How do you feel about body blushing?

Jan 24, 2016

    1. I like blushing my dolls however its so much work I just get lazy to do it.

    2. I've done body blushing on my pale azz Ringdoll and it looks amazing! it breathes a little more life into the doll then just a solid color. took me forever to do though even for just a light coating. I don't have a color palette I follow I kind of tested pastel colors on a piece of paper and if they blend well with what skin tone the doll is I use them. I'm pretty happy with the results.

    3. on an other note I wouldn't blush my tan Iplehouse doll I'm afraid it would look very out of place on the sculpt.

    4. I prefer to leaving your doll bodies un-blushed. I heard that body blushing is easily to destroy if you change doll's clothes frequently. I don't know if this is true, but I would like to try body blushing in the future.

    5. I don't own a doll with body blushing yet but the iplehouse fid that I've ordered will come with this option. I'm excited to see if I like it and how well it'll keep up while changing clothes or posing the doll frequently.
Depending on the outcome I can imagine myself applying body blushing on my other dolls since it seems to be kinda easy to learn how to do it!

    6. When I do a face-up on a doll I consider that to be the whole doll, not just their face. I love doing body blushing, I think it really adds some life to the doll. I prefer to use colors that would realistically be for the doll, like say with a green doll I'd blush with green, not pink. It's actually a pet peeve of mine, I just personally don't like it when people blush with pink no matter the skin color, but that's their taste, there's nothing wrong with it.

    7. My first doll has body blushing and I think it adds to the more human/natural look. I haven't really had too many issues with it, the only problem for me is that even though it is nice, it can come off easily if rubbed too much (by clothing) or too hard while cleaning.

    8. I like when a doll has bodyblushing. Personally it looks weird when a doll has heavy blushing on her face and is totally blank on her neck and chest under clothes.

    9. The only doll I have with body blushing is one who came straight from the company with it (T&D Upsilon) he looks great. I’m too lazy to do the others but some really need it. Teo in particular, his hands and neck are very white compared to his face. I must get on with it, but I don’t wanna unstring him...

    10. Body blushing makes the doll look so much more "alive", sometimes it is absolutely beautiful. However, because of the sealant, the skin of the doll tends to loose its softness, so I prefer not to do body blushing on my dolls. If I do a photoshoot with a swimsuit for example, I will just play around on photoshop to make it look like body blushing (and precising it's fake of course).

    11. I love body blushing! I spent quite a lot amount of extra budget on my first doll to get her body blushed.
For me unless I'm going for a only-white skin specifically kind of character I'll blush all of their bodies!
I especially love natural nail and visible vain on their skin :)

    12. I've never had a doll with the body blushed though I like the realistic effect blushing the body gives to the doll (specially in photos). But I think I won't blush my doll's bodies because I'm a little paranoid. I know I wouldn't like to touch their body or change their clothes in order not to remove the blushing and that way I wouldn't be able to enjoy my dolls :sweat I think I have enough with the face up and the fact that I don't want to touch their faces :XD:

    13. I love the "completed" look body blushing gives a doll, but I prefer it to be more subtle. I'm actually planning to blush my doll, when weather permits!

    14. I personally am a big fan of body blushing, for me it just seems weird if a doll has a very detailed faceup and the body is just...blank. When the faceup is rather settled I feel like it wouldn´t look so uncomplete... Of course everyone has their own likings: I am a fan of skin texturing as wellas a little more realistic boy blushing so of course I have a big bias here. Regarding anime-esque dolls, I don´t mind much as their bodies are usually pretty simple.

    15. I have seen some gorgeous body blushing however I prefer not to have it on my dolls so that I am able to clean them :)

    16. i like when hands chest and feets are blushed. i need to try to do that myself on my dolls :-)

    17. I really love it on the fantasy parts, my Sard won’t be complete until he has dark hooves and full blushing! The first human doll I received with (obviously amateur) blushing looked sunburned though, it was a little terrifying to see! My color palette preferences vary, I have some milk-white dolls that will look good with taupe/grey shadowy blushing to accent their cool paleness, a new pinky-white girl who will want delicate apple blossom coloring and then some tan minis who will be all about the luscious peachiness and golden caramel tones. One fun way to experiment and play around with the color palettes is to snap a well lit photo but with part of the doll in shadow and then use the eye dropper tool in a photo editing program to pick out some tones.

    18. Only one of my dolls has body blushing and I only blushed his torso because sometimes he's shirtless. I think body blushing just chips too easily and it's not worth the effort or money. I blush hands though because they actually show with clothes on.

    19. I feel that the option of body blushing depends on the doll.

    20. After removing body blushing from tiny hands, I am pretty sure I'll never body blush. It looks nice, but it chips too quickly and is a pain to clean.
