Floating heads - How do you treat it when it's JUST a head?

I don't have any single head I don't like changing bodies, I prefer to save a bit longer and have the entire doll
I'm also a bit scared of touching the BJDs strings

 

I have two, a modded V2 Hound and a modded Dollmore Bonnie. For now they share bodies with another Dollshe boy and Model girl. But perhaps, down the road they will get their own bodies.

I had a floating head. I loved the head.. but i didnt like having a floating head D;
so i ended up selling her. It was just feeling like "ugg.. what can i do with a heaaad?" lol

I like to buy whole dolls... or at least get the parts at similar times xD

 

I have 2 at the moment, (Iplehouse Dreaming Lion and a Dollinian). I don't think I could ever do the 'sharing body' thing. I'd rather they were just heads until I can get them bodies of their own.

 

I have currently three.
-Kyle: Ns Chiwoo open-eyed elf (which finally, after months, I am currently paying off a body so he won't be a floating head much longer! Yay! )
-Valentin Nikolai: NS Angelo (he is the older less pink resin)
-Tempest: NS Migidoll Miho (brand spanking new, sort of speak! ^-^ )

I'd like to get bodies for all of them that they don't have to share. Sharing is a problem as they all have very different resin matches. I sort of wished the resin matched on at least two, so I they could share.

I usually buy just a head if I think that I won't be able to get one later when the price goes up (and also crazy about them ). The Angelo at the time was a limited when I bought him but now is not a limited mold. *shrugs* I still love him though and hope to find the right body for him one day.

I personally don't like "floating heads". And swore that I wouldn't buy another one after Angelo. I prefer whole dolls but sometimes it happens. Kyle (Chiwoo elf) I fell in love with just like that and had to have him, but at the time could only afford a head, because I had just ordered a full doll and paid for him. Ugh! Timing is everything sometimes.

I am down to one floating Leeke Luke head. I will use him for face-up practice for awhile. It used to drive me crazy when there were more. I felt SUCH a need to complete them being a fanatic about "completeness".

 

I have two, nanuri 07 and a dreaming shiwoo.
I'm planning on selling my nanuri though since we're not really bonding.
I do plan for my dreaming Shiwoo to get his own body one day, but for now he'll be sharing since I don't have the money to spend on him, and theres other dolls I want more first. ^^
I don't like having to share bodies that much, since I love having my dolls up on display at all times, and I hate having to decide who's going to be on the body.

 

I have one floating head, who currently shares a body with my Cecile, but luckily I'll be able to get a body for him very soon(as in, ordering it next week). I don't like floating heads at all and my Cecile's body doesn't suit my Seimei at all, it's much too floppy and chubby for him. But for the sake of bonding, I do want to see him on a body every now and then. I wouldn't get a head with the intent to 'one day' get a body for it-tried that with my Gomidoll Iru's and ended up selling them both. I knew I could get my Seimei's body soon. I'd rather miss out on the initial sale of a doll, hunt it down later and get it complete at one time(even if it's at a heftier price tag)than having bodyless heads, it's a killer for bonding for me.

 

My Kill_U, Namu and Juri 07 A are all sharing the one body at the moment. They were all given to me as xmas gifts from friends so it was all a bit unexpected! I'm hoping to be able to afford bodies for them soon, because I don't like to see them just sitting on my shelf, and deciding who gets the body for today.

I think Dion is going into storage though =/ I can't bare to sell him until his character has a new doll host.

And it looks like their maybe a new floating head on it's way XD;;; A rereleased Breakaway... lol

 

I've great friends. The times I had a floating head (Karon, Peroth), they were only such for less than a week.
I have a rabbit candle holder that holds heads while they're waiting for a body.

 

Earlier this month, I got a pair of Shiwoo Elf heads, both of whom want to be girls. Between saving up to move house, getting a computer upgrade, commissioning faceups for both of them and so on, these two are going to be bodiless for quite a while. So, I was wondering, what's the longest time for which a doll of yours was just a rolling head?

 

I'm going to have a few floating heads D:
My Bada head, once I figure out how to use paypal --poor seller-- and my future Kai Minimee head~ And since I REALLY want all three Puki, I'm going to have to wait to give the two heads bodies~ Though I might be able to make the Puki-team a 16th Birthday Present xD Besides, all three for me would cost the same amount as my first doll~

But first, I must worry about getting Paypal to work D:​

Leeke Min is the real floating head amongst my crew ^^; None of the bodies that I have can fit him. And I'll have a new head coming soon, I suppose he'll go to the SD10 body.

 

I try to keep it to a minimum! Right now only one, VDES which is going to get a B&G boy body at some point. I no sooner completed my Dreaming Igon (bought him a body) when he went up for sale! (Those DIM Benitia's stole my soul!). I've had more floating heads at other times though.

Now what about floating bodies??? Anyone ever build up a stockpile of bods? That's my goal!

 

So a few heads gained bodies (Bambicrony elf Lotti and elf Sisley) but then they got sold. Now I'm waiting on a white Jury B, I have an Elfdoll Rem Mir that sits on an elf doll bust, and I have a floating Obitsu that has haunted me forever. I also have a floating rem Ryung that has been modified...

 

Two at the moment, one UmPyo and one School C. I've been planning to get both their own bodies sometime this year

 

I have a Nanuri 07 that should be getting a body in a couple of months. He's still in the box he was shipped in. >.>
