1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Do You Spoil Your Doll(s)?

Apr 21, 2023

    1. The amount of doll furniture that I either bought or got as gifts from my family for my ¼ & ⅙ dolls is insane. They have complete bathroom both shower and tub, kitchen set with table and chairs, living room, bedroom, kids bedrooms with bunk beds ⅙ -four of those, a camping set, a studio, a chicken farm, a bakery, a Christmas set with fireplace and tree, beauty salon. I have a toy chest and two bins full of stuff for them, and small drawers full of props, food, and clothes. My smaller dolls are incredibly spoiled, but also this stuff is easier to find. When some one asks me what I want for birthday or holiday, I usually point at doll stuff. :3nodding:

My larger ⅓ + dolls though, they need stuff, they only have a couple outfits each, because they are hard to shop for, and my sewing is not phenomenal. I have a sofa I made them, and some wooden benches, and also a few chairs that I picked up second hand. They can share a lot of props with the smaller dolls, but some stuff just looks silly with them. The problem is their stuff take up so much space. I just don't have the room for all the stuff I would like to spoil my bigger dolls with.

    2. If I’m not making them things, then I spoil my dolls by sitting them on my bed or my lap, and stroking their heads. :XD: I tend to enjoy giving casual physical contact in my real-people relationships, so it’s really no wonder that my dolls get lots of affection and gentle pats too!

    3. Definitely clothes. I have a bit of a problem… Even if I have a doll fully dressed with several more outfit ideas on the way, I still come up with more things I want to dress them in. I’m taking a break on that stuff right now though, since I recently had purchased 3 new dolls and their clothes… And now I need to save up again.

    4. Always having him in a full outfit complete with shoes and accessories.
Keeping his hair nice and brushed.
Making sure he's secure on his stand and no cats have nibbled on him.
Taking the time to just observe and appreciate how cute he is on my desk!

    5. I don't often buy them impulse buys, but on my recent visit to London I couldn't resist buying Miku this little gift...

    6. At the moment, I buy 5 Surprise balls and Mini Brands for the mini books, food, and daily life things for my dolls. I also found that Re-ment sets are great for dolls, too.

    7. My dolls have oodles of props to play with, from a greenhouse diorama to a small store's worth of food and school supplies. They are also well dressed, with my older dolls having boxes of homemade clothing that get nicer as my skills improve.

    8. I know Amara is spoiled when a single purchase of clothes costs as much as an entire new doll. Then there is Cori who is almost exclusively getting her clothes custom tailored.

I love having opportunities to talk about them and share pictures -- whether on this forum or with close friends. I just really love to spoil them with attention and the attention of others.

    9. Spoil myself with new clothes. "I should spoil my dolls, too. It's not fair to just spoil myself." "I should spoil myself, too. Its not fair to just spoil my dolls." Repeat endlessly.

    12. I recently spoiled mine with new eyes. Honestly, I don’t know why I never invested in glass eyes before. They are amazing. Sometime in the new year I hope to spoil her with new clothes. I have some to-size furniture. Not sure where I put it after the move, though. T_T

    13. I think the best way I spoil my dolls is learning how to sew for them! I am still not the best, but it has been nice to push myself to learn hand sewing and a machine to put together pajama pants, hoodies, loose sweaters, and dresses for them! It makes me so happy to see them lounging in the clothes. I may try crafting furniture in 2026!
