1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you feel about albino dolls?

Feb 4, 2013

    1. I would love to have an albino doll! :D They are absolutely stunning!

    2. I have a white doll I plan to turn into an albino! I think they are very pretty if done correctly.

    3. white dolls are generally my preference tbh , i think its the blank canvas way of thinking i have lol

    4. I don't have any albino dolls myself, but I have seen some very beautiful albino dolls on the forum :)

    5. Albino dolls can be absolutely gorgeous, when designed with thought and care. Sounds like yours is stunning!

    6. Kind of a piggyback on this. I like the look of dolls intended to be albino but a lot of people making them seem to miss out on the fact that albinism is most common sub-Saharan africa (i.e. more common in black africans or their descendants) in the area because of genetics (something pretty complicated and hard explain but wikipedia has a pretty good summary of it). Anyway, what im getting to is that most people seem more inclined to make white albino dolls as opposed to albinos that are native, black or asian even though albinism is a condition distributed throughout all races with a higher concentration in natives and blacks.

No i am not demanding people make their dolls how I think they should look. Do whatever you want with ur imagination, ur time and ur $$$.

And please read this comment thoroughly and with an open mind before attacking me which im like 100000% sure is going to happen. :u

    7. I don't mind it, personally. I can see why it creeps people out, but I haven't seen one yet that I thought was creepy!

    8. I really love dolls that portray people who are often forgotten. Albinism, port wine stains, vitiligo, etc. I think people like this are often underrepresented and it's very exciting to see them and let the people know they are beautiful. I have a friend with a port wine stain and she's very self conscious. I think her seeing that others think it's beautiful is very helpful.
Also albinism is so interesting to see in dolls, everyone here is very lovely.
