    1. Both of my girls are just heads and I do kind of think of them as part of my doll family. Though, when I talk about my dolls I only tend to mention my two complete boys. The girls have names, face-ups, wigs, and really basic personalities, but I feel that their characters won't really develop until they get bodies. So, for now, they sit side by side on the doll bed with plushies and my boys' clothes.

    2. WHY HELLO THERE XD

      well anyway

ano came with his second sleeping head, and i guess he would be part of the *coughonedollhack* family because i've come to veiw ano as being in both heads with one body, so he'll probibly end up having his heads being constantly switched out, i wouldnt dare get him another body because then it would be like, another doll, wich .. he isnt D: its hard to explain
on the flip side, i dont think i could ever get another head and come to see it as ano, even if its an exact duplicate, it would probibly evolve into a whole nother character (yochi! /die)

      so yeah, s' complicated

    3. With me it depends. Luka is just a head, and due to the holidays in Europe, he had eyes and a wig before he got here, so he's been sitting on a spindle of CD-Rs since he got here. He was on the sewing table, but now he sits on the endtable by my side of the couch. I have a personality for him, but it might change.

Shadow is more just a head. He's still in his airmail box. I took him out to look at him, but he's blank, unmodded (he's a Yder vamp) so he just doesn't have any spark in him.

(Actually I started spending time with Luka to creep my boyfriend out, since he's in the living room...but I've tried to spend time with him.)

    4. I only had 1 doll arrive as a head, but I did consider him part of the family right away. He couldn't speak since he had no voice and was in a sleep-like state ... but still he rested comfortable on a pillow in a few of my stories (and was always on display on my shelf until he finally 'grew' his body).

    5. I am sorry but this is a riot!!!!!!!!!!!

    6. I consider my whole doll a part of the family and I try to convince everyone that he is too.

      Just like my dog.

    7. As soon as I've given a head her face-up, it's an official member of the Horde.

    8. I had a few fun questions about heads that don't have bodies yet. ^o^;

      1. Does he/she ever creep you out? "OMG DECAPITATION EEEEK!!!!!11"

      2. What do you DO with him/her while they're bodyless?

      3. Do you take pictures of him/her while bodyless?

      4. Do you think a doll's personality lies more in the head, or the body?

      5. Do you give him/her faceups more often than your other doll(s), if so then why?

      6. What does he/she plan to be for halloween with no body?! >XDD

      For my answers:

      1. No, but my mom will literally walk into my room, pluck Karrian off the pillow on my bed and go "EW CREEPY", set him down again and leave the room. XDD

      2. Um. About 50% of the time, he just gets carried around the house with my other two boys and we watch TV and such. The other 50% of the time, he sits on my bed. xD

      3. Occasionally, probably will more now that he has his wig.

      4. The head, definitely. ^3o;;

      5. Not really. Mostly because I find it easier to faceup an SD sized head, and the faceups turn out alot better and I'm happy with them. xD

      6. I'm not sure yet! XDD

    9. I have two poor bodiless heads, here are my answers
      1. No, but sometimes I get the feeling that Shen Man is angry at his sitsuation..

      2. Sometimes I use my other dolls bodies and take pictures of them, but otherwise they sit on my doll shelf

      3. Only usually when they are on a body

      4. I think the personality lies in the head. Usually you identify a person by their face, and not by their foot or elbow or something.

      5. No. I painted them once and like how they look.

      6. They probably wont be anything, the same goes for my regular dolls as well....

    10. I've got to disembodied heads.

      1. Does he/she ever creep you out? "OMG DECAPITATION EEEEK!!!!!11"

Before I got them, I found floating heads incredibly creepy. I was convinced mine would sit in a box that was never opened until I had bodies.

I however discovered this was an incredibly silly notion. They are my boys, evven if they're just heads and I couldnt bear locking them in a box. They have their eyes and their wigs and temp face ups for now, and I love them.

      2. What do you DO with him/her while they're bodyless?

Not too much, they do go to meets. They usually sit on the couch with my [and my roomies] full bodied dolls, right now, both girls are each holding a head XD

      3. Do you take pictures of him/her while bodyless?

I take pics of the face ups for critique, beyond that, no.

