Freakstyle Mini Girls- Salome and Eve

I've been kinda behind on the creative compared to what I used to lately, so it's good to get some sewing done when I can. I'm lucky the walls and floors here are pretty soundproof. Or actually; I don't know if the floor is soundproof as I live on the top floor, but I haven't had any complaints from downstairs so I assume it is It's pretty chill tbh.

 

Loving that wig! And that's such a nice shot. The light is warm and she looks contemplative but happy.

I seem to have tradition to take her out for (at least) one winter shoot. But her colors fit so nicely with bleak wintery nature.

 

Ahh, thank you so much I'm so happy the wig came out good when I made it ahah... I don't have anything left of that fiber. It's one of the simpler wigs I've made in a while.

She_Flame, she is so gorgeous! I loved your whole winter shoot, but I think that might be one of the prettiest photos

 

@she_flame She does look great in the cold outdoors! It's the perfect setting for her. She looks like she lives close to nature.

@WinonaFlammery Wow, you made it?! It looks terrific! The only "hair" I can manipulate is fake fur, but one of these days, I do hope to try my hand at making a wig like that one. It's gorgeous.

 

I love there making larger dolls. She's really beautiful.

 

@aernath Tashinka actually is living close to the nature. She's kind of hunter/fisher/gatherer in a primitive-ish village.

 

Thanks Yeah, I prefer making wigs, unless they're really simple. I prefer using suri alpaca, and it's kinda expensive (most good long fibres for doll hair is tbh), so simple wigs are often cheaper to buy, but it's hard to find nice curly wigs that aren't too floofy (it's hard finding curly wigs period, except for mohair wigs), so then I prefer to make it. At least it takes less time than my braided ones xD
Ooh, you should try it! It's basically just glueing, so it's super easy. There are a couple of good tutorials out there, but I'm thinking of doing one myself too, sometime.

 

I'm in the middle of the exam period (I haven't had any yet, but I have exams on the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th, so I'm vigorously studying for that), but I took a small break to make sure Nivah has a holiday dress. My other dolls doesn't have any, but Niv is by far my most glamorous girl so she surely needs one. I had this green I started long ago so I finally finished that, made her a pearl necklace and pulled her hair back. So now she's all ready for a huge party.

Well, such is life when you're waiting for something advanced. But they really look like they're worth waiting for, those wigs, so she'll be great when she finally comes home again

 

Oooo wow! That's a gorgeous dress, and she looks wonderful in it! The necklaces are perfect - I know those must be seed beads (tiny!).

I don't photograph Yona much at all, but she's been sitting at my shelf looking like a woman from a renaissance painting so I just had to snap a few photos (especially since I use photography to procrastinate on school work, house work and crafting projects). In this wig I honestly don't even want to clothe her, she just looks too good like this.

 

She really does! That's the perfect wig for her! Gorgeous color!

To make a longer story short, I succumbed to my urge to get a pirate doll
