1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I've had a Luts event head from 2013 floating for 11 years. I've often considered selling it, but I strangely like having it on my shelf and looking at its serene face. The empty eyes look rather enigmatic too.

    2. I have...9 and soon one won't be a floating head so really 8. It's just a matter of getting either the money for bodies or finding the right body cough my foveo salmon white one cough

    3. I have one currently - a LUTS event head that I use for faceup practice, it will never get a body.

Eventually, I'll have another two floating heads. One of them is a full doll right now, but I'm turning the head into the alt head (sleeping version) of an open-eyed doll I already have at home; I don't need the body and will sell it eventually. And I have another head on preorder currently, when it comes home I will buy a body for it and add it to my crew.

    4. i have one floating head for 2 years because i just can’t find a body for her. The head is MSD sized but her neck hole is 8cm which is quite large and all the bodies i‘ve found are mostly 7cm.
Maybe one day the right body appears or i just go with a smaller neck circumference and just mod it.

    5. I currently have two! I started the year with 9 floating heads so Im very happy about the amount I have now :3nodding:

    6. Currently four...two Dollmore "b grade" heads of which I plan to use one for a proper doll, one pesky Dollshe hound who didn't sell, and one Fairyland who's going to need a custom order body because I'm not a fan of the Feeple60's posing and joints

    7. Currently two. I'd managed to get down to zero for a bit, which was thrilling, but then I preordered some limited artist heads in the last few months. The plan is that I'll get them bodies after I finish the dolls I already have.

EDIT: Actually, I have three! I have a Bobobie Apollo that I bought to be a practice head for faceups, so he was never intended to end up on a body in the first place.

    8. I have 13 floating heads, plus two heads that are technically floaters but have bodies on order.

    9. I have way more than 20, and they are giving me an enormous headache buying all those it's one of the things I mostly regret doing with my collection so they have to go sooner or later, better sooner.

    10. 2024 Update!
I manage to put them back to 0 again last week.

I think I can't stand having a head with no future plan in my house, so I brought them to nearby second hand shop last week after 8 months of selling attempt here.

I might interesting to own a practice head at some point in the future, but for now I'll just enjoy the good feeling of 'no floating head'

    11. One Moonlight Wonder head soon to get a body. By the end of the month she will be on hers I hope.

    12. I currently have 1, a Lookback Dreaming Dark Elf Soo. She won't be a floating head long though, I planning to get one of the Minifee bodies DDE has in stock for her. I also have a Soo Dark Elf A head that came with my blue Jiyu, but I don't think it counts as I us it as his alternate head. I count it as the same doll with an alternate expression.

    13. Four and counting. But, two are for the same character, I might change my mind on that.

    14. 20-25, since some are alternate heads for complete dolls. Most of them won't be getting bodies/have a body on the way. I like to collect any sculpt I like and I will display them as blank heads when I get a stand for them. I use some of them as practice heads too, but that's for those that I want to eventually complete. Floating heads used to really bother me, but right now? I like them as just a head. It also puts all those eyes I have to good use and I don't need to fuss over a body. A lot of very small studios also just make a head sculpt and no body, so it makes things easy for me.
I've also seen some sick stands made for just heads, and there is one studio that makes head sculpts and they're on these fancy stands that also double as a candle holder. I'm not sure if that's a good idea to make them in resin though.
If I get more space in the future though, the floating heads might just gain bodies, although most will still stay a head.

    15. I've had one floating head for approximately four months now because I'm not able to purchase the body I want for it yet and I feel terrible about it, so I am amazed at how many of you have a collection of them xD
I only had one floating head before and ended up selling it almost the moment when it came home (it wasn't in scale with the rest of my crew and I had to let it go) so I hadn't experience the eagerness to complete the doll yet.
Crossing my fingers to change the amount to zero before the year ends >w<

    16. Zero, with zero plans of ever changing that. Floating outfits, however…

    17. Just one which I have no idea what to do with: the Luts 2008 event head that came free with my Kid Delf Hodoo. If counting the sleeping/dreaming/duplicate heads (I have 3 and a half, including a Littlefee faceplate), they are either sleeping/dreaming counterpart of my original dorries or alternate personas that share the same body. XD XD XD

    18. I have two that will never get a body. They aren't part of the storyline I have. They're actor heads, which I've had for years. I have Bradon Lee as the Crow and Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock. I do have to get them better bust so they have something nicer than sitting between the rest of the dolls

    19. Currently two, but only because I'm saving up for the bodies and waiting for the new Impldoll muscle girl body.

    20. One and a half! That sounds terrible doesn’t it…….the ‘half’ is a Realfee faceplate that doesn’t have its own body.

Come to think of it both of the floating heads were bought along with a full doll from the MB as I had intended to use them on the bodies but instead found myself preferring the original heads.