      4. Do you think a doll's personality lies more in the head, or the body?

Deffinitely in the head. They cant do the things they would normally do obviously, but they are still the same character I made them

      5. Do you give him/her faceups more often than your other doll(s), if so then why?

Only because neither of them have sealed face ups.

      6. What does he/she plan to be for halloween with no body?! >XDD

none of my dolls are currently planning anything for halloween

    11. My husband jokes about living in the Futurama head museum. :D

      1. Does he/she ever creep you out? "OMG DECAPITATION EEEEK!!!!!11"

Never. I think floating heads are kind'a cute. ^_^
BSR, on the other hand, gets a little unnerved if they sit around without hair or eyes... So I keep them sitting on bottles, with their proper eyes in and wigs on.

      2. What do you DO with him/her while they're bodyless?

They're out here with the rest of the crew, sitting on their bottles, being cute and resiny.

      3. Do you take pictures of him/her while bodyless?

I don't take pictures of them without bods, but there are enough other dolls here that they can body-swap when I want to play with them properly. :D

      4. Do you think a doll's personality lies more in the head, or the body?

Definitly the head. Bods are just... generic to me, most of the time. Unless its a bod that has some sort of feature that makes it unique, like Tien Jen's odd posing or scars or tattoos, they're more or less interchangable. Heads, on the other hand, are unique.

      5. Do you give him/her faceups more often than your other doll(s), if so then why?

No. My guys don't get their face-ups redone unless they really need it for some reason, bod-less or not.

      6. What does he/she plan to be for halloween with no body?! >XDD

Hopefully William Adolphus will have a bod by Halloween... He's vampire, so he doesn't really need a costume. Falcon, Shakti and Sparrow don't have any plans. ^_^

    12. I can answer these about my Juri-boy head I have lying around:

      1. Does he/she ever creep you out? "OMG DECAPITATION EEEEK!!!!!11"
No, not really. Then again, the personality that's going to live in him some day is so sweet, I couldn't be creeped out by anything about him if I tried.

      2. What do you DO with him/her while they're bodyless?
I don't actually do much with him at all. He's safely stored away at the moment, somewhere soft and out of the sun.

      3. Do you take pictures of him/her while bodyless?
I've taken one photo, just to show off the eye-shape mods I did to him. But he's a bodyless, eyeless, hairless head with no faceup at present, and I can't imagine many people would be interested in seeing that.

      4. Do you think a doll's personality lies more in the head, or the body?
Hmm, I'm going to go for something different here and say: neither. I really do think it lies in the faceup, most of all. If Li had a proper faceup I'd feel more obliged to keep him out and treat him as a 'real' doll, somehow... without his faceup it's as though he's sleeping, as though the character's there in potential but not yet realised.

      5. Do you give him/her faceups more often than your other doll(s), if so then why?
Well, to say the only faceup I've ever done was on him (and then quickly wiped), that would be a yes :) I suppose it's because it's not a permanent thing I wasn't afraid to give it a go, and since he didn't have a faceup at the time it wasn't like I was destroying anything there previously.

    13. 1. Does he/she ever creep you out? "OMG DECAPITATION EEEEK!!!!!11"

nope, because without the body it is almost "just a head", even if it is so-and-so's head without the body/hair/eyes it is just still their head, not them....

      2. What do you DO with him/her while they're bodyless?

Shelf time! usually among my hubby's Mc Farlane twisted Fairy Tales figures

      3. Do you take pictures of him/her while bodyless?

No...not unless it is a photo of a head, it is not the "doll" unless it is complete

      4. Do you think a doll's personality lies more in the head, or the body?

the whole thing...I have one doll that needed the proper eyes before he "became" two that needed the right body....one that needed the right head....

      5. Do you give him/her faceups more often than your other doll(s), if so then why?

nope, cos once the face is right it is right....

      6. What does he/she plan to be for halloween with no body?! >XDD

it got a spare body (allbeit wrong gender) last week, so it is going in drag...

