Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     9. I had a very poor transaction with Mendokusai and I would warn others against dealing with her face-up commission business.

      I sent Mendokusai two of my heads in late May of 2007. They arrived at her place in early June. Throughout the month there was no progress on the face ups despite that I had reminded her about the heads several times. She stated that her usual turn-around time was one to two weeks, but there has been no progress on my heads during the month of June, or July.

      By the end of July I had informed Mendokusai that I absolutely needed the heads back before a convention that I was attending on August the 17th. She promised several times to paint them on time and send them back in the beginning of August (two months after they had originally arrived at her place), but did not.

      A week before the convention I tried to contact her several times and I’ve gotten only a couple of hasty responses where she didn’t even try to explain herself or give me a reason as to why my heads were not painted during the two months that she’d had them.

      Eventually she did get around to mailing my heads back, but did not refund the payment that I had sent her in advance for the job, and claimed that she used it to cover return shipping. Needless to say, the heads did not arrive in time for the convention.

      In the end, I was out 45$ from the process, without anything to show for it. It cost me 25$ to ship the heads to her, and 20$ for the partial advanced payment for the face ups, which she did not even consider refunding.

      Over all, she was very unapologetic about the matter, did not try to resolve the problem at all, and claimed that ‘it was not her responsibility to mail back items upon request’. I am glad to have my heads back, though one of them has yellowed significantly and either have traces of even attempts at face ups.

      I had a very unpleasant experience, and I advice others to be weary of dealing with Mendokusai.

    10. I request that anybody reading this please keep in mind that there is more to the story, and that Mortelle's post is unfortunately laced with false information and misquotes. I am not the type of person who feels obligated to defend herself when faced with public flaming, but I will correct things that could possibly concern any future commissions...

      First I will start with the fact that this matter was resolved almost a month ago, and I am very displeased that it's getting dragged up again.

      In regards to the head yellowing, I don't see how that could be possible since I keep all commission heads out of sunlight.

      As for the money, I was not paid in full, as mentioned by Mortelle. I was given $20 through Paypal, and ended up paying over that for the return shipping.

      The misquote about returning the heads... my direct quote was "and while you might think it's my responsibility to pay to have somebody else's property mailed back to them upon request, you're incorrect." which was in response to her demanding that I pay out of my own pocket to send the heads back.

      As for being unapologetic and uncommunicative, these are both very much out of context. In the dealing between myself and Mortelle, it was not necessary for me to be the apologetic one (like I said, there is significantly more to the story). I also do my best to keep communication active, and to put to rest any worries or concerns with any of my commissions. I understand that these dolls create strong emotional ties.

      While this might be a hobby, I do my best to be professional and businesslike in my dealings.
