1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How long are you willing to wait?

Jun 17, 2007

    1. I waited a year for a custom LoongSoul doll. He was a gift, and his mom LOVED him. After seeing him, I was a little sad to give him away. However, a doll like that was well worth the wait. I am currently waiting on Farkas from Loongsoul. I hope I love him as much as I liked her "Takebashi".

    2. Heh, at this point longer than I realized. My wait time after ordering from the company was only a couple of months. At this point, my first doll has been away from home (with a friend who sews) even longer than that because he's having a custom outfit made and it simplified fittings/measurements. I've only had him in the house for two weeks and I miss him dreadfully. But at least that gave me time to learn to make a passable faceup for the second doll so that, when the first one gets home, he'll have a friend?

    3. I try to avoid long waits, which means I try to order well after an event period, it kinda sucks because I miss out on a good deal, but the wait is killer for me generally. I could never wait as long as some people have... I think its crazy but I have a lot of respect for them. The most i've waited is 21weeks, which when you have been pregnant, its more than half the time it takes to make another human...

    4. Hi, I do not like waiting, the longest I waited 8 weeks for my first BJD, from Harwich Impldoll. Prefer to buy second hand, I do not have to wait :-). I wish I could Loongsoul big boy's body, but when I imagine a long wait and prefer to rely on chance to appear somewhere Second Hand ... :-)

    5. I waited seven month for my Enyo. I think this is just about as much as I can handle.

    6. This feels very apt right now as the company I buy from is having very big delays. I'll wait 'til however long to get my doll to be honest. Not because I want to be seen as loyal customer, I just love those dolls above all others. Some people can wait around 6 months for certain companies, even longer. I'd just stay calm about it, I know it get it in the long run.

    7. I like layaway because I can usually afford smaller payments. Comming up with a lump sum is harder because some disaster always happens. If I have a 6 monh layaway going, it's not a big deal that it takes that long for the doll to be made and shipped. The only doll I had to wait longer for was the custom LoongSoul Doll, and I knew it was a 6-8 month wait time for him, so I wasn't concerned.

I am waiting for Farkas and YingLong, and it is driving me a bit crazy. However, since I missed YinLong during his inital offering, I am willing to wait.

    8. 6 months the most...why not? lol I know the wait is long so I don't give it too much thought...I try to spend my time planning their personality or looks and buying them stuff instead.

    9. 3 months. Unless I know beforehand it is going to be longer. Furthermore I don't mind delays, as long as the company let me know.

    10. I've been waiting 17 weeks so far for my first BJD. It's driving me insane. I've been told by the supplier (Angelesque) that it won't be much longer now and I really hope that is the case. It feels like forever! :(
