1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Figuring out what doll size suits you.

Jan 15, 2012

    1. For me it seems like the bigger and heavier the better. :/

    2. I love all the different sizes.
When I first entered the hobby I swore I'd never own a tiny or Yosd size; however, tinies now outnumber my other dolls by almost 3:1, which doesn't sound like much but it is.

I finally fell into tinies for several reasons. One reason being transportability. Another being that I find better company and far less sexual content with the tinies.

    3. When I started, I was SWORN to the bigger dolls. And though I dabbled in tinies, nothing stuck like the big boys did. Fast forward almost 6 years and I have 3 SDs, 2 pukifees, and 82-BAJILLION minis. I swear they're climbing out of the woodwork. And I previously swore I'd never have a mini, and when I tried them, I just didn't like them. Now I can't get enough. I think it helped that I was able to purchase 2 dream dolls of mine, an unoa sist boy I've long admired, and a juri 08 who was too cute for words. And having those helped me open the flood gates to mini-pocalypse over here.

My best advice is to never say never. If there's a doll that you can't stop thinking about or looking at and it's a different size, just..it a shot. Every doll is a learning experience.

    4. When I first started the hobby there weren't as many doll companies nor doll sizes... So I wanted to try a MSD size first (my Haneul) to get a feel.. Later on I got my pukifee Ante which I ADORE! Their size is sooooo cute and handle-able and I can easily get accessories/props/clothes etc! *end rant* I have another pukifee (a pio who will be my first boy~) on the way too!

I'm planning to get a yo-sd size later on as well, as I think the tiny sizes are just so adorable and a nice size to handle and pose!

    5. In the end I like all sizes but if i would think through my profession (seamstress) I think I would choose SD. It is easier to sew in that size but MSD is (I think) more popular size so more customers. But I would love to have Tiny size doll (I have MSD). Tiny size dolls are easier to keep with and they fit in smaller space.

    6. I'd love to say I like all sizes but it's just not true. I've been in this hobby 5-6 years now and I've bought dolls of every shape and size. And after all that trial and error, I discovered I like 60cm girls, 70cm boys and dislike MSD sizes ( oh how hard I have tried to like MSDs). And for some reason, really enjoy Luts Zuzus. Those are the only tiny sized ones I like. So...go figure. I don't know why, those are just the sizes I like.

    7. When I started I decided I wanted an MSD and that was that, then I decided I wanted more than one doll, I decided I'd stick to MSDs and maybe buy a Yosd and/or SD in the future. Not I have a few MSDs, but I have my eye on a Yosd, a (20cm) Pocketfairy and a 68cm Doll chateau youth doll! Who knows what direction I'll go in!!

    8. When I started the hobby size was the first thing I thought about. I didn't want something small, and of course I didn't want to start off with something huge too. So I decided to start off with the MSD size. It'll save on space and I wouldn't have to rearrange everything like I would a larger doll.
