How do you feel about body blushing?

Jan 24, 2016

    1. I prefer not to get body blushing unless it’s on non-human body parts like Doll Chateau Isabel’s wings or Impldoll Sam’s centaur feet.

    2. I can take it or leave it but I definitely love the look and aesthetic of it! Like others said, it makes the doll look more finished but if they're always going to have clothes on it probably doesn't super matter. I would just be afraid of the blushing coming off after time.

    3. All my dolls are unblushed, I always worry the blushing would be easily rubbed off and the clothes would be dyed . Anyhow the question never bother me, for my dolls dress up all the time.

    4. Full body blushing looks beautiful indeed, however I find them to be too much of a high maintenance. My dolls are not blushed as I don't find it necessary since they wear clothes that cover majority of their body anyway. Although, I might consider getting their hands blushed because I like the aesthetic of it.

    5. I really like the way a naturally blushed body looks, but I'd be so nervous about it chipping or what would happen if I handled it wrong without thinking.

    6. I like the look of body blushing, but none of my dolls have it. The body blushing my adopted dolls came with was always pretty badly chipped, so I've just cleaned it off completely. Fantasy parts are another story though, since they tend not to be clothed.

    7. For me, I blushed the dolls with white skin tone since I feel they look a little lifeless in blank condition and I only have like two of them. For normal skin dolls, I don't really plan to because it's really costly to maintain the blush since I am not an artist myself.

    8. I love the look of body blushing, but my dolls don't have any. Occasionally I've done a little gloss on the fingernails or a little color on the fingers and toes, but it tends to chip/scratch so quickly with the way I handle my dolls that it isn't really worth the effort for me. I find chipped/scratched body blushing more distracting than no blushing at all.

    9. It`s beautifull. The body with blushing looks more natural. But I heard that blushing often easily damages (.

    10. I fully agree with this. I love body blushing, but no matter how careful you are, you can't avoid some stains or spot-wear. It looks amazing, especially on a body with defines musculature, but removing stains will also mean removing some of the blushing, so maintenance will give you a lot more trouble.

    11. I just got my first fully blushed doll and with her (Doll Chateau Letitia) I can say I LOVE it!! It could be the extra fullset paint as well that has me drooling though. I will know better once my Soom Sabik comes in since I asked for the body blushing, this will be my first blushed big boy:love As for my Ring Doll Jack, I love his creamy pale white skin too much to blush it :drool It suits him so much!
I guess in short...I can take it or leave it as many of my dolls are fully clothed.

    12. I'd love to see the pics of your Letitia!

    13. I like body blushing, but I figure since most the times my dolls are clothed, it won't matter all that much. I do get their hands done, as they look so much more beautiful and delicate with it. :)

    14. body blushing is really nice depending on what your going for with the doll. It looks really nice on more mature dolls, especially ones with tattoos. But otherwise, im not a fan

    15. @PainfulSecrets yup! She's gorgeous! What a detailed and whimsical design on her blushing.

    16. I think that it looks best if the hands, feet, and neck area are blushed at least, it looks so strange when only the head is blushed and the body is completely blank, even if you put clothes on the doll you can still see those areas so i'd rather make sure it looks uniform.

    17. i love body blushing but hate how it gets torn up on the joints. i think next time im going to seal it with a clear resin spray. it will be permanent, but i dont change my dolls.

    18. I don't prefer it just cause I noticed that some people blush bodies pink, but when looking at the human body, I don't see pink tones/spots on me. do you?

    19. @LapisShufflin I would disagree. I see lots of different tones in skin. Knees are a bit more pink than thighs, palms are more red than forearms, veins and creases can appear blue and purple. I'd say there are a multitude of colors in the human body if you look for them
