How Many Outfits Does Your Doll Have?

May 12, 2009

    1. My dolls shares the clothes, mixes and matches, but I do have few clothes ment only for the one doll. C:

    2. Not enough ;) She has her default outfit and a Luts Margeurite will arrive this week. I want to have a Mio jeans and also a Volks outfit. (Volks lurker..)

    3. My puki has the most outfits about 8 I think.
Then my MSD girl has about 5.
My SD girls vary, two of the has 2 outfits and the other girl has 7+. I've got another girl coming and I have nothing for her and a MSD boy which I have a white suit set for as it didn't fit my girl plus anything he might come with too.
I don't think it is wrong to have different outfits for different seasons or weather, I think it adds more to the dolls.

    4. I'd say each has at least three complete outfits apart from one who is a tiny boy: I just can't find clothes for him! I've made the majority of the outfits myself and invested in some more expensive sets for others.

      Lets see.

Swan (Bisou Ai Shiny) 3 dresses, four pairs of shoes, two cardigans. Oh, and two coats.
Pan (Bisou Ai UU) a pair of trousers, a top, a jumper and a pair of shoes. (Neglected!)

      Incoming:
Mollie (Lati Yellow Pury) Four dresses, two pairs of shoes, a jumper.
Darwin (Ange Ai Uri) Pyjamas, 3 dresses, a skirt, a top, and apron and bonnet set, five pairs of shoes. (Spolit!)
Coral (Junior Ai Yenodu) a dress, four pairs of leggings, two skirts, a long jumper, a bag of F2BM stuffs, two pairs of shoes.

I have noting for my Glati yet because I know I'll not see him until August :P

    5. my MSD's have about 3 bought outfits each, and countless home made clothes :)
My tiny girl has about 15 outfits, all home made, my fox only has 2 outfits though as he is a pain to sew for :sweat
My full SD guy has 3 outfits up to now, and a few t-shirts, and my other guys need bodies before they even think about draining my wallet for clothes :|

    6. My dolls have one outfit each. The only exeption is Zana, who will have two outfits (two versions of the same dress). I want them to have outfits that perfectly describe who they are, I commision someone to make them for me. And because this is quite expensive, I decided they only need one :).

    7. Oh god I don't even wanna know how many XD
My dolls have taken up an entire shelving unit dealy of crap (and have begun taking over my room again). Tak alone Has filled an entire drawer (the biggest one too) and has begun invading another. I just can't say no to him ): That and I sew atleast a new outfit for one of my dolls a week. And each one gets a new one for every doll meet.. They all got seasonal wear too... I even made bathing suits and beach towels...

I change their clothes daily and the same outfit wouldn't repeat for months :P Though somethings I just like so much I end up having them wear more than one day in a row. I love Mephisto's zippered shorts so much I can't put him in anything else now.

Then there's their work clothes. Given their occupations they have a lot of interesting things... I have a porn star, he's got many hilarious costumes :P

I really am terrible with these dolls. They're so spoiled.

    8. Many many many - I think a photo may answer better than words....

You see that long run of shelf above the dolls....?
That's all boxes, bags and cases of doll clothes and shoes, seperated by size and (in several cases) specific doll.

    9. My doll has 3 outfits: Jeans and a shirt. Shorts and tank top. One dress. She winds up in her dress most often. I'm working on making her more stuff.

    10. One of my dolls has at least 10, some have only one, it honestly depends on how much time energy and inspiration I have for making them clothes, and whether or not I can find the right materials. I did once upon a time decide all of our dolls would have at least ONE bought outfit for them, and am also slowly working on this, but that outfit has to be something a little special, not just a run of the mill piece. This can get hard for my elves, but the DOD fantasy style outfits work fine for the most part

    11. Cecilia has several, but wears her Dollheart pink fer the most. ;)

    12. I make all my boy's clothes, so it's a case of constant outfit evolution. I've only had him since the end of January, but I seem to be managing one complete new outfits worth of mix and matchable clothes per month, including underpants. ;)

    13. Three outfits, but as many others share the same sentiments, is it ever enough? I find I purchase outfits for my doll and my dog more frequently than I do for myself or my husband...is there something wrong with that? :)

    14. Well, at the moment he has like 3 or so...not "bought together" outfits. But random clothes that look good together outfits.
I'll get more when i get the money....and that new doll...lol

    15. My two big boys share outfits since they are the same size. My big girl has two outfits and I plan on making some more for her. My MSD girl has about 10-15 outfits because getting clothes for her is rather inexpensive. And my tiny boy have one outfit that he's been wearing for the past two years, it rather sad.

    16. I mainly focused on getting each ONE outfit that suits their character perfectly. I think my project for the Fall will be to fine-tune their outfits and get a couple alternate pieces for each so they're not all wearing the same thing all the time. Right now they have one outfit each that suits them well, and I have a couple spare things as well that they can share. Two of them do have alternate SHOES, though. I just adore the shoes. I must have inherited the love for shoes, because my grandmother saw 3 of my boys this weekend and kept going on and on about their shoes.

Riddick has his fullset which he wears without the shirt that came with it. In the winter I put this really awful button-up shirt I made on him under his vest. Crow has his slacks (which are really a bit big on him) and a nice button-up shirt that had been Riddick's originally but now belongs to him. I'm not sure his outfit's really complete yet though. Kale's got cool pants and his hat, and sometimes wears a sleeveless black shirt. Fitch has his stripey socks and short pants and a hat with a raggedy sleeveless shirt that I made. It's awful, but suits him somehow (he is a pirate). Devon has two pairs of pants and three shirts. Only one of the outfits really SUITS him, though, and he needs better shoes. I'd kind of like to have a couple nicer outfits for the guys, too, but for now at least they're fully dressed and mostly in-character.

I also have enough random things to get three of the mini boys in pajamas if I needed to, plus a couple spare pants and a nice shirt and jacket that suits no one here yet. The pants I think will always be spares, but the shirt and jacket can belong to characters who haven't arrived yet.

The girl I haven't ordered yet sort of has 2 outfits (plus boots of course, undies, jacket, and extra shirts), but not a single complete outfit that suits her character. That's one of the reasons I haven't ordered her yet.

    17. I would probably get bored of seeing the same outfit every day and just make a few more, so I'd say from 2-5 different outfits more or less. Although I'm sure there's people who give their dolls many more outfits.

    18. My msd has probably about 5 or 6 outfits full not counting the ones I can make from mixing and matching the individual pieces, my Tiny only 2, my SDs (one boy and one girl) do tend to share outfits, except the dresses... he does steal her jeans and sneakers and even wigs on occasion. I think the SDs have probably 2-3 outfits that they can share. The SD girl on her own has 5.

    19. Well Milo and Riuske share a few outfits :sweat I hope to buy them more at A-kon this year. And lucky Folken has several outfits of his own that he does not have to share, at least until I get my DZ Floy :sweat

    20. My Hisui has.....erm....1. :/
