1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. For me it's 50/50, I have to love the whole doll before I'll buy it. I dont like a doll with a body that is over exaggerated in one way or another, or unrealistically thin. I also prefer a doll that's got a sweet face with emotion, over one that has something rather blank and generic. I'm also not fond of the sleepy or overly sad expressions that some dolls have. But that's just my personal preference, I know they appeal to a lot of people and I still find them beautiful!

    2. While my dolls tend to stay clothed the body is still very important because different proportions can give a really different look. I love some iplehouse JID faces but I'm not keen on the bodies so I probably won't get one. I'm always put off by immature looking bodies, too.

That said, when I'm trying to choose a doll I look at faces first and will get the doll based on the face even if the body isn't perfect. There are so many variables with bjds I'd never be able to buy one of I didn't make a little compromise! I'm not really interested in doing modding or hybrids at this stage so it seems unlikely that I'd find a doll with the perfect face and perfect body.
