Gore/Guro Dolls

Aug 21, 2025

    1. As someone who loves horror and Halloween as well as goth and dark things I was curious to see what Gore/guro dolls people have or have seen on Pinterest, google, YouTube or something. And while the typical gore/Guro is fine, I'm really curious to see if anyone has gone in more of a unconventional gore route. By unconventional i mean like plant gore, sparkle gore, candy gore, plush gore, pastel gore and other interesting types of gore. This also includes Gurokawa dolls and dolls with stitches and any gore mods/sculpts. Also includes Gore/guro dolls & molds from any doll lines/brands.

      Can also include dolls with fantasy/unusual skin tones. This is just to help me with ideas for my own future doll projects. If anyone can mention any other artists/customizers that do gore dolls they know besides Elfgutz,onegreyelephant and Sadomina that would be great too.

    2. Maybe Trey Gegenfu. I don't remember exactly what this genre is called, but they're artists who create puppets with personalities that are a mix of mechanics and gore. And a recent discovery, China's AfterLife (来生). I can't seem to find them on Instagram, they are active on rednote, a Chinese social network.
      And, specific pieces, but plant gore reminds me of one of DZ's older pieces, Lovers (tarot series), and the phoenix from popodoll. I have one of the phoenixes myself, and I thought it was charming plant gore, with half of the face being a skull, but with flower and foliage sculpting. There was also Pathos Tale that made these style dolls, but I think they've been out of business for a few years now. You can check out their Twitter account for pictures.

    3. Some dolls that get into the “gore” vibe are from Miracle Doll. Especially Spectre.
      Ringdoll sometimes does it too with their zombie or frankenstein-style dolls. You can also check their Baldwin mold.

    4. I'm an artist who does gore mods and faceups. Well, more so in the past, but I've been trying to get back into this style lately as it's something I enjoy doing a lot.

      I do more typical gore, but I've seen older project journals of plant-gore modifications on here, like This one for example that I thought was super cool and inspirational and I'd love to attempt something on this scale one day.
      So far I've been doing wounds, burns, and I have a doll with mushrooms growing out of an eye-socket, but he's pretty tame compared to other gore mods. I'm not even sure if he counts as gore at all, hahah.

      I'm not trying to self-promote under here though. :XD:

    5. As far as sculpts that came with stitches, maybe Glorydoll's Goth Lucy/Louis, Karl/Karin, Mitsuki/Miyuki are worth checking out.
      Here's a link to an archived sale page since the company is no longer in business.

    6. There is UK based doll shop Dolce Luce, which sells a few horror and gore themed brands such as Acid Dinosaur and Spirit Fetus (just at the top of my head). They also sell eyes from Xiaopizaizi, which are often specifically plant gore.

    7. I was going to say, Zombie Sol lives rent free in my head. I wish so bad I had him ;0;