    14. We've got a bodiless head who is perfectly happy as long as she has a wig on. She also is "caretaking" a set of hands, which look pretty lifelike positioned in front of her glue bottle - it's like the rest of her is just invisible / part ghostly. :).

    15. 1. Does he/she ever creep you out? "OMG DECAPITATION EEEEK!!!!!11"
nope!we even gave her a nickname(Nukikins!)and a personality till it becomes Haruka

      2. What do you DO with him/her while they're bodyless?
We put the head on a tiny pink giraffe(pulled giraffe head through neckhole)and its our other dolls' "pet"
      3. Do you take pictures of him/her while bodyless?not yet...got a ridiculous photostory planned though with Nukikins saving the day(with a rubber chicken body)

      4. Do you think a doll's personality lies more in the head, or the body?
definately in the head...I could replace the body but it will never be the same character for me without the same head

      5. Do you give him/her faceups more often than your other doll(s), if so then why?nope...coated it once, started a faceup, cleaned it up,left it blank

      6. What does he/she plan to be for halloween with no body?! >XDD
ummm...Nukikins will be Super Nukikins with a chicken body,a red cape and a mask painted on

We're not strange I swear!!But is it really weird to bond with a floating head with no face no eyes and a pink giraffe body??I hate having a head in a drawer so we had to do something!

    16. What do you DO with him/her while they're bodyless?

      I don't have a bodiless head...
Though if I had one I'd probably hang it up with a very long wig....
      Flying head :)

    17. 1. Does he/she ever creep you out? "OMG DECAPITATION EEEEK!!!!!11"

no...not really. It's just resin. To me, that's no different, then when someone calls our dolls creepy. It's just resin. How's it creepy?

      2. What do you DO with him/her while they're bodyless?

Usually, they dont' have a name till they are complete.

      3. Do you take pictures of him/her while bodyless?

Not usually, unless its for some work i've done on the head, or i'm using it to model a hat or something, or maybe eyes.
      4. Do you think a doll's personality lies more in the head, or the body?

i think the personality emminates from within the doll...not so much in one physical attribute.

      5. Do you give him/her faceups more often than your other doll(s), if so then why?

I don't really do face-ups...i'm too scared to try...altho, i've been tossing around the idea lately, since i got the free Nanuri head, and no one wants to buy it from me. LOL

      6. What does he/she plan to be for halloween with no body?! >XDD

I don't really do anything with bodiless heads. They go in a doll box, and stay their till it's their time to be on a body LOL

    18. 1) Nomi's head's nore really creepy...I like looking at him actually.
      2) He usually sits in a half open box on top of the dolly dawars peeking out and watching us! o.0
      3) I've only take one just to show people what I modifyed on his face-up
      4) BOTH! they arent a real "person" without body..but the base of the personality comes form all the thing that make a BJD head (wig, eyes, face-up & head)
      5) Nope, I don't really change face-ups...just tweak them.
      6) *Shrug* maybe I'll but him on a silver platter in Bailey's lap while they watch tricker treaters from the window. ^_^

    19. 1. Does he/she ever creep you out? "OMG DECAPITATION EEEEK!!!!!11"

Toby is always creepy. But for the fact that he is a head, no. Just depressing. XD

      2. What do you DO with him/her while they're bodyless?
I leave him tucked away safely. Well, no, sometimes he gets taken out for kissies.

      3. Do you take pictures of him/her while bodyless?
Just of his faceup and stuff - photostories with headless dolls that still convey the character creeps me out. x3

      4. Do you think a doll's personality lies more in the head, or the body?
In the combination. Toby is a breakaway, but he would not be right if he were on a souldoll body. Just as he could be any other head on a CP body; would not be right.

      5. Do you give him/her faceups more often than your other doll(s), if so then why?
Just one. But it's gonna be the only one I'll do, probably.. Mittens has had three. The last, being a professional.

      6. What does he/she plan to be for halloween with no body?! >XDD
A headless doll. Scares my mum, I know. XD

    20. heh...they just hang out like my other dolls. honestly...i think about 90 percent of the personality is the head if not the full 100.
