1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How important is resin matching, really?

Aug 16, 2010

    1. Resin matching is pretty important to me because I'm really nit-picky. 80% is the lowest I'll go for a match if I had to (which is really too bad) because if making a hybrid, I prioritize proper body type to about 60% and resin match 40%. I stand even less for a character to have the wrong body type and and have the resin match better than for a character with the right body that doesn't match as well. Basically, I look for a company that matches the head, and if they don't have the right body type, I move to a lower matching company until I can find one with the right type. If there isn't a single company that matches at least 80% and have the right body type, I go to the one with the closest in both and would have to get the body blushed. xD

    2. for me personally, it would really bother me if my girl's face and hands did not match
but if someone wants to have a doll whose head and body resin don't match in color that is none of my business and they can do whatever they want, I've seen some really cool looking mismatched dolls

    3. Not too much, but I'd like the difference to not be too obvious.
