1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you reply to family/friend saying guys shouldn't play with dolls?

Dec 26, 2010

    1. My brother said the same things.
But, he sees that the dolls are not really 'dolls' in traditional. I do not know yours, but mine are demons and angels and victims. Not suitable for children, in story line at least.
It's your money, your time, and in the end, your life.

    2. Oh yes we can! XD I can see it now: "This is your news at 11! This evening, is there an internet asylum full of crazies playing with dolls? We'll tell you after these commercials!"

    3. It's sad really, I spent my whole life telling everyone that a woman can do or be whatever she wants in this day and age... so it really saddens me that it looks like guys get that same straight-jacket treatment. We are all individuals first and foremost and I don't think anyone else has the right to tell any of us what we should or shouldn't do with our leisure time (usual disclaimers about age of consent and illegal stuff, you know the drill) ;)

    4. I once had a friend tell me that playing with dolls (even just having them) is strictly for females. I faux-seriously told him, "So is staying in the kitchen." He told me I was being sexist, I asked him if he wasn't behaving the same way. We are no longer friends.

    5. Well I am 50. I love dolls. I would never change that. My friends and family are pretty good about that. I have always played with dolls. It made my mother smile when she seen my Karma.
