1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How long did it take for you to find out your doll's personality?

Apr 23, 2011

    1. For my first BJD, (she just arrived this month!), it was all planned out and ready for her arrival. I had a name and the wig, eyes, and made the outfit I wanted to dress her in. I even ordered her with the company face-up because it really fit the idea I had for her. 5 minutes out of the box, and I felt the stubborn vibe from her right away. It was frustrating, especially since I was so excited to meet the doll I had envisioned.:pout:
After playing with her a bit, I'm learning that she is so much more interesting to get to know if it isn't all planned out.:aheartbea

    2. sugar my first doll took me literally 2 days, I wanted a cute little good girl, i got a hellish, grumpy, nugget Of rage.
Azreul I got him from a friend and he was her prince and I figured after an hour he was very listless, as a resin soul he was a pain to get to move or stand and hold a pose. He is my lazy prince.
My fairyland Celine im not really sure about her shes really pretty and behaves poses like a dream its weird having a good girl after king of the lazy and rage nugget. doll leaves kira is very opinionated he is also broody and sulky like a cat he is my boy to my soon to be twin set of Kira and Ida( names to come later)

    3. I knew my doll's personality as soon as I unboxed her. I'd chosen her to shell a favorite character. The moment we met, she told me she'd fit the role perfectly.

I'd spent years deciding whether to buy her. I hoped I wouldn't order a beloved piece of fiction and then find a stranger staring up at me when I opened her box. Apparently I chose wisely!

    4. I got my first doll around 3 years ago and I still don't have a character developed for her and I have changed her appearance countless amounts of time, but none have yet to sit right with me. I think that is why I now plan my dolls characters before I order them and make the commitment
