    1. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?
Very, very important. I love playing with my doll as much as I like looking at her, but body type is still secondary to the face. The body must be flexible. I can't stand a body that has a limited range of posablilty.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?
      Nope.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?
      Nope.

    2. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?

I'd say pretty important. I'm a huge fan of the LUTS Delf boy body, and I rather much like the DoT bodies as well. I want a body that looks less mature. I don't want muscly looking abs or toned pecs or any of that. I just want a nice flat tummy.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?

If I absolutely loved the face? Yes. I plan on eventually getting a Bliss I think... I can't stand the body, but I'm more than likely going to have clothes on him anyway... so it won't be that big of a deal.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?

Out of the question. I'd try to buy maybe the body by itself, but as far as I'm concerned, the perfect body is the LUTS body (and thats just my own personal opinion...) so I have plenty of those.

    3. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?

Extremely important. Considering that the body is generally more expensive than a head, I want to get my moneys worth. If I'm going to pay $300-500+ for a body, it better be gorgeous or I wouldn't buy it.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?

Probably not. I used to have a Lati Blue Cara, and I still think that she has a lovely face, but I didn't like the Lati Blue body very much. I thought the sculpt of the body was nice, but the poseablility and hands were meh so I ended up selling her. Poseability of bodies is another big factor for whether I'll buy it or not.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?

Probably not, cause I think Unoa's have some of the most beautiful heads and an amazing body :) Why get a head I'm not crazy about with a perfect body when I already have a doll with a perfect head AND body?

    4. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?
Very important. I want a body that looks nice and poses good or better, if it doesn't have those qualities then its either not appealing at all or I'd need to consider a hybrid.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?
I would rather not buy a full doll if I didn't like the complete package. Only if the head is 100% oh my god to die for would I get a doll with a body I disliked. Even then, I would still probably consider a hybrid.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?

Never. I think body is important, but the face is more important. The body can be hidden under clothes and sueded/wired to improve posing but you can't improve on a less then perfect face.

    5. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?
I would say it's pretty important, though that also depends on the character I have in mind. If a character has a very specific body type (short, tall, broad, skinny, etc) it becomes more important than if I didn't have an idea already in mind.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?
If I really didn't like the body, I would just buy the head and make a hybrid with a body I liked. I have 6 hybrids, if that tells you anything, lol.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?
No--I have to love the head, no way around it. I might keep the body in mind for a future hybrid, however.

    6. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?
The body is pretty important to me. I definetly have a strong opinion on how I like my dolls body to look. I dont like the girls to have over the top big boobs like Pam Andersen . I like them to look normal or smaller busted. I dont like my boy bodies to look to over the top muscle ripple abs like a giant action figure.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body??Oh yes as long as I could find a body that I like that would match it.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body??
Erm..no the face is the first thing that attracts me, everything else is secondary. I know it seems like I have contridicted myself somewhat but but I first fall in love withthe face then work around the body if I dont like it.

    7. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?
Very important! My favorite bodies are those with detailed hands and muscular detail/boobies that aren't over the top. I want a lot of poseability too.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?
Yes, but I'd probably buy the head and hunt for a separate matching body from somewhere else if I could. If not, I'd just keep the head and try to sell the body. xD

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?
If the body didn't come separately, yes. I'd do the same as if I found a beautiful head on a less-than-beautiful body - someone out there would probably love it more than I do. Though, depending on how ambitious I felt, I might modify it too...

    8. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?
The body ALSO represents the doll's character, I think. The body isn't as important as the head for me, but it is a critical representation of the doll's maturity to me.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?
Well, it depends. If I absolutely hated to body, I would buy just the head. If the body was so-so, and the price was right, I would buy the doll and work it into her character.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?
Yes. If a part of the doll is 'close to perfect' for me, then I will make do with it. And besides, there's nothing that a cute face-up can't fix!

    9. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?

Highly depends on whether I intend to buy a doll to suit one of my characters or whether I'm just buying a doll that won't be based on any of my characters. If it's the former, than yes, the body really matters to me as much as the head sculpt.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?

