Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. 1. I think the face you can modify, like eyes oppening, carving mouth... But bodies... I don't know, but I care so much about knee and elbow (and hands and feet)

    2. Body sculpt is just as important to me. Face is definitely important but a visually pleasing body coupled with natural poses totally rocks for me!

    3. Equally important. Which is why I have hybrids. :P For example, I LOVE DZ Mo and Hid sculpts, but I hate both versions of the MSD boy body. So my Hids are on Lati Blue and AoD bodies.

The biggest body issues for me are:
      ~Bad poseability
~too childish (underdeveloped boy bits/girls with no curves/"chunky" boys)
      ~tiny or pudgy hands
      ~single joints

Some things, I can deal with to an extent. But if there are too many things bothering me, I will end up selling the doll.

    4. The face, of course, is what draws me first. But a bad body can put me off. My biggest issue has been finding an sd size girl sculpt that doesn't have breasts that I find odd looking. It doesn't help that the companies that have different chest molds to choose from seem to always have their display model made up with the largest option and I prefer the smaller more natural (to my eyes) option. Not that I have anything against larger chests, just that the ones I've seen are molded to look better when the doll is dressed and seeing them unclothed just brings a gut reaction of 'something's odd here.'

    5. i think both are equaly important... thats why it took my over a year to find one I like. I have seen scuplps with nice faces but would never think to dress them in somthing that would show there joints or body because it takes away from there face. there is nothing better in this hobby than a well rounded bjd!

    6. At first I thought head is more important, but playing with single-jointed doll made it clear: both! Gotta find more flexible one...

    7. I wish I had pondered this longer. I think I would of chosen a different doll. I really wanted jointed thighs and karma is not.

    8. I never face the problem when the body was so awful so as I need to care about it. But the face means much more for me than tha body

    9. I think the sculpt of the body is just as important as the sculpt of the face. Aesthetics is everything in this hobby, and if something just doesn't look right about the body, it's hard to enjoy the doll; vice-versa with the face. It goes both ways really, for me.

    10. I think both the face and body are important of course. But since I've got something with hands (don't know why, I just like hands) the arm and hand sculpture are very important to me.
And since I've always had eating disorders and just started a campain to help people with these issues, I prefer dolls not to be too thin. It just doesn't feel right. So all together I think the bodysculpture is very important^^

    11. I suppose with me it depends on what the dolls character is :/, my first dolls character is quite and sweet so the the dolls body i found was perfect for him, so if i wanted a doll with a sweet personality, and the body had a six or eight pack on him then i would probably just purchase the head i like and put it with a body i like :)

    12. I care about the face more, but the body is important

      ...Personally, I prefer my dolls boys with girly faces, and then it's weird when they have too many abs ^^;
So with all these 'new body types' coming out that are all muscly... haha it's turning me off quite a few dolls...

    13. I think they're both equal, but when I fall in love with a doll it's all about the face. However, I am annoyed by certain bodies (Migidoll, I'm looking at you) and refuse to buy the full doll. If I like the head and not the body, then I'll just make a hybrid. In that essence I feel like they are both equal.

    14. I always check out the face first - then I check out the body. If the body seems in proportion to the doll then I'll consider getting it. Seeing as most of my dolls are tinies, there's not much body to think about!

    15. The face is what gets me! Because I would probably rather hybrid my doll than mod their face. I realized recently that body means more to me than I thought. I recently purchased a really slim doll but I noticed I like the curvy female bodied dolls. So I guess in the end I would have to say they are equally important to me.

    16. The body sculpt can make or break my love of a doll. My skills are limited and even hybridizing a head sculpt I like is tough because not all white is white , NS is NS, and so on

    17. I'm gonna vote on the body. The body is way more important to me than the face.
Why? cause I'm a face up artist and trust me it is really easy to make any face sculpt into something I like. I can change the features and mood of the dolls face easily. It's not hard at all.
But I can't change the silhouette and structure of the body. No matter how heavy the body blushing is it's not going to change the general shape of the body.
When i look at doll companies I look at their body first. If it appeals to me i might consider poking a head on it. If the heads are not as nice I will decide on a head based on the body...

    18. I'm an equal kind of girl. If I really like the face sculpt, I'll make sure the body looks nice, especially for girls. I have a thing when it comes to breast molds, because most of them on dolls look really unrealistic to me, so that will almost immediately put me off of a doll, even if their face is really nice.

    19. I think I care for the face more, or rather it's what I look for first and then see how's the body.
But to me both are really important !

    20. This is why I have so many hybrids. Because the face has to be as close to perfect as I can get, and they body has to meet a few different criteria: It has to be the correct body type for the character, it has to look good, I have to be at least okay with its posing ability, and - with the exception of some smaller dolls and twins - I can't already have another doll on it. Some of my dolls are not hybrids, because the same company that made the perfect face also made the perfect (or very damn close) body, so it just worked out. Like my migidoll ryu is on the migidoll body because it's the right body type and I'm fine with its posability, or my Soom TG which is just a hybrid of various MD parts on the TG body, or my realpukis, because they're super posable and I've yet to see an body that small that I liked as much.

I do have one doll whose body I am not a fan of the sculpting on, and the reason I am okay with this is because he's actually pretty damn good at posing, it's the right body type, it was cheap, and once I finish making him a shirt and tailoring his suit, he will practically never be undressed, unless I am just changing his clothes. So I don't have to look at the body that I think is kinda ugly! Yay!

But almost all my dolls are or will be hybrids. Like I LOVE LOVE LOVE the old Limhwa body but for a long time had no reason to have one because none of my characters had that body type, but then I 'grew up' one of my MSDs into an SD and it was perfect for her, so now I have an Unoa Latea (her MSD form was a Sist) on a Limhwa body. So people don't like the way it poses, but I don't care because I can get her to do what I want most of the time, and it's GORGEOUS. I also finally settled on a head sculpt for a character who I KNEW I wanted to be on a Feeple65 body because she's the cliche\classic tall, voluptuous, sexy redhead of the group. Two of my Soom TGs are on LTF bodies because they pose like nothing else I've ever had the chance to play with, my god. Two more will be on non-Soom fantasy bodies. My Dollclans Vezeto will be a hybrid only because Dollclans doesn't make a body that fits him, so he'll be getting a Spiritdoll body eventually since the resin will match (and THANK GOD it also fits his body type!)
I plan to have a very diverse doll family...
