1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Temporarily sewing their lips shut and setting them on pikes around your room could be fun. Given their size, you could tell everyone they're the shrunken heads of those who've crossed you before. I know I've certainly got enough disembodied heads at the moment to feel a bit like a head-hunter myself....:sneaky Or hey, you could even string them on a tribal necklace! Along with any other doll limbs you might have lying around! :XD:

Undel, that squid doll is the greatest thing I've ever seen. Ever. *o*

    2. Undel, that squid is great! I think I'm going to have to try that process, now that I have the floating head problem... ^_^

So far, I've just been throwing the extra heads in with the full dolls in their carrying case. Then, when I put the head out for folk to see, I just have my tinies hold him. Not creative at all, but it works.
...gotta try the sculpy thing. ^_^

    3. I don't know whose idea is funnier, Silvertongue's or Undel's. Squid-head? Bwahah, a fantastic idea for a photo-story! :XD:

So is the head-on-a-stick idea.... >:]

    4. Here's one way:

And another: (candle holder shaped like a rabbit holding a tray)

    5. :XD: Those are fantastic. I love the hoodie utilization!

    6. I'd put a floating head in a clear handbag... The creepiness factor of someone looking over into your handbag, seeing a pack of tissues, a few bucks, some candy, cell phone, and a head would be AWEOMSE

    7. These are funny suggestions. But what I am going to have to do, because I have no self control it seems, is make sculpy necks and use cloth bodies or amatures, so that they can at least have some diginity. And they can wear their clothes, even if they look a little lumpy. :( I swore to myself that I would have no floating heads a fe months ago when I sold all mine.... :doh

    8. I got a small picnic basket at a craftstore. I think it's supposed to be for American Girl-sized dolls. But I happened to pop Random's head in there one day and amazingly it fit very well. And it was safe since the basket was wooden, not easily smashed. So I kept him in there for transporting to friends' houses and cons. My friend was a little disturbed to learn that I was carrying around a disembodied head in a picnic basket. XD He's a mini though, so I doubt an SD sized head would fit.

Less creative but more practical, I have a plain drawstring bag that I got at Target for a buck (hooray cheapo prom "supplies") that is bigger (it carries a mini head and various body parts :D ) The bag is "padded" enough that I feel safe tossing it into my purse or in the doll carrier. Plus it's pretty so that's a plus!

    9. OK, I just wonder how many floating heads you have around at home?
or, how many dolls you have who share the same body? (And how you get it to work, so that no one are left behind)

Pleas lets talk floating heads :)

    10. I have 3.. Peroth, dreaming moon, and vampire breakaway.
They don't share bodies with anyone at the moment as I don't like rotating bodies. I don't plan on getting bodies for the last two, but at some point, they're each going to have to get bodies.

    11. damn you are lucky, i would give my right leg for a breakaway!

    12. I have 2; a DZ Recall head and a Volks Tony head. XD

Recall is in a box as waiting to be rehomed (I'd won him in the Dollzone contest, but can't seem to bond with him, hence never getting a body for him), and Tony, poor Tony! I'm going to be working on his faceup over the weekend, and am searching for a SD13 body for him - I want him whole!

I don't think I can handle body sharing between dolls I own (and like). I love to see them around in my room, and floating heads just don't have the same appeal..... ;)

    13. I have 2... I made them cloth bodies, but I'm not very happy with them, it's just not the same.

    14. I have:
      1. Elf El Vampire
      2. Elf Lishe (My Juri has taken her body!)
      3. Elf Lishe Dreaming
      4. Elf Lishe Vampire
      5. Elf Yder Vampire

So far I have not been swapping bodies, aside from my Juri taking my Elf Lishe's body. I will probably swap them a bit in the future, since I don't think I'll have bodies for all of them!

So far I have 2 CP boy bodies for 4 heads and only 1 CP girl body for 4 heads. I've been considering getting another CP girl body... That would help some of my poor heads to become a whole doll for a bit more time! I'd like to have bodies for them all, but I doubt this will happen. That's just WAY too many dolls for me to handle (and to pay for!). *_*

Oh, I forgot--I'll soon have a 6th Floating Head!!! I'm doing the makeup class at the L.A. Dolpa, so I bought the School Head A!

Ack! TOO MANY HEADS!!! I've only bought 2 heads, though... the rest came with my CP Elf dolls... *sigh* *_*

    15. Only two... which is an all-time low for Turtle House.

Daisy, my DH Soo, is currenlty on a cloth body. I want a non-mature, Type 1 CP girl bod for her, eventually.

Bhalla, a BW Nanuri '06 lion demon, is my practice head. He stays on a resin bust, and will probably never have a bod of his own.

    16. Right now I have one which is unusual for me. I just don't do floating heads, it's either a whole doll or nothing for me. Whenever I get a set with an extra head I have to sell it. I don't understand why I'm that way but I think bodiless heads sort of creep me out.

    17. i've had a floating head (an obitsu gretel) for about a year now...
i originally had plans to make a whole obitsu doll, but then i later decided not to finish the project.

now the obitsu head i'll probably just use to practice face-ups on :atremblin

    18. I have 7 heads floating. They share bodies but they have to change clothes. I will buy bodies eventually.