Again if I didn't have a character in mind, then maybe... probably not... I mean, I love the new Luts Super Senior Delf boys, their head sculpts are gorgeous... but their bodies kind of creep me out, especially the way you can push their upper body forward in unnatural ways to pose them better :XD: So if the body creeps me out, it's unlikely I'd buy it even if the head sculpt was nice.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?

More than likely yes... I'd probably replace the head, or modify it someway... probably the former and I'd keep the less beautiful head and use it as a practice head to practice face-ups on.

    10. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?
To me, the body has to match the face sculpt with proper age. I honestly can't imagine seeing a DoD Pitts face on a more mature mini body. That's like putting a YoSD face on a mature body tiny... NO WAY. I'm honestly more concerned about face than body.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?
      See above.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?
      See above.

    11. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?
The body is just as important as the head. They both have to match the character I intend for them.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?
No, I would buy the head and find another body.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?
No, then I would buy the body and find another head. ;-P

    12. When you buy your doll, how important is the dolls body?

Very. I want smaller (read MSD) mature bodies, I don't want little kid bodies. Some of the choices they have the breasts sitting in a rather unnatural position that looks fine with clothes on, but sometimes I like dressing the dolls in revealing clothes and it would look funny. Especially if I have a low cut top or dress and it becomes painfully obvious that her breasts appear to be in a push up bra without the bra. The male bodies, ugh, there are so few with any sort of muscle defintion it's just disgusting but this happens in nearly every size. Either the body is totally built or nothing or just barely above nothing. So many dolls have gotten the ax from me on body alone.

Would you buy a doll if you loved the face but didn't like the body?

Like just the head or the whole doll? If it was an option to get just the head I would get just the head, but it would be pushed so far down on the list odds are I would not get it.

Would you perhaps buy a less beautiful head because it came with a close to perfect body?

Nope. If I don't like the face, then screw the body. I have to like the whole package or no buying for me.

    13. mostly the face attract me first, then the body.
Like my muse doll, I really love her faceup and then I start to like her body. It looks like really model with long leg :D
and for my school head A, I got him a long leg body because I want him to be higher then my EL.

    14. I think I care about the body more. Personally I feel all the molds can be pretty with proper face-ups, but a bad body, what can you do to it? Maybe that's why I have so many floating heads. Cuz I can't bear unqualified bodies, but I have no money to get good bodies for all my boys. *Sweat*

    15. Body is everything, hands down. Head is always changeable, not a problem. Most of the value worth of a doll is the body. There are plenty of pretty faces, that is subjective. It is the quality that maters. That is why I trust Volks and tend to find myself attracted to the SD16s. Their faces and body are equally beautiful. The quality is the highest as well.

    16. Sometimes I'll fall in love with the face of the doll, but then when I look at pictures of the sculpt and it's not something I like, it can be a turn off. I figure if I'm going to spend so much on a doll, I have to love the doll in it's entirety.

    17. If the body is bad it wont stop me from buying the doll, but it is definately a hendrance.

    18. Both are important to me. I fall for faces first, but a body sculpt I don't like can make me less likely to buy a doll, unless I can get just the head and hybridise it. Take Dollzone, for example. I am hardcore in love with one of their boy head sculpts (X) but the body is just...not for me at ALL. So I have an X head, but he's on a different body. This is probably going to sound weird (or...maybe not, considering that I'm talking to other doll people), but I can't stand the way DZ do the boy genital sculpt. Yeah... I refuse to buy their boy bodies cos of a wonky penis. Told ya it was gonna sound weird. XD It is little things like that, though, that can put me off a body. I guess I can just be nitpicky sometimes. *shrug*

    19. I think the face and the size are most important, I traded my new DoC body for my friend's old DoC body because the suwarriko posing was more important to her doll's character than the posing was to mine.

    20. Interesting!

I am much more concerned about the head sculpt than the body. MUCH more. That's why I have no problem purchasing less-expensive bodies for *some* of my dolls.

On the other hand, who wants a body that just doesn't work with the head? -- or, even worse, that won't stand up, much less hold a pose....

Still, if I can find a beautiful head that I am drawn to, and a less-impressive body works with it, that's good by me.
