confused as to why she'd send my package Priority when I was SURE that it wouldn't be expensive enough to be within $.50 of the $4.80 that it costs to ship a light weight Priority package. But I paid it anyway, because I just wanted my items.

      Problem 5: I got my package today. First class mail. She used an Ebay shipping label so that there was no amount on the package to say how much it cost her to ship it. So I took it to the post office and had them weigh it and send it to her address. It cost $2.70 to ship it to her from me. How is $2.70 within $.50 of $4.80? I don't understand. So she charged me $6.50 (paypal fees included) to ship me a $2.70 package, and she lied and said that she was sending it Priority Mail.

      I expect to get a refund for the shipping that I paid to her, to have it shipped Priority. $2.70 plus paypal fees is $3.09. She charged me $6.50 to ship it. So I would like a $3.41 refund (not a payment, as Paypal will take fees out then, I would like a refund) on this Group Order.

      Problem 6: I placed an order for Cool Cat for the exact items I got in this Group Order - I ended up paying (approximately, as I do not know the exact number I paid for shipping) $14 for shipping to get these items by joining this Group order. If I had bought these items direct from Cool Cat, on ebay, I would have only paid $12 and had them shipped directly to my house, instead of having to go through the trouble of a Group Order. I actually paid MORE to be on a Group Order than I would have paid to order alone. I imagine a lot of you people on this Order will find that you had the same thing happen to you.

      As I said before I am EXTREMELY displeased with the way this Group Order went, and would caution EVERYONE to NOT JOIN A GROUP ORDER WITH PEGAPUP. I do not trust that this Group Order was run as a Group Order should be.
       
    17. For those who care - here was my response to Vaith:

      "Vaith joined a group order that I did for Cool Cat. I am very sorry that she was displeased with how things ran. I explained in my first thread how the group order would run. Cool Cat, when ordering directly, does not allow for shipping total prior to placing the order. I explained that this group order is run differently from my other group orders right at the start.

      I confirm all group orders with the invoice that I send from paypal, so people do not have two invoices - one for the items and one for the shipping. With Cool Cat ONLY, it must come after the order is placed. This was explained.

      Past group orders, I have had people actually request that I NOT put their name on the list of participants. So I do not, as a habit, put up a list of participants. Now, if Vaith had explained to me that she would like to know how many participants were in the group order, in order to understand the shipping - that would have been a clear communication that I would have happily provided. There were 10 participants in the group order.

      In every other group order I have ever done, participants PM me every time they change their mind on what they want to order. Many PM me at least once a week with changes, and updates. I have no problem with that. If Vaith had wanted to change her order or cancel items, she was free to do so at anytime.

      I was sincere in my offer to either cancel the items with Cool Cat or to have someone else purchase them. It was her choice not to do so. It was no problem to me, or I would not have made the offer. She chose not to answer me to let me know either way.

      The shipping was indeed my mistake. I had anticipated that her package would have to be shipped priority, but it came up that it could be shipped first class, so I shipped it first class - with insurance AND delivery confirmation. Since I use paypal shipping service to print my labels, the postage does not show. According to the receipt, her package was $2.87 for postage, $1.70 for insurance, and $0.18 for Delivery confirmation. A total of $4.75. I did NOT charge anyone for the paypal fees on this, even though Paypal charges me 0.39% on EVERY payment that comes in.

      I have given Vaith a full and total refund on her shipping of $6.50. I apologize that I over estimated the shipping by $1.25. I try very hard not to do that. Usually I under estimate shipping and not only eat the paypal fee, but portions of the shipping as well.

      Group orders are a lot of work and never easy to do. I try to make everyone happy. Please remember this is a volunteer position, not a paid one. I do not make a living doing group orders - only to help people out.

      What Cool Cat sells on eBay is different and they work their pricing different than when you order from the site. It might be cheaper to order as an individual from eBay, but not from the site. I know, I've done both.

      Vaith's order was only $34.00, she paid $8.75 in shipping and $1.67 in paypal fees for her order.

      Yes, I did choose the higher shipping, and I paid the bulk of the extra. It was only an additional $3.00 per person for the faster shipping. I paid the rest of the additional since I choose it. 3-5 days verses 10-15 days. My experience has been that non-EMS shipping means longer in customs as well. And most folks want their items more quickly. I apologize if I assume that wrongly.

      Again, I have apologized to Vaith for the overestimation of shipping. I can send her a photocopy of the receipt if she would like. I have refunded her ENTIRE shipping amount. I am sorry that she did not feel that she could communicate with me her concerns, or take me up on my offer to cancel her unwanted items, or allow me to refund her money for them and take care of them myself

      The problem I see is a lack of communication. She posted in the group thread that she had PM'd me and I didn't respond. I never received her PM. I have only received two PM's from Vaith through this entire GO. Her initial PM, and the one today stating her unhappiness. I have saved all the PM's I've received for the current group orders, I rechecked and that was all I received.

      Unfortunately, Vaith felt that she had to bring these problems to the entire board before discussing them with me privately. It is not the way I would choose to do business with anyone.

      Again, I'm sorry she felt she had these issues, and many of them could have been solved with more direct communication.

      And I had thought about contacting you first and had decided that I would rather say what needed to be said, without interference first. I decided that I should write out what I felt first without having my mind changed by you (because I knew that after talking with you that I would have decided not to write anything at all) and I felt that it was important to let other people know that I don't find your Group Orders to be run the way a proper Group Order should be.

      I feel that if someone wanted their name kept private, you could easily do what everyone else does by writing "V----" and leaving it at that. It lets everyone else know that there is someone there taking that space, but that they will to remain annonymous, which is fine. But it makes everyone else feel more secure knowing who's in the order. I wasn't the only one who asked for a participant list, and you didn't reply to either of us.

      But it's done now and I'm glad that I wrote what I did, because I would have chickened out, like I said, and I felt it was important to be noted for other people.

      The threads cannot be erased and they cannot be changed, as you know.

      Having said that, there's nothing that can be done above it now. I also think I've said everything that I need to say, so you don't need to reply to this message.

    18. I participated in the Cool Cat Group Order. I ordered a pair of shoes and a wig. They were both shipped right away and packaged very well. Pegapup has always been great to deal with. I would definitely buy from her again and participate in her group order again. ^_^
       
    19. Got my CoolCat G.O. wig from Pegapup; as always, she has been superfast in shipping, & helpful/kindly in overlooking any errors on my part, not to mention going to the trouble to shepherd a G.O. to begin with.

      Thanks again, Pegapup! I look forward to our next dealings. Highly, highly, highly recommend: good prices, will work hard to get what you want if she doesn't already have it, & honest: will tell you the drawbacks of something if she knows of them.
