    1. I saw Fukadoll’s 1/3 dolls and couldn’t find a discussion for them so I decided to make one! Looks like they are a new company and that currently they are having what seems to be their first preorder.
      I like all of their head sculpts but Liujia stole my heart instantly!

    2. Just as a heads up, the mods might lock this thread while they review FukaDoll for topicality. But in the meantime, I’ve noticed them too. I think they look really good and I’ve pre-ordered LingLuo! It’s wonderful to be in time to catch the launch event on TaoBao and take advantage of the discounts and extras included . :dance I love seeing more resin 1:3 anime/manga type dolls coming onto the market. I like the style a lot but not enough to get a vinyl doll as a matter of material and construction preference.

      Linglou is gorgeous! I also really like that there are more anime styled options, I don’t own resin BJD yet but I do own vinyl and they’re really fun but its nice to try something new!

Certainly I am pretty excited. :abambi: Benefits of the preorder include a 300 yuan discount on the full doll, the complete set of the optional magnetic hands, a pair of high heel feet, a carrying bag, free in-China express shipping, and there’s the possibility of buying additional chests and heads. I think I’m going to get an additional head because I have noticed something I’d like to modify on the LingLuo sculpt. :sweat That’s one of the things I like about resin, it’s not all that difficult to modify.

      I’ll have to reserve judgement until she arrives obvs, but something about her upper lip is bothering me. There’s not much definition or detail in the whole of that area so it looks kind of swollen and strange to my eye. :nowords: It may very well be one of those things which can be corrected through a face-up alone with no need to get the sandpaper out, but I’ll see.

    9. I also thought that upper lip looked strange! Imo the promo pictures with the faceup made it look alright but on its own it's definitely not quite right.
      If you do decide to mod it I hope it goes well! I'd love to see if you ever want to share photos! :3nodding:

My doll itself isn’t ready yet, but FukaDoll have already sent out a sort of proof of purchase/deposit card, a teacup/saucer/spoon set which appears to be a preordering gift, and possibly also the nightgown I bought too! (I can’t quite tell from the photo my forwarder sent.) I’ve got my fingers crossed that they’ll manage to make it to me before Christmas, but really I’ll be very happy for them to not get lost in the holiday season post.:eusa_pray

      I ordered LingLuo through a proxy so I assume it'll take longer, but I'm excited to see everyone's girls start rolling in.

FukaDoll has posted notifications about order fulfilment starting today and I’ve been asked to verify my shipping address so it looks like my LingLuo might be on her way sooner rather than later, though she’ll have to make a stopover at my forwarder first. Still, that’s pretty exciting! :dance

    15. Just received mine! I think the tan color is similar to DD tan but I will have to properly compare later.

      I am used to vinyl dolls so I don’t know if this is personal bias but I was really shocked by how strong the resin smell is so I’m letting my doll air out for the time being.

      Otherwise I’m really happy, the sculpting is gorgeous!

    17. Hi! Sorry, for the late reply and for the lack of photos, I want to wait until there is nicer lighting.

      I can now confirm that DD tan and Fukadoll tan are a great match! They pretty much look identical to me! I also found that Fukadoll Normal matches DD normal/flesh pretty well but has a slightly more rosy undertone.

    19. That makes sense! I was thinking that as well :D I saw your photos and I thought your SW Lingluo looked similar to DD SW since it has that brighter pink undertone
      I wonder if Fukadoll intended on their dolls being hybrid-able with DD. Quite a few resin anime BJD artists/companies aim for that like Shoushoudoll and SqLab
