1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Have you ever wished you could just win the lottery?

Jun 30, 2014

    1. I'm in the NO boat too thedarkeststar13! Actually I am more in the oh heck no! boat as far as the lottery goes. And its not because I dislike gambling; I just dislike money. I grew up with the Amish so my view on money is its necessary but its definitely not freindlich (friendly) as my Amish family would say. I also live a very minimalist life besides my dolls. They are the only thing I really spend on besides the necessities and even then I try to be as frugal as possible. So no I definitely would not want to win the lottery even if I could buy all the dolls I'd like.

    2. I would love to win, but I don't think I'd spend much of it on dolls. While I love them, I do think I could end up with more than I could ever really appreciate. I'd probably travel more and help my friends and family with their mortgages and student loans.

    3. Yes!!!
It would definitely help with this hobby

    4. I have fantasized about winning the lottery, winning the publisher's clearing house sweepstakes, inheriting a large sum of money...the list goes on! These fantasies usually revolve around paying off my student loans though. :P I would buy dolls with the winnings if there's anything left after that, ha ha.

    5. I would love to win the lotto. I would pay off the bills first and then buy more dolls with whats left.

    6. Most everyone's dream! First of course pay off dept and take care of personal things, but along the way buy a bunch of lovely dolls and give them amazing clothes, as well as props! Maybe one day~

    7. Looks like it's only the two of us so far. Pennsylvania non-lottery players represent! :P

    8. Um ALL THE TIME!!! who doesn't?! :XD:

    9. I've had fun thinking about what I'd do if I won the lottery. Pay off my student loans, buy a house, go to Disney World. But I've never wanted it badly enough to spend money on lottery tickets. And I've never had dolls in my fantasy plans.

    10. Like everyone else: heck yea xD I'd travel, buy an epic car, renovate the house and buy lots of BJDs and doll accessories ^^

    11. There's a lovely Russian anecdote: A guy dies and goes up to heaven and says to God, "Hey God, I've been a righteous man all of my life, I have lived unselfishly and raised a wonderful family, etc etc. Why, oh, why couldn't you just help me out and let me win the lottery or something?" and god said to him, "If you bought a stinkin' lottery ticket, you would have!"

I've bought one or two in my life & although I dream of winning the lottery, I find great reward in using money I've earned on my own to buy the things I want. ^^

Student loans, a new house, and tuition set aside for my kiddie would be first on the list if I ever won, though~!! BJD stuff will come after the necessities are paid for x3 *dreamy sigh*

    12. I would love to have a little extra money on the side just to purchase better quality food but I absolutely hate the concept of a lottery. It is legalized gambling and most of the time the winners spend the money on material items they have absolutely no need for. I'd rather see the money go to a good cause.

My mother always called the lottery taxes for the dumb because people who don't have money are putting much needed money into buying a ticket in the hope of winning more money than they'll ever need.

    13. Hah, good point there. I think I've bought a lottery ticket once, that's all. Might have to give it another go ;)

    14. Oh I would love to!I would buy my grail dolls (I have three),buy them some clothes, eyes, wigs, furniture!Put the majority of the money away for a house (some interior too!)and a car, give some to money to my family and charity. And the rest I would put away and continue to save :3 (although I would probably buy more stuff and take a holiday to Japan XD

    15. I'd go through it in a week! Everybody selling cool bjd stuff would be soooooo much wealthier because I would spend money like a drunken sailor!

    16. Not that I'd mind, but I'd have to actually play first. ;)

Though I do participate in the periodic contests on my usual radio streams, and I'd love to win the grand prize cash on that. Not to spend on dolls, though, but to spend on my student loans and paying off the rest of my car. Because once those are gone? All the money budgeted to them can go to fun things, like getting more clothes for these little guys.

    17. I'd love to win the lottery.
But I don't play. I bought a ticket once, won 10 dollars, and took that as a sign to take what I won and never look back. Maybe I'll play again someday but only if there aren't other things I want that I'd be wiser to save for.

    18. I kind of have come into a large (to me) sum of money and I actually am planning to get my doll list sorted out as well as some for my friends too after I upgrade my PC and get some new furniture ;u;

    19. Yes mainly because I've always wanted to be a full time artist and that way I wouldn't have to be a starving artist. It might be the only way I'd actually be able to get an EID arvid. :)

    20. Winning the lottery = bigger house = more room for dolls and books.

I see no problem here. ;)
