1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I've never really had a "problem" with people's whatever passion/hobbies. I consider them a healthy part of imaginative existance in our, mostly, dull life, filled with routine and duties. It is a good thing people find a way to breakaway form ordinary life. I can't force myself into judging what is weird and what not, as people find fun and pleasure in many activities. Dolls are just one of them.

But, since collecting dolls, I have witnessed far more INTOLERANCE towards people and their hobbies. Not within the community itself, but I have somehow became more focused on how people perceive different things. And this is also where I noticed that people tend to try hard to be tolerant about dolls (and other rare hobbie), but then seem to have limits of trying to understand others and become judgemental.

    2. I voted yes, I definitely think being in the doll trade has given me a different perspective on many things and toleration of other niche hobbies. I was already into model cars and display foods so I'm just a weird person when I started keeping dolls around people were really receptive of it, luckily. :)

    3. My rule to go by for anything is as follows:
"If it doesn't hurt people or affect anyone negatively, do whatever you want."
In the end, a hobby doesn't (shouldn't) make anyone uncomfortable or feel bad about themselves or such. Like with furries, for example. I couldn't care less what they do with their hobby because it makes them happy and doesn't effect me in any way.

    4. Dolls didn't make me weird, I was born this way  so no dolls didn't affect my tolerance for anything. I may raise my eyebrow at certain hobbies but I would never laugh at or condone them being hurt or bullied.

    5. No, not really because I have a pretty high tolerance for other people's hobbies. I may not be interested in those hobbies, however I'm not going to bash those people for having weird hobbies. If you're not harming anyone then IDC. You be you and I'll be me.

    6. I've had a pretty good tolerance towards any hobby. Some of them would make me thing "why?" but I wouldn't judge it too long or say anything negative. As long as no one gets hurt, or anything negative happens, I don't care. But there is one hobby I utterly despised and now I have a better understanding of. GARDENING. Why plant a tree waste resources and complain when it sheds it's leaves??? BECAUSE IT LOOKS PRETTY?? THAT'S IT?? But then the same goes for dolls. There was a time when thread and fabric were sought out and cherished by people who had little to spend. My great grand parents basically. Saved every bit of threat no matter how small and used it. But here I am throwing away thread and feeling bad. Just so a dolly can look pretty.
So I have a better understanding of gardening now.
